Watching the episodes I distinctly remember one thing from Doctor Who - Bad Wolf. Those two words come out all over the place, but I've never understood. What exactly is Bad Wolf?

It's Rose's thing: she is the Bad Wolf. In Season 1, it leads her back to the space station to save the Doctor's life. She then sets it all up with her uber-powers. Later on in S4, I seem to remember it showing a connection between the two universes. Darn it, I need to go watch that finale again... can't remember the exact significance.

I think the doctor also said that Bad Wolf meant the end of the universe. It was the finale episodes where Rose came back that he said that when Donna asked what it meant.

SnowWtch I think the doctor also said that Bad Wolf meant the end of the universe. It was the finale episodes where Rose came back that he said that when Donna asked what it meant. He said that because he thought the two universes were colliding again, and that would result in both of them being destroyed. Now to answer the question. "Bad Wolf" was the name of the television company that was around in the S1 finale, but the words had been seen before by the Doctor and Rose, like "Bad Wolf One descending" etc. This meant that when Rose was stranded on Earth, she realised that it was a message/link or something, so she managed to get back to the doctor by looking on to the heart of the TARDIS and taking in the Time Vortex, which gave her super-powers. She then turned all the Daleks into dust and took the words "Bad Wolf" and spread them through time and space, so that she could get get the massage in the past to get back to the future, to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future to send the message to the past to get to the future and so on

So...Rose is Bad Wolf because she sucked in the heart of the TARDIS, and that gave her the power of going in between universes in the s4 finale. and because she could go in between them the barrier between the universes was down so they would collide and be destroyed. am i on the right track? or is the heart of the TARDIS bad wolf? but why's the doctor so scared when he sees the words bad wolf all over the place in turn left? what does that mean?

No, the Time Vortex was sucked out of her again by the doctor. She could travel between universes in s4 because of all the Torchwood technology she had. IDK about s4, but I think it was just meant to be a cliffhanger. _____________________________________________________ >>> <<<

Maybe he was scared when he saw it because he related it with the Daleks?
I think when Rose was all super-powered before the Doctor saved her, she did all the Bad Wolf stuff that happened in S4 too because she knew all that was going to happen. After the Doctor saved her, she couldn't remember what had happened; described it as "singing".

Oh, ok. So did all her Bad Wolf stuff happen in series 1 or 2? Because if it did I don't remember those seasons very well. Which one was it? I'll have to get the DVDs and watch them again.

I have just sucked my sister into DW fandom against her will mrgreen , and she was watching "Turn Left" on the BBC USA channel, and when it was over, she called me to ask, "So--next week will they explain WTF "bad wolf" means? Aside from giving the Doctor a reason to look like a chicken for five minutes." rofl rofl rofl

The reason he's scared when he sees it again is because when Rose absorbed the time vortex she absorbed all of space and time. At the moment that meant simply putting badwolf everywhere to bring her back and destroy the Dalek emperor but she spread the words through all of space and time because she knew (using her uber spacetime powers) that danger would come up again. Rose could see all the past and future and was therefor able to foresee the catastrophe that would be brought on by Davros.
