From the shop The Trapped One Serenity: *And that was all it took to take the fear from the normally rather brave one.* Oh thank you. *She said and clinged to the horse as if she was her own mother.* they told me the red things eat you. *She was so trusting of things, she'd been told so many things since she came from the basket.. things with wings were part angel, they ate clouds, and as of yet no one had really told her the truth of things. She took them at face value too, after all she was a young one, very trusting, and they seemed to know what they were talking about. She didn't have a mother to teach her so all she could do is learn the hard way.*  " You are very welcome." Smiles she nuzzles the young foal clinging to her, she was wondering where her own mother was. She knew that no mother would like a foal wonder off, as she was also a mother of three, that were now adults and had their own lifes. " who told you that?" She nuzzles her again. " Are you hunery I could show you where to get something to eat, and drink if you like?" She watches her closely, Hanna loved foals and enjoyed helping them, her own girl wanted nothing to do with her. That left a big hole in Hanna's heart, her boys loved to be around her and loved her very much, she always wished that she could have a good relationship with her girl, but she knew that would never happern now.

Serenity: *Ears flickered a bit at the question* I forget, but he had a funny face. *She said with a firm nod.* He said the things with wings that were red are red because they eat us. *She nodded firmly again, her right ear giving a flick as she backed up and sat down, like a dog would, and odd sight to see for any soquili to do such.* A small one told me that all things with wings were part angel and that angels eat clouds *She smiled* I don't know what an angel is, but I plan on catching one!
*She obviously felt much better now. Then the mention of food made her tummy rumble.* I had an apple *She said with a bright grin, slightly sheepish, she had run off a bit earlier than normal left in the field by Tewa who needed to do her chores. It was one of the few times she'd been out of the mountains and around others. Her home, Tewa's home was high up in the mountains away from most others so she really cherished those times when she could come down and play.*

Hanna watches her" I see, that is a intresting way to look at it, but they can't eat us, they sometimes take bites out of us, but that rarely happerns, they are red because the great sprit created them so we can see them easyer, they can hide easyer." She watches her sit down and smiles at the action, she had never seen that before but the young did intesting things. She listened to her tell about angels " that might be true, I don't many things with wings, and I have only met one soquili with them, I never asked him about them."
Hanna looks at her tubby and smiles at her " I think your tubby wants more, I think." She watches the foal closely and smiles she already liked to be with this youngling, maybe she had a two-legger like Hanna did. She was rised by her two-legger and hoped that this youngling had one too. " Come I will show you where the stewberries grow, they are really good.

Serenity: *The Great spirit huh, she'd have to catch one of those too for certain, but what do they look like? She tried to imagine something coloring something else, she'd seen Tewa paint before, maybe that's how it was done.* That's a really small paint brush. *She said more to herself than her new friend as she thought about how small one had to be to paint something that small with a paintbrush her eyes widened.*
*When the topic turned to food she chuckled as her tummy was called a tubby* What's a strawberry *She said excited now getting back up on all fours.* it's it big? Tewa always gets the apples for me from the tree by her home I can't reach it yet, but she always has one for me in the morning waiting. I like apples, is it like an apple? *She was rambling, but she didn't know she was just excited. Those dual colored hues got wider as she thought about it, she was by all accounts new to the world still, her two toned tail gave a flick of happiness.*

Hanna looks at her " well the great spirit is many things, he can be another soquili, it is that he looks like nature it's self. He can also take the form of a two-legger, or any other animal he wants to be to talk to us, I beleive it would be hard for you to catch him, but you can give it a try." she smiles wide " the Tewa have a idea about him, told from stories that happerned long ago."
" it is smaller then a apple, iy is kind of like a apple, it is red with small black dots, it tastes sweet and a little sour, they also have a green top and grow on vines, it is soft to the touch and you can eat many of them at once, if you eat to many you get a tubby ache, so you have to be careful." she smiles again " shall we get going now?"

