25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Imladris 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning
In a beautiful sea-side amphitheater sit the many guests who are to attend the wedding of Morthol, squire to High King Elendil the Tall and Lady Nolah Pennbeleth, a Numenorian noblewoman. The sun is just about to set and Morthol stands at the altar before Prince Isildur-he who will officiate the union, as Lady Nolah is walked to the altar by Damrod, a Knight of Arnor.

Nolah Pennbeleth
Damrod left Nolah as she passed the final row of seats before the altar. Taking a shaky breath she mounted the few steps quickly though to her it seemed like an eternity. As her eyes fell onto Morthol's face she let a smile show. Some of the tension drained away immediately. After her near-panic in want to see him earlier it was a re-assurance to see him standing beside her. She took another breath, almost imperceptibly and cast a glance in Isildur's direction.

Lord Isildur of Minas Ithil Morthol Ildagor
Everyone fell silent, as the bride made her way to the altar. As soon as she got there, Lord Isildur began his speech.
"Strangers from distant or nearby lands, friends of old or new, young and elderly, ladies and gentlemen, Eldar, Naugrim or Edain, be welcomed to this sacred ceremony that shall officialize the bond between two younglings of Numenorean race, Nolah Penbelleth and Morthol Ildagor."
"Before we go any further; Are you certain that you wish to proceed with the ceremony?"
Morthol let out a nervous "Yes". Nay, he was not nervous because of the ceremony, he was nervous because he had hundreds, no, thousands watching his every move, and that was not at all comfortable.

Nolah Pennbeleth
"Yes." Nolah replied in in unison with Morthol. She swallowed back a nervous laugh. She'd answered eagerly enough and with those many people watching she was deathly afraid of making any sort of mistake.

Though Gil-galad had much he wanted to tell Isilien, the beginning of the wedding would not allow it. "We have an esteemed guest in our household this night, Isilien," was all that he could utter before being hushed by an irritated crowed.
Even High Kings must abide to common courtesy, after all.
Nar, meanwhile, had taken a seat as far away from the shore as he could. Togo had spoken of how the waves were enchanting. Nar muttered that Togo was clearly not entire sane.
((I swear, I had posted in the old thread just before I had locked it. Its disappearance is most irritating; but I'm not rewriting the entire post. Hence me throwing a summary at you!))

Isilien Andunel
Isilien arched an eyebrow at her Father's comment but said nothing. It wasn't the time. She was curious, but she knew she would find out later anyways. With a slight nod she quietly tiptoed back towards her seat to stand by her husband. He reached out and took her slender hand into his own, squeezing it gently while the bride walked down towards the altar and her waiting groom.

Araloth watched as Nolah walked up the aisle. She looked radiant, yet nervous. As the twain spoke in unison, declaring their content to proceed, Araloth stifled a small laugh. They were quite obviously eager to be out of the public eye.

Mithlond ~ Mindon Lindlieva 25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Rivendell 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning Kareswen
Kareswen sat and watched as Nolah made her way to the altar, she did look beautiful, even under the rags. The ceremony reminded Kareswen of her own, and periodically her eyes would shift to her husband, and she smiled.

*~Nervously picking at his already bitten fingernails Togo glances around his short legs dangling in the air far from the ground. He couldnt see very much but what he could see was enough to keep him entertained. It seemed elves of all kinds were gathering to see this grand event and he wondered to himself if this was a royal wedding, or if an event like this was always this extravagant. He guessed the second one using what knowledge he did know of the elves but rather liked the idea of being able to attend the first one. If he had intended to keep in touch with the folks at home (which he hadnt) he would've liked to explain to them how he attended such a regal important event. He glances over at Nar who was muttering something about his sanity and giggled. He wasnt crazy just a little romantic when it came to simplistic things. Very un-hobbit like.~*

Mithlond :: Mindon Lindlieva 25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Rivendell 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning Nolah Pennbeleth Nolah gazed momentarily at Mothol in awe, astonished by his sudden beauty and the armor in which he was encased. He looked as powerful as a king. Breaking from her reverie she suddenly realized that it was indeed her turn and carefully, with as much grace as she could muster she threw back her cloak and let the old tattered dress fall to her feet. She followed her soon-to-be husbands lead and wrapped them in the white sheet and placed them beside Morthol's bundle. She now stood in her silver silken splendor, her hair free from the hood hung about her in a dark shining waves. Her jewelry glinted in the sun and she seemed to glow from within with a warmth and anticipation.

