As the pack had grown and also grown softer in voice. Rage peered over the lands atop a cliff edge and sighed while watching the waves lap the shore. The scent of salt wasn't as thick where she was, though it was forever present like an omnipresent form tugging on her ear always.
Flicking her tail while listening to the wind she thought of Philokiss, what he said to her about the mark had to be returned to the valley. Her children were growing older now, just as she was though she felt just as alive as she did when she first arrived on these sandy shores, like the day she was saved by Amelia and Phib, how she had began to call this her home, and now, while Phib and Amelie traveled and were more silent than before, she watched over everyone, watched the borders, gave out orders to the guards, helped hunt, and watch the pups of her second litter grow into teens, time moved too quickly for her.
Even Tearh had come to find someone she could feel safe and secure with as Rage did with Daemon and Nix with Cellen. Valen, Cellen's first born and eldest son had seemed to grow accustomed to Tearh's presence, and at first, Ghilt disapproved, but even he had found something interesting in the female Anokain'thros, the strange one she was.
Though life was abundant, Wrigley and Logan watched the borders with Derrob and Nabu'na while Philokiss granted his wisdom on those that wanted to listen, such as Amara, Phaelin, Noir, the black somewhat blind female who she called Phib and Amelie her parents, though she looked nothing like them. Ryu and Ano spent a lot of time dwelling in the confines of Philokiss' presence while Eevee and Malik hunted nad learned from one another.
Daemon taught her children how to hunt, and food was still plentiful although it seemed like the liveliness of the outriders was dwindling, new life and voices, thats what Rage wanted, but rumors of packs outside and scheming wolves made her worry and watch the borders for any intruders, Croanyl, Macaress, Arguin, the warned by Philokiss, Rage would not take any chances.
Nix was still so deeply in love with Cellen though their children had already grown so much, they seemed as if they had met only the moon before, but their forever present love and livelihood was welcomed in Rage's heart.
Ohka was even quiet now, though she still mumbled and murmured to herself of her love and devotion for Mrost, the father of Senku and Anokain'thros, grandfather of Senku and Katana's children, Ona, Redlea, and Lous.
Lous, Redlea, Tearh, Ghilt and Valen had grown so close along with Kia, Nix and Cellen's youngest child, and they were a system of guards and authority in their own number, strength in numbers and in mind and heart, they held that true.
Phaelin and Dinili had gotten into a scuffle not too long ago with a wolfess name Indika accompanied by a male named Inappa, supposed messengers of Macaress though Nabu'na fended them off with Derrob in no time. Nabu'na was a welcomed strength in the Outirders ranks.
Everyone had grown older, but wiser, leaning on one another though the vagabond that had come into the lands named DragonsRage was still somewhat secluded, but she was welcome, and spent much of her time alone watching the sea. Rage wondered what she though of, and why she had carved into her shoulder the mark that rage, Ano, Ryu and now Tearh shared. Although Rellik had a mark as well, it was not exact, thus she was not one of the few that carried the mark that would have to be brought to the lost valley of her mind.
Everything had changed since she was a pup, she was once afraid, targeted, and was a victim, but now Rage held her head high as she was the alpha now, she was strong, and as long as she was alive, the Outriders would live on in her name, Phib's and Amelia's, for this was her home no matter what tales Philokiss spoke of.
Turning from the sea Rage weaved herself through the pines and maples that clung close to one another, the underbrush creating a safe wall for those tiny creatures that scampered away in the night. A hawk flew high overhead, not circling, which meant no warning, just passing on by as if the pack was invisible.
Perhaps it was best, to be invisible to others, that way, none would try to invade, their would be no more trouble, no battles, no wars against other wolves which was fine with Rage, she wanted safety for her home, her pack, and she would never faulter in making that a reality.
The borders were heavily watched now, more than before as the tales of dark wolves were thick upon the wind, though to those who wanted a home, the OutRiders would extend open arms to embrace their brothers and sisters from different blood and lands to bring forth new and welcome faces and namesakes to the pack.
As the sun set, light twinkled off the rolling waves as they beat and crashed onto the shoreline, in the midst rounding stones and pebbles that Philokiss often collected to make a strange bed at night. Rage smiled to herself, and watched with amber silver eyes as her pack territory came into darkness of hte night as the moon was full above her head.
As Phib had done many times before, Rage craned her neck back and howled into the night, welcoming and showing love nad devotion to all who dwelled within the borders, and a smile caressed her maw as she was greeted with returning howls upon hte night wind.
The OutRiders would remain.