Serenity: *She nodded listening to what was being told to her of this small wonder called strawberries, she knew from experience with apples that too many of them could cause tummy aches but she wondered how something smaller than an apple could do that too.*
Yes, please! *She said eagerly as she began to follow Hanna, letting her lead the way, forgetting for this moment that she'd been told to stay in the little area about here for grazing. Hopefully it wasn't too far about, but she wasn't thinking such things, no she was excited. She'd met someone new who wanted to actually show her something new, that she could eat. Nothing bad could come of that, right?!*

"ok they are right down this path here." Hanna starts down the path, she turns her head to watch, smiling as she does so, she know that they weren't to far from them, smelling the air they could start to smell something sweet in the air.
Turning her head towards Serenity she smiles " can you smell that, that is them, we are very close." turning back she smiles as they see little red things under one of the trees " there they are." she heads towards them and then turns her head towards Serenty to see how the youngling would reacted to the sight of something so new.

Serenity: *Happily she trotted after the mare, not thinking anything of it, excited to see the wonder of something sweet and red like an apple but much smaller. those piercing dual eyes flickered to and fro her ears gave a flick to the sounds around, yes she was happy. And then the sweet scent she'd never caught before met her nose.
Nostrils flared as she took it in and then those eyes flicked from her new friend to the surprise before her.* So small!! *She said, as she scrunched her eyes a bit having expected something much bigger and much higher, after all apples grow in trees, but these small apples, called strawberries, they grew in a really tiny bush along the ground around this tree.* We don't have these at home. *Which was rather normal for one living in a mountain, the climate wasn't proper for them, nor was the soil, the only reason they had the apple tree was because it had been planted by Tewa's parents before they had had children of their own.*
*She leaned in real close and gave another sniff, yep that's what she had been smelling.. with a perplexed look she lifted her gaze up at Hanna* You sure that's them? *She couldn't believe it.*

She nods, "really, I thought once that they could grow anywhere." She smiles watching her closely. It was always intresting to watch a youngling discover new things it always warmed her heart to teach younglings.
" yes, would you like to taste one or a couple you may go first." Hanna smiles and watches her as she moves closer and to the side of the tree being careful not to step on them as she moves, she closes her eyes remembering the first time she saw them and tasted them, she wanted to ask if Serenity had a animal friend like hanna did growing up, she also wondered where Arlin was, she didn't want that fox to scary Serenity, she knew that he loved to play tricks on her when she was around stewberries. " Serenity, there is a fox that comes around these stewberries he won't hurt you, but he likes to play tricks and stick to the brushes around here, you don't need to be afaid of him he is quite nice."

Serenity: *An ear flicked a bit at the question and she nodded and bowed her head towards the bush.. Which to eat first? she saw some green ones, but most were red as had been described for her. She pondered a moment remembering the few times she'd eaten a green apple which wasn't ready to be eaten as it hadn't gotten it's color yet, she recalled the slight belly ache she had as a result and decided that if these were like apples she'd go for the red one first and hope she was right.
Just as she was about to take a bite Hanna spoke again, distracted she lifted her head and looked at Hanna as she talked something about a fox, she wasn't sure what a fox was, they didn't tend to live in the mountains around her place, and she'd yet to encounter the things she heard Tewa call wolves one night when they were howling and she had gotten scared by the noise, so to her the word fox meant absolutely nothing. However, she did understand play, and tricks and nice and so she nodded with a smile, and then looked left and right to see if she could see this fox. She wondered how small or big this thing called fox was. But seeing nothing as she looked she kinna felt a bit disappointed but didn't say it... Though her face was a very expressionate face, and as such very readable.
Bowing her head again she reached forward to try that really big red strawberry she'd been eying a moment before the topic of fox had been brought up. Clutching her teeth to it, expecting it to be like an apple hard on the outside she smushed the poor fruit in her attempt to grasp it, this of course got strawberry smeared all over her upper lip. Blinking at this she backed up, a bit startled, as this wasn't what she expected.
Then the taste hit her, it was very very tangy, she'd never tasted tangy before, most red apples weren't tangy. She wasn't sure if she liked it. She smacked her lips together at the taste testing it out and then bowing down she grasped at another strawberry this time much more carefully, and then pulling this one into her mouth she began to chew. The tangy taste caused her mouth to water and her cheeks to curl up in a smile. Oh yes, she liked that, she smiled brightly as the delighted sound came from her in a soft* mmmmm!

