Hello there. I would like to have some advice on the piccolo.
So, for our symphonic band, we're playing "A Copland Tribute" by Aaron Copland, adapted by Clare Grundman, and I'm playing the piccolo part. I would like to find out how to play softly and in tune. The solo is very fun, aye, but my band director tells me to play softer. >.<;;
I know for pic, you need less air than for the flute, but more air support. Any idea on how to keep quiet, "blend" into the rest of the band? Especially for the higher notes, second octave on the staff, third on pic, it's difficult to be quiet, keep in tune, AND hit the high notes.
I've only been playing piccolo since last month. :3 Any input, please? Thank you, everybody. <33
