Another boring day in the Pridelands... just like the day before and most likely the day after. Nothing seemed to change here. Since his aunt and cousin disappeared, his other cousin taking over ruler ship, things had settled back into routine. It was like a pebble thrown into a pool... ripples spread, but eventually stilled again, leaving no mark behind. It was almost sickening. Matsai was bored of it, bored of this place and the lack of anything but long, drowsy days.
Stretched out on a rock in a more remote part of the lands, the blue seer frowned as he concentrated on the heated air before him, watching the world bend and ripple through it as he struggled to pull up a vision not triggered by touching another. He had sworn he would learn to control it, but thus far no luck in that endeavor. It was frustrating, to try so hard and have nothing to show for it. He was tired of living in fear of the visions, of the pain they often brought him as they flooded his mind.
Where the hell was Ahai? The thought occurred to him. Part of this frustration was due in part to his twin being so much absent. After spending the better part of their lives in close company, it was distracting and unpleasant to spend so much time apart from the other half of himself. What could his twin possibly be up to that took him away so much? He scowled at the thought, growling low in his throat as he shifted sulkily.

((Accessories.))
Chamchela was in a right fit mood. By no fault of Ahai's she had managed to temporarily lose her brood. She'd gone to train a bit and found they weren't where she thought she'd left them. Naturally she denied being lost, and really that wasn't so much the case, so much as she'd spotted Matsai from above and took him to be her equally egotistical and sexist mate. She was furious to see a lack of three little forms following, and oh boy was he in for it now.
The goddess landed before Matsai with none of her USUAL flare but plenty a new. Simply dropping out of the sky she landed on all four paws before him with a sharp snapping in of her wings and a loud thud, a growl ready on her lips.
"YOU! What's the matter with you?! What are you doing out here without them?! Where did you leave them?? I swear if there's a single strand of fur out of place on their heads because of your carelessness I'll rip your spine out through your a** and beat you over the head with it!!!" The furious goddess snarled, winds swirling dangerously about her. She had yet to notice the difference at the moment, blinded for the time being, though all too soon she'd realize that Matsai was lacking the build of the male she'd left with their cubs, and that their face markings and scents also differed. All in good time yet though.

The whoosh of great wings above him was all the warning Matsai had and he jumped back from where he'd been laying on instinct, years of desperation not to touch another living being making his reflexes quick. He landed on white-tipped paws the same time the large... goddess? landed before him.
Oh, fantastic. His face registered surprise for a split second before his lips pulled back in a snarl and he backed slowly away, seeking for a safe, out-of-paws-reach distance. Only then did he school his features to blankness, straightening up as he gathered his pride around him like armour.
"I knew most Gods were a few wildebeests short of a herd, but now I'm convinced every single one of them are mad as hares." He said coldly as green eyes narrowed in a face that matched his twin's, save for the star shining between his eyes. A star that apparently his nephew shared, though no one but Ahai knew that at this moment. "I have nothing of yours, Goddess, so I suggest you go bother someone else." He spat the word goddess as though it left a foul taste in his mouth. His eyes never left her though, too wary of her getting within an inch of his blue hide.

Elly knew something was up when Matsai jumped away from her, and rude as it was (Facts were facts, Elly wasn't one for manners anyway.) she stared at the focal point on his face as he spoke, narrowing her eyes. Unless Ahai had gotten a tattoo and gone on a flash diet since she'd seen him last this wasn't who she thought it was. She didn't even care to acknowledge the gone he'd used in addressing her, yet.
"Oh shut the hell up, idiot, before I smack the teeth out of your jaws." She snarled lightly, lip curling in what looked like disgust. "I'll bother you all I want. What's your name, mortal?"

Matsai burned with rage as she spoke to him, calling him an idiot and a mortal. It was a sore point, this lack in him. He'd not been good enough to earn the love or even just attention of his father and he didn't need some pumped up goddess adding to it. His face hardened into blankness, nearly cold enough to grow frost.
"You would do well to speak more politely to others. Not everything in life can be won by harsh words and a snarl. If you used your brain rather than your ego to speak, you'd know that. But then, perhaps your head is as full of hot air as your attitude." He said stiffly, his anger boiling inside of him till he nearly trembled with it. He found himself angry at Ahai, of all people, for not being here when he needed him. Where was his twin, and why was he facing an angry goddess on his own?
"My name is Matsailema, Harpy. Have you misplaced your precious little offspring somewhere? Sounds like bad mothering, to me." It wasn't a clever idea, to taunt her, but the anger made his tongue sharp.

