Panda had found herself in a nice green pasture after walking what had seamed like days to get there. She took it upon herself to move from everything she knew because she had to admit it- she was quite afraid of the Soquili. She was sure they were probally very nice. But at the same time they were oh so very big, and she was just a tiny little Usdia. And when it came time to graze she often got the more yellowy grasses because she just didn't feel brave enough to move past the larger horses hooves.
Looking down at the grass below her she could see that they weren't yellow at all. And the flowers were in bloom from not being trampled. She smiled at her 'secret' little pasture. Then put her head down towards the ground for a few seconds lipping the grass as if she couldn't believe her luck to be alone.

It would probably have been easy to mistake him for part of the scenery, given that Jonquil was stretched out in the midst of a field of lively purple flowers, lying on his side, soaking up the sun. It had been some time since he'd visited this particular pasture, and it was apparently that no one else really seemed to have found it, either. The flowers were in full bloom, and the grasses carried no evidence of recent visitors.
Sighing contentedly, he rolled onto his back, legs sticking up and kicking as he rubbed along the ground. It was true that he loved to explore, but Jonquil was just as much a fan of relaxing as he was not, and it was the perfect day to simply enjoy the sunshine.
He was quite unaware that anyone else was present, much less that they could be watching him at that very moment.

She nibbled at the grass tasting the fresh greens over the tounge. Ah she should have left sooner then she did thinking about how wonderful this place was. Panda lifted her head and swallowed contently, the bells jingling haphazardly her not even thinking anyone was around but herself. She had after all scanned the place with her eyes before settling. She would have definatly noticed a Soquili, let alone another Usdia like herself- the grass blades weren't THAT long.
But something was still unsettling to her. Her ears were deciving her with a feint russling sound in the grasses far beyond herself. But again she picked up her head and looked again and there was nothing. She sighed "Figures the one place I go to to be alone...is the one place where I become queen of the mice." She took her hoof and stamped it nervously praying one of those horrid creatures didn't come near her. Oh how she hated mice.

He might have dozed off if he hadn't heard something, something he couldn't quite put a name to, but something nonetheless. It wasn't one of the usual sounds of nature, which was what caught his attention. Rolling onto his stomach, he lifted his head, ears pricked in the direction of the noise, flowers sticking haphazardly out of his mane.
It took him a moment, but as he scanned the field he noticed a small shape in the relative distance. He blinked, canted his head, and realized it was an Usdia.
Unaware of how ridiculous he looked, a head popping up out of a sea of flowers, he called out, "Hello!"

She looked startled for the instant. But was relieved that it hadn't been mice that had been rustling the grass. Though on the other hand she wasn't really pleased that a Soquili had found her private little valley. She sighed but figured it had only been one Soq and she wasn't rude. So when he spoke up she trotted closer to him to get a better look. "Hello." She wiggled her tail back and forth the bells dinging again.
He seamed like a pretty nice guy from the looks of it. Though he had been covered in grass and flowers from what looked like a long time he'd bee rolling for. She had to hold in a snicker but with a smile looked at him and pointed her nose to his mane. "You have something in your hair dear." She ment it all in politness though.

Smiling, Jonquil remained as he was, seeing no reason to stand up and tower over the mare before him. He'd never met her before, which wasn't really surprising given the number of Soquili in the lands, but was rather a treat for him. A day to meet someone new was a good day indeed.
When she gestured to his mane, he went a little crosseyed, attempting to look up at his braided bangs. He couldn't see anything from there, but no doubt she was right - for the amount of time he'd been lazing about in the flowers he almost certainly had some in his mane.
"Do I? Flowers, I'll bet." He shook his mane, amused when a few purple petals broke free and floated to the ground around him. "I suppose that'll happen when you're sunbathing in the flowers."

"I don't blame you. This place is very pretty." She smiled at him watching the flowers fall. "Though it's a good look for you." Again she beamed at him with open friendlyness. She was also glad that he had choosen to remain on the ground. She did have some disliking of being overshadowed. That was another reason why she had made her journey to someplace so remote.
"Though next time instead of wearing them you should eat the purple ones. Those are very tasty- at least to my personal prefence anyway. Better then grass- well then again most things taste better then grass." She shook her tail once more jingling the bells attached to them.

"Eat the purple ones?" Somehow, for all his curious nature, he'd actually never sampled purple flowers. He supposed because he considered them things of beauty and adornment, not really meals. Grass he liked well enough, especially crisp, plump green grass, but he always found himself eating around the flowers. Why was that, really? He couldn't be sure.
Musing on it, he lowered his mouth, gently biting off the heads of a couple of flowers. There was a certain sweetness to them that the grass lacked, and as he chewed, he tried to decide if he liked it better or not.
Well, it wasn't bad, but it really wasn't all that great either. He would stick with grass.
He swallowed, then smiled at her. "Not bad. I think I'll stick to grass, though." As if suddenly realizing he hadn't introduced himself, he added, "I'm Jonquil. It's a pleasure, miss."
