Lila had found a secret spot. It was pretty far up the coast, but it was very pretty and water was much louder like it was talking to her. It was almost out of the prides territory so, her momma would not let her go alone, but that was okay. It was her and momma special spot. They went there together sometimes when her momma had a moment and she loved being there.
Lila treked along the the sandy path and wondered if she should show her secret spot to her siblings. She had begged her momma not to tell, but she bet if Udo knew, he could take her sometime.
Lila looked back to her momma making sure she was still just behind her. She was almost there. She could here the waves crashing onto the beach in a thunderous uproar. The waves really weren't stronger than the ones near the dens but it was much quieter without the other cubs playing and the traffic of the adults going back and forth, so it seemed louder here.
Lila looked up to the spot on the beach when an odd tree grew and smiled. "We made it momma," she said as she bounded over to the tree. Siti walked forward, her head in the clouds. She watched her young daughter lead the way to her secret spot, but she was thinking about other things. She thought about her new home and her 'family'. In such a short time she was a mother and an aunt and she had friends she could see everyday. Still she missed the friends she had made on her journey her and longed to visit them.
Siti shook the thought from her head. She knew that when the cubs were older they would love to go on an adventure for a while and meet all of their mother's old friends. She looked to her youngest daughter, she knew Lila would be roaring to go. The cub had such a thirst for exploration and Siti own love for trees. She knew the cub spent as much time in the tree as she had when she was younger.
Lila's voice broke her thoughts and she looked up to see the odd tree, that stood along on the beach. Siti knew they had to be close to fresh water for the tree to survive. The sea's water was only suitable for fish.
"Yes, we have made it." She followed her daughter and thought maybe they could fish today. If their bellies were full they could stay longer.

Jasiri'ka had made his way to the sea, a daily routine for him. He had met so many lions just by being there, and he just loves the sound of the waves crashing onto the coast, as well as the salty smell of the air. He chuckled to himself softly, remembering how Pao, a lion he had met and showed the sea to, had described the sounds and smells of the sea as 'bad weather'... Which was partially true. The waves do sound a little like rolling thunder, and the moist air felt like an incoming storm.
He walked all the way up to the water's edge, smiling happily as the water lapped at his paws and made them wet. He felt himself sinking a little into the wet sand, and shifted himself before turning to his side and walking up along the coast, following the imaginary border between the wet sand and the dry sand. The gentle sea breeze ruffled his mane, but he didn't mind; he could always groom it later on.
Then, he stopped. In front of him, he saw 2 tracks; one made with small paws, probably belonging to a cub, and one made with larger paws... Probably an adult. Curious as to who the two tracks might belong to, Jasiri'ka started following them, making a third track as he walked.

Lila scurried up the tree, giggling as it green leaves brushed over her fur. She really loved to climb, even more than she loved the water. There was just something about being in the trees. She looked down to her momma and grinned.
"Are you coming up momma?" She knew her mother loved to climb as well. She had heard stories of how her mother would climb and spend the majority of her time in the trees. She had even met a few others while up in a tree.
Siti watched as her little one scurried up they large tree. It was near the end of the beach, not close to the shore at all but still in the sand. It was quite unique and Siti enjoyed lounging in the tree. She made her way over to the tree and looked up as her daughter called to her.
"I was thinking maybe we could catch a few fish first." She knew her daughter would enjoy fishing. Siti was still mastering the technique herself, but she was getting better each day and could catch about 6 at a time now.
Lila smiled and scurried down from her place in the tree, "Of course I want to fish. Fish are yummy!"
She ran over to her momma and jumped about excitedly, "I get to help too this time. Right momma?"
Siti smiled, "Yes of course, but you have to calm down or you'll scare the fish off."
Siti headed toward the water and waded in, looking back to make sure her daughter followed but did not come to far in. Siti started trying to scoop up a fish the got pushed into the shallower part of the water by the waves and missed the first few times, but managed to scoop up a nice sized one and toss to toward Lilavati.
Lila pounce on the slippery fish, sinking her sharp cub claws into it. She wanted to catch lots of fish and did not want it to get away. She happily picked up the fish that was mostly to large for her mouth and carried the wiggling thing up past the waves to set it aside. Then scrurried back to her mother, repeating the process with three more fish although she lost one.

It was now a game of 'follow the paw prints'. His eyes were filled with a mixture of determination as well as curiosity as to who the paw prints belonged to. Then, he caught whiff of an almost familiar smell, although he had no idea where he had encountered it before. He just could not place his paw on it. Closing his eyes, the male tried to recall his first few days at the shore...
Then, suddenly, it hit him - the lioness with a seashell necklace!
Opening his eyes quickly, the male blushed a little as he looked around for any signs of Siti. He had enjoyed playing with her the other day, and the thought of having her company made him feel happy, even a little excited.
Quickening his pace, he finally saw Siti... And was that a cub beside her? He blinked, slowing down as he approached the pair, a blur look on his face.

