 Shortly after their reintroduction Nevara lead Taigi to where she knew her adopted uncle would be found. Sometimes he found with his mate and others he wasn't. When she had first met Joseph he had taken her under his wing and raised her as a niece, playing the over-protective uncle. And she loved him for that. She owed him alot for his comfort and support and later on in life and she hoped that he'd be there for her for years to come and if he happened to need the same in return, she'd be there no questions asked. But for now she wanted to explore the world, outside of the boundaries of the forest and away from everything knew and familiar.
Which was why she was here now. To say her goodbyes for now. She'd be back someday, hopefully not too long down the road.
It was chilly from a night of snowfall and the wind whipped through the trees harshly. It was early in the morning since they had waited till morning to travel to her uncle's place and the sun was just rising over the hills and beginning to shine through the tree tops. The snow on the ground glisened and sparkled from the light, it was lovely but sometimes hurt her eyes if she starred to long at it. The freshly fallen snow crunched under her hooves and her breathing came out as short puffs as she trudged through the few inches of thick white fluff.

 Many thoughts weaved through Taigi's mind. He was surprised, however, at how many of said thoughts were untainted with sorrowful emotions. Every inch of him was mellow in ecstasy, a soft smile stuck to his face, twitching up a bit every time he looked to see the hazy blue mare walking beside him. But for a reason unknown to him, he would blush and look away, once again focusing his vision on the trail before them. This moment seemed sacred, like a procession, and the blanket of quiet aside from the crunching snow where they stepped emphasized that fact.
For once, he wasn't letting his mind choose the way to go. This time it was certain that he and Nevara were heading to say the last few good-bys before leaving to travel together. The length of their travels would be uncertain, and Taigi knew that he was stealing Nevara away from her homeland, which in fact was his as well, and that made this bearable. Slowly walking towards an uncertain - to him - character did well to tense him. The quiet and lack of conversation did a fine job as well, but he did owe her this much. He would bear anything to have her by his side in his travels. And as he realized that fact, he began to ponder upon it, this keeping him busy for the remainder of the way.

Jo as usual was pretty much occupied on the new turn of his life. He liked to ponder on things they made it feel like he actually was taking great care into where his life was heading. He was doing so. Every step that he had been through in the last few weeks and months he thought had been possitive and more so he felt ontop of the world. A small blush came to his face as he thought back to his mate who was at her owners Teepee at this time. To be honnest he was about to set off back to his own before his ears picked up a nearby sound. What was that?
A small smile came onto the stalions lips as he saw someone familiar coming his way. It was his adoptive daughter in a way. He smiled and slid along the ground to confront her. But she was not alone. Who was he? he wondered. He was very overprotective of his little girl he had seen her grow up and in a way felt like he was her father even though he was not.
"Hello M'dear and how are you today I see you brought company."
He smiled sending a pleasent smile their ways not letting his face give away his thoughts after all he was Nerva's friend so that made this new dark male a friend of his right?

Her gaze lifted to meet as Jo's image came into sight, a small grin crossing her lips at the sight of him. It had been too long since she had seen him and in a way regretted that she had let them drifted further apart.
Nevara cranked her neck back to look at Taigi, who also looked deep in thought. What was on his mind? Was the first thing she thought and perhaps a little stressed. She would have given up her bandanna at that moment to know the answer. She slowed her movements to match her speed with his as they approached her Uncle. After all it would probably look better if they were walking along side eachother. She looked over and gave Tai a gentle smile. "It'll be fine. I'm sure you'll both get along great." She said, trying her best to reassure him.
The sound of his voice brought back old memories as her mind swam with images from the past. Of him taking care of her, guiding her, and comforting her when she couldn't bare to be around her father. She gently nuzzled his neck before stepping back with Taigi. Her eyes had grown slightly wet with the emotions she felt but she knew it was time to go out on her own. But I wont be alone.. She smiled inwardly at the thought. It was true, she wouldn't be alone.
"It's so good to see you Uncle Jo." She glanced over at Tai, then back to Jo. "This is my good friend Taigi. I actually came here cause... ve're going traveling together."

His first reaction to seeing a grown, princely looking stallion was to pace a length a bit ahead of Nevara, seeing her straggle as a movement of caution. And also to protect her if this was not the one she were to say good-by to. But this stallion was smiling, and his tensed position beside Nev along with his expression both eased and he lagged back so as to let Nevara catch up.
Nevara spoke of it being fine and apparently they'd get along fine. Was there a reason they wouldn't? Did he have something to worry about? Yet when the mare saw the other stallion, her own expression brightened considerably. And as she reached him and nuzzled Jo's neck, Taigi felt a sudden pang of jealousy, something he wasn't expecting. Tai shrugged it off as the friendly protectiveness he felt earlier and let a smile slip onto his lips, as slight and tight of a smile as it was.
When his traveling companion, however, called to this stallion as 'uncle', his smile turned true and tinged with smugness. Of course, this wasn't a conscious action, but this relationship between his best friend and the blond male did well in settling Taigi's nerves. He bowed his head when gestured to, and a polite "how do you do?" left his lips.

Jo watched as they both greeted him, he nuzzled Nerva back as she was by him, she had been their for a long time and he was still not used to seeing her all fully grown and everything to him she was still the little girl that he had found so many years ago crying under the tree.
"Great thank you." he smiled in reaction to Tigi he had heard her talk about a friend so many times and now seeing him face to face he did not know what to make off of him. He saw Nerva as a daughter more then a niece and as overprotective Jo was he would be weary of any stalion that came anywhere near her. But for now he would hold his feelings back after all even though he felt like it he was of no relation to Nerva and did not have any say in who she was with. He would just help her if she was ever harmed.
His face sank slightly as she mentioned that she was leaving with this guy. He tilted his head slightly and bowed his head. "In that case let luck be with you." he smiled if she was looking for his blessing she had already got it but he wondered. "what are you looking for?"

Nevara's heart sank slightly at the look on her dear uncle's face. She hated the thought of leaving the ones she cared about but, she also needed to start an adventure of her own and live her life to it's fullest. And although he wasn't related to her by blood, he was still as much apart of her family as her own brother was. Over the time with him she had learn something, the ones cloest to us don't have to be blood to be important in someones life and are sometimes more helpful than the ones that are.
"I'll be back of course when I'm done. But it also means I get to spend time vith Tai!" she turned towards him and gave him a warm smile, making sure he knew she hadn't forgotten he was there.
Raising a curious brow at his last question she thought of a suitable answer, though she knew it already. There was something inside her that needed more to life than to just stay in a one place that never changed except with the seasons. "It's something I just need to do, you know? My heart calls out for something more meaningful and it seems I cannot find it here." she smiled faintly. "And you never know, I might run into Maa on the vay."

Taigi shuffled his hooves nervously, leaving a pattern of cloven hoofprints in the ground. He felt like his foal-self standing before Jo, as if he were still that youngling, much too curious for his own good, peeking around a concealing tree trunk at an interesting, pale blue filly. He spaced out, a mellow smile slipping onto his face with the memories, and his eyes gaining a distant glimmer. He refocused to find Nevara's bright, beautiful eyes, in their hue of the pales blues, gazing at him, and he straightened up attentively only to find her conversing with the older stallion once more.
He couldn't help but look at her fondly as a successful acolyte to his traveler's teachings. But she was more than a mere student, and this brightened his mood even more. Perhaps so much, that he wouldn't mind taking part in their conversation now.
"Er, Jo, was it?" Taigi tensed, his figure straightening to reveal his exceptional height, maybe to show Jo how strong he was. How able he was to protect Nevara. His head bowed once more, "I swear to you that I will protect Nevara with my life. No concern of mine is greater than her well-being on our travels."
