If the world's existence depended on you, what would you do?
The year is 3095. World War Three has started, and no one is safe. Bombs are constantly falling, most families are now living in their bomb shelters, and thousands of soldiers are dying each day.
The weight of the world is now resting on the shoulders of a certain group of youngsters. Marisa is a 13-year-old servant living in a manor. Thomas is a 12-year-old boy who lives in the same manor as Marisa. Sammie is a 13-year-old girl who used to make a living by working at a bookstore. 13- year-old Alice has a job as a young tutor at the nearby school, earning a meager salary. Becky, a 13-year-old, is a teacher but also fights in the war occasionally. Alex, at 12 years, finds himself not knowing what to do. And 14-year-old Clarke was drafted into the army and is now fighting for his life.
These seven don't seem to be special. But when they meet...they discover just how important their roles are in saving themselves, their families, their country, and most of all...their world.

Marisa covered her head as the bomb's noise and impact radiated through the house. It hadn't hit very far away - Marisa poked her head out and saw a mushroom cloud only about a block away. She shivered, realizing she probably knew who lived in the house that had been bombed. Marisa closed the door and made her way back inside the house. She hoped the young teacher Alice hadn't been in the house.

The bombs were getting closer, Alice could tell. She needed to get to Marissa's quarters quick.
"Tommy, Timmy, Renee, Sadie, Andrew, Penny, Becky, Patrick, and Alex we have to go NOW!"
She was holding little baby Nikki in one arm and in the other was Timmy's hand. The others were already gone. Well, except for crazy princapal Lewis, who tied herself to a chair and her boyfriend, Aaron. But he was just behind her. The ran out the building and about one minute later it exploded. She saw that Tommy was lacking. "Aaron, can you get Tommy please?
"Sure, sweetie," He replied. They ran a bit longer then knocked on Marissa's door. She hoped she was home.

Marisa opened the door as a frantic knocking shook it. "What do you - Alice!" she cried, interrupting herself. "What is it? What's the matter? Are you and your students all right? Come in, come in, the family's in the bomb shelter, you can come too. Is Thomas all right? Oh, his parents would kill BOTH of us if he isn't! Surely, Alice, you must need some protection...and Aaron too, of course..."
Becky and Alex, the eldest of the group, helped Marisa usher the other students in. Becky was the same age as Alice, 13, and Alex, at 12, was only a month younger. After they made sure Thomas, Timothy, Renee, Sadie, Andrew, Penny, and Patrick were safe in the Lakeshire bomb shelter, they returned to the two girls.
"Come on, Alice, Becky, Alex," Marisa said. "Don't be silly. You guys need to stay safe too."

Becky shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "I'm sorry, Marisa," she said. "I'm supposed to be fighting right now." She pulled out an item that looked like a machine gun. "See this? It's my newest invention. It's a laser gun, with three lasers and seven settings. All three; the top and left; the top and right; the two bottom ones; the top one; the left one; the right one; and all three, spinning. Capable of killing and injuring." Becky grinned and placed her laser gun back in its holster on her belt. She rested her hand on Marisa's shoulder. "It's all right, Marisa. Alex and I do this regularly. We haven't been injured yet." With that, Becky and Alex left the room.

"Well, Becky sure is something," Alice said to Aaron as she grabbed the baby from him. Timmy let go of Alice's hand and looked out the window. Another bomb blew up.
"Aww..." Timmy satrted. "The ice cream sho just blew up."
Alice chuckled to herself. She remembered the first time she went there.
"Maybe when you are older Timmy, you can own a ice cream shop."

Marisa laughed. "Yeah, Becky sure does have a...personality," she murmured.
As another bomb fell, Timmy cried out again. "No! No! Not the CANDY STORE!"
Marisa ushered them in and showed them to the bomb shelter, helping each one in before finally clambering in herself and shutting the door.
She hoped Alex and Becky didn't get injured.
Becky handed Alex the laser gun from her belt and unhooked the holster. "I've got another weapon," she said, noticing the boy's questioning look. "Newer, stronger, fiercer, and way, way deadlier. Oh, I know you're thinking that the gun you're holding is my newest. But it isn't, I lied. This is my newest." She brandished a thin black object. "Has all the powers of the laser you're holding, but it's more compact - and it's able to send a bolt of 'lightning,' you could call it, which kills up to 10 enemies at once." She smiled at her friend's expression. "I'm not the innocent girl you thought you knew, am I?"

Sammie squeeked as a bomb went off closer then she expected it to be. Her hands loaded with supplies for Marisa and the school she had no way of protecting herself or even covering her head from falling debrise. Finding no other solution she runs for it, hoping that she can make it to Marisa's place in time to get out of the storm of falling bombs, hoping that all of her friends from the school had made it out alive before the bomb hit.

Marisa started as a thought jumped into her mind. "Alice, where's Sammie? Have you seen her around lately? She was supposed to meet us at the school, wasn't she? But it's too dangerous to go there now, with all the bombs. Oh no, oh no, I hope she comes here! Alice, you go into the shelter - I'll wait for Sammie out here!"

Try as she may the bombs were falling all around her, she quickly makes a bee-line for Marisa's house. Although the way was shorter, it was more hazardous. Stumbling and falling once or twice she makes it there. "Marisa! Open the door! I can't! My hands are full!" She was hoping that someone heard her pleas and opened the door, her legs were scraped up and she could have sworn she twisted her ankle but the adrenaline had kept her going.