Lila was the first to notice the new stranger approaching her and her momma. She frowned dropping another fish onto the growing pile. She ran over her momma as close as she could get and not be swallowed up by the ocean.
"Momma," she called, "someone's coming. He found our secret spot momma. Now, its not secret."
Lila was distressed about losing the secrecy of the her favorite spot and she wanted it to be special, just her and her momma.
Siti looked up when her daughter called to her, she could hear that her child was upset but still a smiled graced her face as she noticed just who their intruder was. She moved toward her daughter, nuzzling her as she reached the cub, trying to calm her, before tears spilled from her dark brown eyes.
"Don't worry Lila. He is a friend, he will keep your secret." Siti hoped she was right. They had only met once, but he seemed very friendly and at the end of their meeting Siti found herself hoping to meet him again. She was glad to see he had found his way into Simbafutaji.
Lila brightened up at her mother's words, she turned looked at the approaching orange toned male. She figured since her momma knew him, it was okay to greet him, so she turned and bounded over to him.
Upon reaching him she took a tumble and landed on her back looking up at him. "Hi, I'm Lilavati. Momma says she knows you." Lila grinned.
Siti moved toward Jasiri, while Lila bounded over and when her cub took a tumble she sped up to get to her. Once she reached Lila, she right the cub and looked to Jasiri. "Hello again Jasiri. It is very nice to see you."

Jasiri'ka stopped, blinking in surprise as the cub who was approaching him tumbled and fell on her back. Taking a second or two to react, he had stepped forward to try to push the cub back up, but Siti had beaten him to it. He smiled at the cub before looking up and smiling at the lioness, giving a nod in greeting as he suddenly felt just a little scared; was he intruding on something? The cub looked pretty upset a moment ago, when she first saw him heading their way.
"Hello again, Siti. Its really good to see you again too." He replied, trying not to sound nervous about talking to her. Then, clearing his throat, the male looked down at the cub, "And its nice to meet you Lilavati! I'm Jasiri... And yes, you mother and I had met before."

Lilavati thanked her mother as she sat sat up correctly. She watched as her mother greeted the lion before them and smiled knowing he was friendly and maybe a new playmate. She looked to her mother waiting to see would do.
Siti was really happy to see another of her friends again. They had only just met, but outside the pride it was not often she got to see an outsider more that once. There were always so many coming and going. She approached Jasiri and gave his a light friendly nuzzle, as she would any friend, before turning and heading toward the food she and her daughter had caught.
"Come, Lilavati, lets have lunch?"
Lila perked hopped up from her sitting position in the sand and grinned a Jasiri. She began to make her way toward her mother, but turned and looked to Jasiri. "You coming Mister Jasiri, we caught a lot."
Lila than bounded off toward her mother.
Siti was looking back at Lila and smiled at her daughter's politeness, "Yes Jasiri, you should join us. As Lila said, we have plently." Siti turned and made the rest of the journey over to the fish."

Jasiri'ka froze up, a blush creeping up his cheeks at the nuzzle. He returned the light nuzzle; it was a little stiff as he was still mildly in shock, but he wasn't rough. At the invitation to lunch, he managed a smile and a brief nod at the cub. It took him a second to find his voice again, but when he did, he bowed his head slightly, "Th-Thanks, Lilavati and Siti... I'll love to have lunch with the both of you!"
He followed after the pair, walking behind them to the fishes. His eyes widened at the pile, and he shook his head in slight disbelief. Turning his attention to Siti, he grinned, "Wow... That is quite the catch."

Siti smiled at her friend, happy for the compliment. "Thank you very much. The fish are very plentiful today. I bet I could catch more, but I do not think you should take more than you need. It is rather impolite." She moved to separate the fish, giving Lilavati a medium sized fish all to her self and giving three of the larger ones each to herself and Jasiri. She left the remainder of the fish, planning on giving them to rest of her family.
Lilavati looked at the fish that was given to her. "Thank you mama." It was only the third time she had had fish but she absolutely loved it and she eagerly tucked into her meal, forgetting about her company and enjoying her fish.
"You welcome, my little one," said Siti watching her cub eat. She turned to Jasiri, "Have you ever had fish before? When I came to Simbafutagi, was the first time I had fish and I have grown to really enjoy it. You just have to watch out for the spiney bones."
Lila looked up, "Yup, its true. I got one caught in my tooth once. It hurt, but I think it hurt mama more, cus it stuck her and she couldn't get it out."