Chamchela wasn't phased by the frosty glare, simply rolling it right off her shoulders. His insults earned a hearty laugh. She could honestly say she'd not heard "harpy" yet before, but she was starting to get irritated, for certain, at the arrogance he called himself "advising" her with.
She didn't play the game well when it came to patience, and he was quickly wearing on hers even if she refused to show it.
"My offspring are certainly none of your business." She narrowed her eyes slightly, still fighting against her nature not to wear her anger on her "sleeve", though she couldn't help growling under her breath on a mutter. "Or at least they better be if Ahai knows what's good for him."

The blue male shook his head, though he never took his green eyes off the female.
"Its my business when you show up to harass me, asking where your offspring are and why I'm not watching them. It's also my business when it involves Ahai, who is, which you probably were too dense to notice, my twin brother." Matsai growled as he shifted backwards stealthily, feeling the volatile anger rolling off the goddess. Touching anyone was a pain for him... touching her could knock him out for days, and with his twin too buisy with his little 'family' to care, he'd be in danger till he woke.
Still, it was hard not to provoke her, not to take out his pain and rage on what was in front of him, rather than putting the blame on what was not. How could this... female have gotten close enough to his brother to have cubs by him? What had things come to, that this could have been hidden from him? It went against everything he knew, everything he'd trusted as unshakeable. He felt betrayed, abandoned, and just plain angry with it.
"Obviously your spawn isn't here, so why don't you just... fly away?" He growled, holding back a sneer to a twitch of his maw. "One less goddess in the vicinity would be a definite improvement on the surroundings."

"Oh yes, thank you for pointing out the obvious, morron. Clearly it's none of your damn business, or I'd have met you before now, though frankly I'm ******** glad to have been spared this headache for as long as I have."
She noticed him putting distance between them, however stealthily, as she was glaring at him rather intensely by this point, so she took a step to follow him, feeling at tension band growing almost infuriatingly tight.
"Keep pushing me, chump, and you'll be ground meat to be wasted before the day is through." She growled menacingly, not looking ready to back down anytime soon.

A shudder when through the male's body as he flirted with death, too heartsick to care.
"No, I don't think its because I'm not important. Rather, I think its the other way around." He hissed, his tail lashing behind him. "I think he was so... embarrassed by you and those freak children that he couldn't bear to be seen with you. He didn't want me to know about his little mistake."
The blue lion spat the words as he drew himself up, gathering together the height and breadth he'd gotten from his father, even if he wasn't as filled out as his brother was. He'd never been one to push his body and it showed in his lean frame, but the frame work carried an exact replica of his brothers.
"Leave, witch. Go back to whatever hole it is you call home."

Her self control snapped. Elly was on him in a flash, powering down with a sharp crack of her paw to box him in the head, hopefully hard enough to send him sprawling. She settled for towering over him after, though, snarling down.
"Don't mistake me for that b***h of a mother of yours. Insult my children again and it will be the last time you're able to use your voice, you pathetic piece of s**t!!!"
She might favor her daughter in training hopes of proving females more capable than males, but that didn't mean she cared for her sons any less. No matter what, they were all three her-- well, their --soon to be warriors, and she wouldn't tolerate anyone badmouthing them. Her pride in them was, perhaps, the only thing on the face of the planet that could compete with the size of the pride in herself.

The cry that broke from Matsai when her paw connected with his head was a mangled sound, half screech of intense pain and half roar of fiery rage. He fell, crashing to the ground full length, but he was up in an instant, leaping at her in probably the most foolish act he had ever taken. It was a mark of the grueling practice he'd been subjecting himself to that the flood of visions didn't kick in right away, giving him a second of freedom from the torrent.
His body crashed into hers with his full weight, his forepaws wrapping around her chest as black claws flashed out and his fangs snapped at her neck. The rage he felt couldn't be described. This is why he kept himself in such firm control, why he surrounded himself in a wall of ice... when the emotions got control of him, they raged beyond anything someone else could really understand. He'd always felt things to their extremes, but he rarely let them break free like this.
His growl was vicious and he struggled to grip her tightly, even as pictures started to flash before his eyes, sounds and smells and emotions slowly starting to break free of his control. It was a shame he hadn't learned to fully control his abilities yet... her next strike would put him down for good, if he didn't collapse first.
Ahai and Elly... two sons and a daughter that shone like stars, brown as the earth... Other lions and creatures Matsai didn't know, Elle's family together at a younger age... The three cubs grown and fierce, strong with the combined blood of father and mother... So many visions, so many things he didn't know or understand crushing him under their weight. Her past, present and future, stretching to near infinity, and his mind a leaf floating in the flood of visions.

