With his newly grown body Lanzo was using every opportunity he could to allow his wings the chance to fly and dive. As a child he'd always watch his father take to the skies, and now he could finally do what he wanted on his own time and practice. So, he had spent his morning flying and getting himself used to the power his wings carried, and by noon he was exhausted from such an adventure. He lowered himself to a nearby stream in hopes of getting some water, but the stream was frozen solid and without useful moisture. He tried to pound his hooves on the top of the stream, but nothing came from his heavy hits. Well, luckily for him he was overheated enough from his workout to forget to notice how damn cold it was around him! The cold was seriously becoming inconvenient in his eyes. So, rather then moping at the frozen stream, he decided to wander off and search for another place. For the first time in his life he had the time to do whatever he wished!

He instantly felt better as he walked and cooled himself off, and the cold air had enough moisture to wake his body up again. He wondered if he should take to the skies again for his afternoon, but he remembered his father always explaining to him that he should never overdo that sort of thing. He had to stay on alert since he was a grown stallion now. Danger could be lurking at any moment, so he needed his body to always be full of energy and ready for the worst. He was respectful to these kinds of situations, and knew that he could handle them without fail.

His father had trained him well, and Lanzo was always more interested then his siblings when it came to combat and protection. Since youth he wondered if he should be the protector of his two siblings, and now in his bigger size he felt like he could even protect his parents and older brothers and sisters if needed be. He didn't mind becoming the rebel for them, and if he'd get himself dirty once in awhile he knew that it was for the sake of those he loved and cherished. He had an intensity that allowed for him to accept pain and punishment, but he'd never use that same intensity to hurt the kind and innocent. He was what he was, and he was definitely ok with it all, since he was learning day by day how to be the best stallion he could. He was just thankful that his family allowed him to do as he wished without calling him out for his differences. They appreciate him and cherished what he was. That gave him the confidence he needed to actually be a great stallion.

The pretty-boy stallion was right - danger could be lurking at any moment. And at this moment, the appointed danger was that of a relative watching from afar. Well, it really wasn't that far away, but across the frozen stream and behind the shallow treeline. Simply walking by, his goal was merely to come across his mother and keep up his facade up with her so he was still "her little boy". A boring task indeed, but he expected to come across one toy or two on his way... And look at his luck! Across the stream was a brute of a stallion... Kalona by the looks of it.

A smirk licked at Ishmael's lips as he watched the mute-colored form walk, assessing the wings and the tail. From his distance however, he could not tell if he was the typical nasty b*****d the breed was known for, or one of the goody half-breeds with no bite. Either way, a distraction would do him good. His smirk grew as the thought of finding out what kind of winged beast he was was tossed back and forth in his head. If he were to walk away from such an opportunity, it would be against his playful and pleasurable personality, no?

With a flourish of his wings and a bit of a run he lifted himself from the ground in an elaborate manner, quickly settling himself on the other side of the stream still a decent distance away. Oh, he knew he was in earshot and sight... But he wanted to see if this pansy-lookin' of a Kalona would turn around. Silent, he waited to see if his new toy would give him the benefit of turning around.

((P.S - Despite what Ishmael thinks, I think Lanzo is hawt stuff. <3 ))

Lanzo had heard it. His ears twitched as the other stallion landed, and without waiting he turned himself so he could witness whatever it was that wanted to be made obvious. When he did finally see the other stallion, he took a double-take at the strangeness that was it's figure. It had normal wings with a striking face, but then a tail that could be deemed kalona-ish. How in the world did that happen? Apparently the other stallion had it's own mix when it came to breed. Lanzo had heard of such a thing happening, but he was unaware of who the stallion was in prospect. Who knew if that would soon be made apparent.

So, after a long enough silence, Lanzo finally spoke up. His eyes were barely showing under his murky frown. "Can I help you?" It seemed like an appropriate question, considering the circumstances. His voice was stale and quick, and his tail was swerving from side to side as he watched the other. This stallion wanted him for something, though Lanzo was confused as to why. The situation was unfamiliar and unknown at the moment, and it was unsettling. There was also something about his expression that threw Lanzo off for a curve. He believed there was also something untrusting about this stallion, so he kept his guard up with a watchful eye. What else could he do in this situation? The stallion had approached him with no warning or hiding skills.

When Lanzo considered his past encounters, he realized how often others avoided him for his appearance. He didn't try to hide the fact that he was a Kalona, nor did he smile or carry rainbows everywhere he walked. So, this stallion was either and idiot or someone well taught in the kinds of Kalonas that actually existed. Either way, Lanzo was interested to see for himself!

Ishmael was on the border of giggling like a typical mare. The expression, the stance of this unfamiliar stallion... It was too amusing! His charming smile widened into a grin, his eyes appraising the other stallion. So sure, he was quite a pretty boy, but apparently not a silly one. Even better, but if he turned into the typical -- not done--

Ishmael was on the border of giggling like a typical mare. The expression, the stance of this unfamiliar stallion... It was too amusing! His charming smile widened into a grin, his eyes appraising the other stallion. So sure, he was quite a pretty boy, but apparently not a silly one. Even better, but if he turned into the typical, bloodthirsty Kalona... Ishmale feared disappointment would outweigh amusement.

"Can you... Help me?" He repeated the words, laughter lightly tinting them as they left his mouth. "Mm, maybe you can." He began to walk towards the Kalona, his eyes fecetiously roaming around as if he were in thought. He stopped a good few safe feet away, before clicking his tongue as if he figured out what he needed. The only thing Ishmael truly needed was a good beat down, but he already knew that. Instead, he continued with his instigation and investigation of this interesting looking character: "Oh! There is dear stranger, there is. Could you please enlighten me by simply talking. I fear I've grown bored and lonely, and the company would be oh so nice." He batted his eyes in a flirtatious manner, though it was all an act. The stallion flicked his tail tendrils in an almost threatening manner, offsetting his frivolous actions.

Lanzo may have been somewhat new to life and it's mysteries, but there was something about the other stallion that made his guard heavy and tight. He wasn't as intimidating in terms of appearances, but his voice was chilling and his expression intense. Lanzo flinched a bit as the stallion proceeded to walk closer, and he prepared himself for whatever the stallion was going to do.

So, the stallion wanted... company? Lanzo blinked somewhat and gave a shifty expression. This was somewhat unexpected, and the young stallion wasn't sure how to interpret things. "I'm sorry to hear that you are lonely." he then said, while swishing his own tail back and forth habitually. "I'm afraid I'm not the best option if you seek social comfort. If you head to a crowded area I'm sure you'll find plenty of Soquili to keep yourself entertained and busy." But, Lanzo was not one of them. He wasn't skilled at being social and interesting. He just... never found a reason to be or try.

"So, now that I've talked, have I entertained you enough?" Since THAT was the true question to ask.