Nar sat silently at the back of the wedding area. Whatever it was that Isildur was saying, Nar knew only one-thing: he talked way too much. The words that the Prince of Gondor spoke were unknown to the Dwarf-lord, due to the earplugs that only were only hardly sucessful in blocking out the sound of the Sea, cruelly assailing the sands of the land.
He glanced at Togo. The little guy was enjoying himself, it seemed. "First time yeh've been to a wedding of the high folk, ah see..." muttered he. Enchanting at first, yes, but after one hundred years attending seven every summer gets to be a bit much.
Gil-galad, meanwhile, was biting his lower lip. It was all that he could to to prevent screaming before the entire crowd that his son was returned to him at long last.
He contemplated speaking to Isilien using osanwe, the communication of thought. Yet how would she react, the High King realized. Certainly, in her joy, she would inadvertantly disturb Morthol and Nolah's chief moment, and the king did not at all wish to see that occur.
And so silent he remained.

As Nolah laid her rags beside Morthol's, Isildur proceeded with the ceremony.
"Very well. Now..."
He turned a few pages of the old book, skipping some unnecessary parts and sermons, and proceeding to the vows, the final parts of the wedding.
"The time has come for you to take your oaths before the witnesses here present. Kneel now, and speak your oaths before us all."
The couple then kneeled before the altar. Morthol was the first to speak;
"I, Morthol Ildagor, hereby swear, before the witnesses here present and the one that binds our union, before my beloved one with whom I shall now wed, that I shall be ever faithful to our bond, that I shall be with her to the very end, until the time of our deaths or until the ending of the world, and may eternal punishment fall upon me if I am to break this oath for whatever reason."
He was visibly blushing, as he turned his head to Nolah, fearing that, at the last moment, she would give in to her nerves and depart the place running.

Mithlond :: Mindon Lindlieva 25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Rivendell 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning Nolah Pennbeleth Nolah felt a prickling at the corners of her eyes and blinked furiously for a moment-completely horrified that she was on the verge of tears while Morthol spoke. She'd always told herself that she wouldn't cry on her wedding day...but as she stared at the face of her betrothed she couldn't help it. He was blushing and she wanted to lean over and press kisses all over his reddened cheeks. She didn't. Instead she held her head high, a smile curving her lips and spoke her oath before all. "I, Lady Nolah Pennebeleth, hereby swear, before the witnesses here present and the one that binds our union, before my beloved one with whom I shall now wed, that I shall be ever faithful to our bond, that I shall be with her to the very end, until the time of our deaths or until the ending of the world, and may eternal punishment fall upon me if I am to break this oath for whatever reason." She tried to speak clearly, to articulate every syllable as the oath was made. Her fingers itched to entwine with those of Morthol but she took a breath, glancing shyly at the squire.

*~ "It's nice" he whispered back to Nar, swinging his legs to and fro his palms pressed tightly against the chairs sides. "even if i cant understand what they are saying." He let his mind wander a bit to weddings back home. Not this fancy do up at all, just a man and a woman pledging their love to one another before their closest friends- at least thats what he had heard come to think of it he had never been at a wedding back home either. They usually had the kids in another room unless you were related directly to the bride and groom. Scratching his ear a tad he wondered how long the wedding was going to last his curosity- perhaps the one thing he did have that was hobbit-like tending to take control when he sat down for a long amount of time. *~
