The realm of High King Ereinion Gil-galad. The most part of the remnants of the Noldor dwell here, in scattered cities about the Gulf of Lhun. Forlond is the chief city of Forlindon, the lands north of the gulf, and Harlond is the greatest of Harlindon, south of the Lhun. But the greatest city of all is Mithlond upon the River Lhun, the Grey Havens, where the king and his shipwrights dwell, and where the Quendi may take ship into the West. The people of Lindon are mostly Noldorin and Sindarin, making Lindon a mighty Elven-kingdom: a memory Of Beleriand and Its Realms.

Special Subforum Rules
POSTING IN THIS THREAD
Don't. It's not my fault that the crew apparently can't lock stuff in subforums yet. Posts made in this thread will be terminated without warning.
THREAD TITLES
You have the freedom to name a thread whatever it is that you wish. Naturally, it does have to be relevant to the subject of the RP contained within. Let your creative juices flow; I feel as if we're all intelligent enough in here that I don't need to drown you in examples.
LOCATIONS AND DATES
You no longer need to place the location and date in every single post. That is only done in the thread-based RP because two groups can RPing in the same thread in different places at different times. The subforum eliminates that problem.
So, where should locations and dates be posted? Place them at the top of the first post in a thread, and you're good to go for the entire duration of the thread.
FIRST POSTS
You may be wondering about how long and elaborate a first post in a thread needs to be.
It doesn't need to be either.
Just treat it like any other post you'd make. The only extra thing that is asked of you is that you post the location and the date on the top.
DEAD THREADS
Threads will die in this format. That's good; it means that a thread was used to its fullest, and the posters within have moved on. It's a sign of activity within the guild.
Dead threads will not be locked, but it is asked that you don't post in them unless need drives you. Try to find a living, breathing thread before attempting CPR on a rotting one.
This is not a ban on posting in old threads, however. Sometimes, doing so could be useful; hence the crew not locking threads even if they've been inactive for months.
A FINAL NOTE
If the subforum test works out, this post will be "moved" to the rules thread. However, because Lindon is the only location with a subforum as of this moment, I felt it best that it be places here instead.
Now have fun, and RP in your brand-new subforum!
P.S. Suggestions are welcome. This is a test, after all, and it will fail without input. You can either PM a crew member, or post your thoughts in the OOC thread.