Jasiri'ka shook his head, blinking at the fish in front of him, "To be honest, no." He chuckled, smiling nervously at the two lioness in front of him, "Although I've been traveling near the coast, it didn't occur to be to use fish as a food... So this shall be my first time tasting one... I'll be sure to look out of its bones then." He sniffed the fish, wondering if its as good as Siti and Lilavati make it out to be.
"Well... Here I go!" The lion nodded briefly before sinking his teeth into the flesh of the fish, biting out a small chunk; he didn't want to take big bites because he was nervous about eating something new, not due to the bones. Chewing it, his eyes widened as he exclaimed, "Hey, its not salty at all!"

Lila watched as Jasiri took his first taste of fish and her face lit up when he said he liked it. "Its not spose to be salty silly, but I you dip it in the water after you get the scales off. Tastes funny that way though."
Siti smiled at Jasiri as he tried the fish and was happy he liked the fish, "I'm glad you like it. It is very surprising food sourse, harder to catch than regular prey too, but at least you only need one paw for it," she said remembering his injury.
She tucked into her fish, making quick work of them and Lila finished up her fish as well.
Lila ran over to her mama, "Play with me mama. Please mama!"

The male blushed slightly at Lila's comment, and shook his head, "Just that since sea water is salty, I though the prey living in it would be too... But its not salty at all! Juicy and sweet, in fact... Its a nice change from the usual food." He turned and gave a smile of gratitude at Siti, the blush creeping back to his cheeks, "Thank you again, for the fish."
"Maybe you can teach me to fish someday," He continued with a brief nod and a light chuckle. Hearing Lila's voice, he blinked at the cub, chuckling again; it reminded him of how, as a cub, he used to pester his mother to play with him as well, all the time... Even when his mother is tired from a hunt, she had never refused his pleas.

Siti smiled at Jasiri and nodded. "I would love to teach you how to fish, just come find me when you feel the urge to fish."
She turned to her daughter when the cub asked for her to play. "Of course Lila," she said, "how about a swim?"
Lila looked up at her mother and grinned, before bounding of towards the ocean. "Ran you, last one there is a dung beetle."
Siti watched her little one run across the sand before running off after her. "I'm going to get you Lila." She laughed, she loved playing with her cubs, all of them.
Lila made her way into the water splashing around, but not going into deep.
Siti bounded into the water just after daughter kicking up water all around her. She looked to her daughter that was splashing about, she took her paw and brought it through water making a wave to splash her little one.
Lila gave a small shriek as she was soaked with cold water and took a tumble into the water becoming even more soaked. Lila popped up out of the water grinning, "Hey momma no fair."
Siti smiled splashing over to her daughter and putting the cub back on her feet. She leaned down and whispered in her daughters ear, then motioned toward Jasiri.
Lila nodded and turned, then she bounded out of the water and back up the beach. Lila made a b-line for Jasiri and when she reached at him attempting to pounce on him. She was completely soaked and aimed to wet him up as well.

Jasiri'ka nodded briefly at the lioness, a smile on her lips, "That'll be very nice."
When the cub and mother pair went to play in the sea, Jasiri'ka felt a little awkward as he watched them. Part of him was happy Siti didn't teat him as an outsider, but a small part of him envious that he couldn't join in... Not only in what was happening in front of him, but just... Join in. The male blushed a little, shaking his head to himself as he wondered what made him think that all of a sudden, his head bent downwards.
Maybe he was reminded that he was somewhat alone... Maybe he just wants a family again. The lion blinked, trying to push the thoughts to the back of his mind. Just as he looked up again, his eyes widened at the sight of Lila rushing towards him... And what's with that expression on her face?
"Oh no... No, you don't!" Jasiri'ka attempted to leap backwards, but his reaction was too slow; the cub was now in pouncing range.

Lila saw Jasiri try to get away, but he wasn't quite fast enough and Lila landed right on his back. She laughed happily and scrambled up onto his head wetting up his large fluffy mane.
"I got you Mister Jasiri", she said laughing. "Momma told me to wet you up, then you would come play with us in the ocean."
Lila nips at the males ear falling off his head and hanging by his ear for a second before plopping down in the sand looking up at him.
"Will you come play with us, huh Mister Jasiri?"
Siti watched from the beach as the waves washed around her ankles, smiling at the scene before her. She blushed thinking about spending more time with Jasiri and introducing him to her family.
She wondered where the thoughts were coming from as they had not know each other long, but they were getting along well and she was not at all uneasy around him.
