So I beat the game and I gotta say. Aside from the fact it only took me like 4 days to beat it, it was pretty disappointing.
To make things short-
- It seems like it was suppose to be a movie but decided to make it into a game. There's barely any actual dungeon crawling, puzzles, or anything of that nature. It's essentially like Kingdom Hearts 2... you go to a place, get a cutscene, move around a map and kill a bunch of enemies until you find the next zone, another cutscene... and goes on like that.
What also really struck out was how instead of Sephiroth being thrown into the Mako, he was thrown... into another floor? Could they not program another room into the reactor scene? The most important scene in the entire game or something?
- The leveling system is stupid. You could go the entire game without getting a single level if you're lucky, all because it's based off of dumb luck. Sometimes I'd get levels back to back, sometimes I'd NEVER get them. It was very inconvenient, and very stupid. However contrast to the leveling, I thought it was an excellent idea for limits.
- Sephiroths transformation from good to evil was a LITTLE too quick.
'Yeah these guys are the average SOLDIER members' 'Average? Um... you're an average soldier member yourself, Sephiroth' '...... WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!!??! WHAT IS MY BEING, WHY AM I HERE. WHO AM I?"
It's like dude... No. 1, you're a brilliant strategic mastermind. You should have figured this out years ago. 2. Have a little build up, he went from good guy to instantly wanting to kill everything. And his reasoning wasn't all that impressive either, it seemed like he only wanted to do it cause he could... but couldn't have all along?
- And as a last point. I hate how they leave Cissnei as a cliffhanger. They bring so much depth on her and just end it with nothing to satisfy you. Who is she? Why is she important? We don't know. Will we ever?
To sum it up. I thought it was just an okay game. Something to waste time with. Better than the Arcade version.

I think it was a OK game too. Well, the time that Sephiroth went mad was like...wasn't it like 2 weeks that he was in the library? I think the game just skipped the time. I'm also not a big fan of Genesis, he wasn't ever in the original set up from FF7 and he played an large role in this twist...eh. I think Cissnei went to go live with Zack's parents...I remember a scene where she said something about being part of his family...

Sephiroth went crazy too fast in that one scene. Sephiroth went from completely put together to just absolutely confused and mad. There was no build up.

I didn't mind Crisis Core. I actually enjoyed it. It was much better then Dirge of Cerberus.
Sadly... It was rented from Gamefly.
My mom had to activate the child lock system in the car and lock me in to keep me from tackling my brother who took it to the mail box at the post office. I cried. D:
