You'll Need:
-1 package of bacon (This is a key ingredient. If you use anything else (Like sausage), it tastes so awful. So be forewarned)
-4 large potatoes (You will have leftover potato mix! Try it fried? x3 I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds good... And that's another recipe... Not much of one, but... xD)
-Cheese of any kind (I use colby jack... Mmm...)
-Sour cream (You'll be using a LOT)
-Seasoning of any sort (I use Johnny's Seasoning Salt, Garlic Salt/Powder, Onion shreds, and salt and pepper. These can be found in your seasoning aisle.. Use as lightly or fiercely as you like)
-Bacon Grease, for flavor (Optional)
Tools you may want to have:
Hand Mixer... This is a LIFESAVER. Especially when you feel like you want to leave the potatoes slightly undercooked --- Leaving them so is perfectly fine. They're getting put back in the oven anyway, so.. xD
Directions:
-Place the Potatoes in the oven at 350 degrees. Check every so often, as they might explode. x3
-As the potatoes are near finishing, start frying the bacon. Cut it up so it is bitable, then fry it altogether. Don't drain the bacon grease if you plan to use it.
-When cooked, or nearly so, take the potatoes out, and cut open and scoop potato out. Plug hand mixer in. Put the potato skins in a separate cookware container, as they need to go back in the oven
In bowl with the potato, place the sour cream, cheese, seasonings, and a little bacon grease in the bowl. Mix together with mixer
-Put in bacon, and continue mixing.
-When all looks well, put potato mix back in the potato skins, and stuff them to the brim. Sprinkle cheese on top
-Put them back in the oven at 350 degrees, for 30 or so minutes, them they're done!
Enjoy!