* Seeing her face, understanding what that like was* " Foxes are smaller then us, they reach the highth of our knees if we are lucky, the like to sneak around that is why you haven seen them. They have big pointed ears, and fangs, but they handly never bite us, they eat birds and smaller animals, I grew up with my fox., if that helps."
She watches her clutch the stewberrie and smirks as it smushs agaist her lip. Hanna smirked because that happerned to her at first too. She stops and watches her again* " That happerned to me the first time I tryed to eat one too, it is quite normal."
She watches her smile and smiles back at her, she could tell that Serenity like it from the sound she made, coming closer, Hanna leans her head down to get her own stewberrie as she does she feels and hears something fall out of tree above them, she jumps as it hits her squre in the middle of the back then beings her head up to take a look as she trys to keep Serenity claim, looking to her back she sees a rolled up gray and gold tiped tail coving a face with long pointy ears. she then looks at Serenty. " would you like to meet Arlin, he is the thing that fell out of the tree and on to my back."

Serenity: *She envisioned in her mind this thing called foxes as it was explained to her, though in her mind the whole image seemed to warp a bit. Fangs were much longer, ears much more pointer and so forth. She looked down to her knees and tried really hard to see something that would be that small and have such odd traits. It sounded both mythical and fascinating to her, not unlike hearing a fairytale only she was very open minded to such things and often believed all of what she was told.
When Hanna had finished describing this thing called a fox to her she bowed her head again to grasp yet another strawberry when low and behold Hanna's startled movement caught her off gaurd and she stepped back, startled herself as she saw this strange thing land upon her friends back. Now instinct told her things that land upon the back were there to eat you, but seeing Hanna's calming reaction to the critter upon her back made her heart slow it's momentarily quickened rate and she eyed the creature that was introduced to her as Arlin.*
He's bigger than a squirrel. *She said in a moment of thought out loud, figuring the only thing besides birds that tended to be in trees were squirrels. Leaning forward, she tentatively gave a puff and then a sniff at the fox, not once thinking he was a fox, having forgotten in the moment that Hanna had mentioned her friend Arlin was a fox, not connecting the two yet.*

* Hanna nods agreeing with her and smiles as she watches Serenity and Arlin* " Yes he is, his fur is also much softer then a squirrel." Hanna gos to her knees infront of Serenity so the youngling could get a better look and smell of him.
*Arlin blinks and opens his eyes slowly, he rises his tail off his face and lefts his head to stares at Serenity, he then yawns * " Hello youngling, I'm Arlin pleased to meet you." * He bows his head and smiles at her trying not to scare her, or make her feel relaxed around him which is what he wanted. He then looks at Hanna out of the counter of his eyes.
* Hanna smiles and watches Serenity and Arlin* " see he is so friendly." snoots closer to her*

Serenity: *She leaned in to take another sniff at the one called Arlin when Neko lowered down, causing her nose to bump into the foxes belly. She blushed a bit, startled she backed up and shook off the smell of the fox, it was a very musky wild smell, and seemed to hold a lot of the strawberry scent to it.*
You must like strawberry's a lot. *She said to the fox as she smiled at it. His smile was strange, she noticed right away that his teeth were really sharp. She watched him with great interest as his eyes rolled over to Hanna and back at him as if he himself were nervous.* You're funny too! *She said with a giggle and then gave a playful stamp of her right hove. Ears remained at alert as she listened to him her tail aimlessly flicked back and forth cooling her hind quarters.*

Arlin giggles as he gets a nose bumped into him, then returns to watching Serenity as she smells him, he was a little nervous at letting the youngling do this, he smiles once a again relaxing a bit*
" I love them, youngling, they make me feel better sometimes." He smiles and moves to stand to wave his tail around like a flag to help wave the nervousous* " Maybe just a bit." He watches her playful stamp the ground and smiles again* " would you like to play hide and sneek with me, maybe we can get Hanna to play with us." He smirks, and waves his tail around again.*
Hanna watches the two of them closely and smirks at the idea of playing, it had been long time since, she had played a game like that.* " sure I"ll play, if Serenity wants to, but first I think we might want own tubbies settle and go and get a drink."
