 Alright. <3
Halloween is coming up. The one day of the year when those nutty cosplayers arent frowned apon, and scorned. Also, a day inwhich you could dress like Alice from Alice in wonderland, and no one would question you, ie. your mother.
So I was wondering, is anyone wearing anything particularly Lolita this Halloween, since it is the one day you can dress like a loon and no one will annoy you about it? Anyone being blood-denched j-rock-style doctors, or dead dolls?
Im going all out, and making an Alice in Wonderland dress, covered in lace and all that jazz. My Mother isnt being so accepting with Lolita it seems, so this is one day when I can dress in all Lolita, and also have a dress for other days when its all done with. I will make it a little 'halloween-y' though, by whitening my skin, darkening my eyes, and perhaps adding a dash of blood and a swoop of stiches here and there.
 [^ A picture of a girl as Alice from DisneyWorld in Paris. Im trying to copy this, but with a huge crinoline, and more lace and fun stuff. Any suggestions on what to add?]

I'm just going as Lolita (as in from the book). I'm making a top and dress in the amaloli style, as it seems very similar to the dresses purchased for Lo by Humbert in the book. 3nodding It's one of my favorite books, and it will make a lovely and unique costume! I can't wait to make it. whee

I'm too old for halloween. >_<
I'll probably be staying home and passing out/eating candy. XD
My mom actually accepts the whole lolita look. She says it reminds her of when i was a kid and used to wear those frilly dresses xD
Then again my mom is pretty cool, she knows the dresses arent some stupid fetish thing. rolleyes thats how you know your parents are crazy over protective, when they cant understand that certain clothing doesnt make you a fetish freak.

Ooh! I'm going to be a lolita bunny-girl! I'm making a hat, featured on genkigang.com [ I can't afford 35$ hats! ] with elbow length black bunny ears on it. Then I'm making a white tutu and a black corset top to wear over my black peasant shirt. My hair which I recently dyed back to red will be tied all in ribbons,
 and I plan to wear my plateau mary-janes and my red and black striped stockings. I'm also carrying around my pitchfork with my little pink bear tied to it in a pretty ribbon. It shall be fun! heart

I love Metamorphose, so I hope you'll post pictures of your dress when it's finished! I'm sure it'll be amazingly adorable! heart

Hee, I'm going as the Lolita White Rabbit. Well, it's more like Kodona, with white capris, white corset, white jacket, black and white striped stockings, bunny ears, white and black checkered tie, and a little ruffled black and white bustle skirt .. thing in the back. ^^ *excited*
My mom actually doesn't mind me dressing Lolita, even if she does think it's a little odd. You see, she's never heard of the Lolita porn industry.. and I have no intention of telling her.. >.>;
She prefers the Lolita style to the the stereotypical Goth/Punk style. 3nodding

I love the stuff Charlotte Russe sells! I love their bustiers, corsets, and skirts. It can usually always be used in a very lolita-esque way. Except for their beige stuff...I've looked at their beige stuff, but it just ends up looking sculler maid lolita. And I don't like that. D:
