Zoya padded along silently her black pelt blending in with the darkness around her easy. The moon was full tonight and it was the only source of light that flitted down through the trees. It quite tonight and she enjoyed the feel of the slight breeze in her fur. A good question would be why was she out here and even better question would be why she was out here alone. Yet none asked it for as far as she knew there were none around to ask the silly questions. She was in a rather chipper mood this night though one would not be able to tell just by looking at her. She kept her features carefully schooled into the perfect mask of impassiveness. She slipped through the woods unnoticed except for the few times the moon caught her fur just right and shined off of the hands holding an apple on her side. She was the perfect creature of the night, the perfect predator.

Blain had entered the forest uncertain at first. He was no longer camouflaged like he was back in the yellow sands of the west. But now he had been here a few days, and even though he still stood out in the light, keeping to the shadows was no problem to hide his yellow pelt. The moonlight that filtered through the trees cast a green hue to him, blending him with the bushes and shrubs. His jaw tightened around the strap a wooden cross hung from. Something was close by. His yes moved, scanning the area for any movements.

Zoya could smell him well before she saw him. She was uncertain of who he was it was a new smell to her not one she knew. She continued walking along silently her eyes searching for any movements. Her whole body was on alert as she walked but even this slight change in her movements caused no noise. She made sure everything about her was welcoming trying her best not to seem a threat. She did not want to battle this one, his smell tingled in her nose and set her whole body on fire with fear. He was not from here he was from a place far away and the smell of sand and open plains still wafted from his coat. Yet as hard as she tried she could not place where he was. This annoyed her slightly but she kept her expression blank like she had taught herself ages ago.

Faintly, Blain caught a flash of red and peach against the blackness of the forest. It was very faint and silent, and he was almost unsure what he had seen, but a helix was close. He could smell her over the damp cold forest floor. "Lovely night for a stroll." He said, still not moving.

Zoya stopped and looked in the direction of the voice and soon she could make out the golden outline of another. Even in the shadows his fur stood out though one would not notice unless they were looking for said fur. "It is a rather lovely night. The moon is full and the breeze promises a fresh new smell at every turn. I am amazed to find someone out here who is not of this land." She stated in a voice lost to emotion. She stepped into a patch of moonlight allowing herself to be seen. The light glistened off of the hands and apple on her side. Her yellow eyes held little more then a slight trace of fear but other then that she was emotionless nothing could be seen across her dark features.

"I see." His tone was flat as he watched her move. Blain knew that he would win if she chose to fight him, but she made no threatening moves, so the young bate relaxed just a little. "I have come from the west." He said. "Simply seeking new things. This land is the gateway to all others. It would only be natural for travelers to come this way."

She nodded her head in understanding of his point. "I concede to that but its unusual to find someone out stalking the night as I do. Still you are not from here you do not know the lay out well it is dangerous for those that would wander the night with out knowledge of the creatures that hide in it. " She stated facts nothing more. "What if I had been an alpha with a bad attitude towards others, instead of a calm gamma?" Her voice held the smallest amount of amusement. The thought of her as a alpha with a bad attitude was amusing in its self but the thought of her as a alpha fighting this helix with his huge tail was simply to much and she had to laugh. It was a quiet laugh hardly anything at all really, but it in fact was a laugh something she had not done in quite sometime but then again she had not thought of something so amusing in a long time either.
