Tohru walked into the store and grabbed two baskets to but her groceries in. She took out her list and started filling the baskets up. She had gotten behind on her schedule so she hadn't been to the store lately. She was happy because she had picked out the best steak out of the selection for dinner tonight. Eventually both baskets were completely full. Tohru turned to Midori, "Do you see anything that you would like. You can look around and pick something out. I'll pay for it, it would be my present to you for thanking you for having you for dinner. I think I'm going to go look at the books before we go." Tohru smiled.

Midori drooled at the meat section and snapped out of her trance when Tohru asked her and she turned around to face her "No thanks, meat is all that I need, I don't like sweets much because it makes me sick whenever I eat them, plus you've given me more than I could afford. You're a really good friend Tohru, you've given me too much" Midori felt warmer in her cold heart. She's been isolated from people for years and brushed off anyone who dared to come near her, but for some reason, Midori never snapped at Tohru. "Maybe because of the good atmosphere" Midori whispered to herself, smiling.

"Are you sure? Ok then. Then come with me and help me pick out something for Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure!" Tohru smiled. She walked over to the book section and found a nice book on tips to a healthy and yummy garden and a cool book on all the different styles of Japanese/ Chinese fighting (Karate, Tie Kwan do, etc.) "What do you think Shigure would like?"

Midori chuckled at the word Shigure "I haven't met that pervert for a long time. I wonder how is he? Since he's a novelist, he might be pretty picky about finding a good book for him to write or you give him adult magazines. Which will never happen as long as Yuki and Kyou are around" Midori laughed even harder when the last time she visited. Shigure read some magazines, Yuki and Kyou beat the heck out of him. Midori sighed "Good times, good times."

Tohru laughed along with Midori. Then she spotted a small, leather notebook that had 'Journal' inscribed on the top. "Oh, this is nice! He can write in it for his job, ideas, or just when he needs a break from his novel. Do you think he would like it?"

Midori gazed at the journal for a moment with a disgusted look on her face while she was thinking "Shigure would use that journal as a photo album so he could organize pictures of high school girls, that pervert. He never finishes his novels anyway. He's such a lazy bum" Midori said as if she was with him her entire life.

Tohru listened to what Midori said, then looked at the journal, and then put it back on the shelf. "Ya I guess you're right. I'll get his something next time if I think of anything else. So, are you ready to check out? I can't wait for you to see my mother!" Tohru smiled. She walked to the self check out lane, scanned her groceries, put them in the plastic bags, and paid. She turned towards Midori, "C'mon, I can't wait!" Tohru nearly bounced with excitement. She was happy her mother has gotten to know so many of her friends.

Midori blinked, 'I thought her mother was dead' she thought sadly. Midori carried most of the grocery bags and almost drooled at the sight of the meat. "I can't wait to see your mother and steak" she said happily.

Tohru giggled "Ya, me too. It almost looks good enough to eat right now. Alright follow me!" she smiled. Tohru walked out of the store, took a left and then walked down two blocks and then another left and made it to the Cemetery entrance. "Here we are!" Tohru walked up the stairs. "C'mon! Don't be scared, She'll like you, I'm positive!"

Midori was a little gloomy at the sight of the cemetry 'Tohru's mom is dead, poor girl' she thought as she browse through each tombstone. Then she glanced at Tohru with an even sadder face "You sure are optomistic. Huh, Torhu?"