It would have been foolish not to anticipate a counter attack at all, but the ferocity and intensity of it took her for just a brief surprise. They collided as he intended, but well trained under Mrost's teachings she anticipated him going for the fatal blow to her neck where she was only partially protected at the back with her mohawk. She bellowed with angry pain at the bite of his claws in her hide, but brought an arm up just in the nick of time to block his jaws path to her throat, swinging in a harsh backhand motion. His fangs would graze that limb instead, drawing blood, but it was hardly a scratch as far as she was concerned.
Unaware that he had fallen victim to his own powers she grabbed a mouthful of his mane to keep him from trying that again, and by sheer brute strength lifted the two of them off the ground in brief flight and dove forward to slam him against the earth in an effort to pin him again.
She was by no means a little thing, herself. Having taken size from her grandfather, and with her own constant training (Be it with Mrost, her grandparents, or on her own.) she could certainly hold her own. She towered over most rogues, over most pride lions for that matter, fit to compete with the likes of Firekin in terms of size, and she never hesitated to prove it.
But this was Ahai's twin brother, and as much as they bickered, as hateful as their relationship could be at times, she couldn't bring herself to do that to him, and it made her FURIOUS.
"You cocky little son of a b***h!" She boxed his head again as she raged, saliva flying from her jaws. "You're lucky I don't rip you to shreds!"
It would have been too easy to kill him, just one tornado, or one well placed strike when he became disoriented, but something was stopping her, and she stepped back off of him quivering with anger but not making another move. Something didn't seem right.
"... What's wrong with you?!"

The blue male was nearly unconscious by the time she grabbed his mane and lifted him clear off the ground, their combined weight crashing down on him. He choked as the wind was knocked out of him, a wheeze all he could manage as she beat him. He flailed his limbs instinctively in defense, even as his eyes stared sightlessly and his mind struggled to stand up under the flood of his visions.
He was lost to the world, completely unaware of what was going on around him since all he saw was Elly's past and future, flicker on flicker of images and sounds. It was confusing, they flashed by so fast, so even if he'd wanted to, he wouldn't have been able to remember any of it. Maybe some of it absorbed into his brain, but on the whole, it was too bruised and battered for that, pounded like a rock under a waterfall.
Matsai wouldn't remember what happened while he was under and couldn't currently feel the marks she traced on his brilliant blue fur. When she stopped beating him, he still twitched and thrashed, a strangled moan sliding from his throat as he writhed under his visions.

This time Elly knew something was definitely wrong. She'd fought plenty of lions before and they never reacted like that, let alone went down so easily after one, two, three, or technically four (if one included the bodyslam) hits. She cursed her rotten luck that she'd get the one that was apparently retarded somehow! DAMN it! Just a little freaked out and unsure what to do she turned, looking for anyone that might be able to help. Maybe she should see if she could find Ahai himself. He was going to be pissed, probably, but he'd be MORE pissed if she just left this idiot twin of his there to die. ******** was only lucky for her that help was actually already on the way.

-He'd been doing nothing really, slowly lapping water at a murky pool, wasting the afternoon until he ran into one of the five figures that ate up his time these days. As beads of water dripped from his tongue and maw, the large beast reeled suddenly, catching himself before he fell forward.
It'd be a long while since he'd had a vision, and one this strong, it was probably a first. He heard a cry, he saw the pain on the edges of Matsai's face, he saw his eyes, and expression he hadn't seen in so ********!" -The single syllable broke the trance his body held him in, body wheeling around before he could think to stop it, or question it's path. Claws and paw dug up the earth in a frenzy as he bolted across the savannah. This was his fault. It was all HIS fault.
He didn't know what kind of trouble his twin had gotten himself into, but nonetheless if he'd just BEEN THERE it wouldn't have happened. He was supposed to be his brother's strength, just as Matsai was his mind and rock of logic. Ahai seethed with anger and worry, his body burning from the distance take so quickly, his breath frantic. He had enough of it however to let loose when his emerald eyes settled on the scene before him.
A roar ripped through the air, hair bristling upwards, as muscles tensed. He saw Elly. He saw Matsai. Gods damn him and her if he was too late. His mind didn't react, didn't try to shift through the information. Rage radiated from his body like fire as he stalked dangerously forward.-
