Dole was rather bored. Walking the rogue lands, she couldn’t help but noticed a severe lack of hyenas around the area. What the hell was up with that? When she had first left her home she had imagined the place would be crawling with others that she could befriend and get to know. This wasn’t very cool at all- why couldn’t she have just one other hyena to talk to? So far she had seen a lot of wild dogs and a few lions, along with a multitude of lesser, non-fanged animals that she didn’t look twice at, but none of them really interested her.
She hadn’t stopped to talk to any of them, not the kind to like mingling with other species. She couldn’t help but feel like that they wouldn’t like her, and the last thing she wanted was to make anyone bored.
Sighing, she sat down under a tree, feeling hot and bothered. Maybe she was just the only hyena left. All the others had been killed and she was the last of her kind.
That had to be it.

Asadaki was in a similar predicament to the female close by. Since he and his sister had left his pack, they had met almost no one else. Especially not other hyenas... and the ones who they had met were... rude. How was it that there were so few genuinly kind creatures in the world? He had no idea... and it only made him more nervous about bringing his sister into it. He had seen very little goodness, and plenty of evil, or those who were partially responsible, or had been the recipiants of said evil. That made him... distinctly uncomfortable. Especially since he had dragged his sister into said world.
He didn't mind speaking with other species, nor did he mind speaking to those of ill intent - provided his sister was nowhere near him at the time - but he was a little suprised when he saw another female hyena near by. He hadn't seen any females except his sister for... ages.
It blew his mind a little, for a moment. But perhaps she would be kind? Perhaps she would be a good and kind hyena that he could actually talk to... without worrying that she would run back and attack his sister when Asa wasn't looking.
"Oh... hello there, miss." He said politely.

Blinking, she peered over her shoulder, the white and orange hyena letting her mouth open in a big smile and her eyes brighten at the sight of another hyena. So they did exist! And it was a male too, which was good. Because if they were the only two left then at least they could re-populate the species before kicking the bucket. Then gain, she was so in need of company she wouldn’t have minded it being another female, either. Even if they didn’t leave anything behind, at least she would have had someone to speak with.
Ignoring her day dreaming, she got back to her feet quickly, turning to face the stranger. She had never seen such natural colors on anything before.
Except on the dirt and trees and such, of course.
“Hi!” She said eagerly, just happy to see that there were other hyenas around after all, “I didn’t think I would meet anyone out here! I’ve been walking around a lot and I didn’t see anyone so I decided to sit down and have a rest. Oh…” she quieted, realizing how much, not to mention how quickly, she was speaking, “sorry… I’m… just excited.” She sat down again, this time facing Asadaki, and continued to smile.
“What’s your name?” she asked.

Asadaki couldn't help but smile at the female. She seemed to mean quite well, and though she was a fast-talker, he managed to keep up. He had always known that there were other hyenas around, he had even met a few. Re-population was hardly on his mind, after all, he was a gentleman and would never consider such a thing without a lady's consent. And any woman was a lady as far as he was concerned. Not a Goddess like his sister, but they deserved respect just like everyone else. There was no question in his mind about that.
Still, he was pleasenty suprised by her bright white colors. His own pack had been rather drab, so he wasn't used to the brightness. It reminded him of his God, who had often been described as a white hyena. Amusing, to say the least.
"Not to worry miss." He said politely, bowing his head in respect without a second thought, "It is quite alright to be happy to see another being in a place as lonely as this. There aren't many others around, let alone other hyenas." He looked back at her, ever a gentleman.
"My name is Asadaki. What may I call you miss?"

Dole was pleased indeed, hearing him speak. He seemed smart and nice, all bonuses to meeting another out in the vast rogue lands where she had been so sure she was the only one around. Though, really, she probably wouldn’t have run away if he had turned out to be nothing more than an idiot who took right to trying to rip her throat out- at least it was company.
Being alone was so… lonely.
“Oh! My name is Wekundu'dole,” she replied rather proudly, puffing up her chest and grinning brightly once more, “but you can call me Dole if you want to. Everyone does. I mean, well, everyone –would- if I knew them!” She watched him a moment longer, before looking around the area once more. There didn’t seem to be anything else around aside from the two of them and the tree she was sitting under.
“So how come you’re out here, Asadaki? If you don’t mind me asking, of course.” She was starting to calm tone-wise, though it was still perfectly clear in her bright eyes that she was excited.

Asa seemed just as pleased, nodding at her as she spoke. He did enjoy meeting new creatures, especially ones with nothing malicious in mind. He had met far too many in his time who intended to do him harm rather than good, and she seemed to be truly happy to meet him. He couldn't agree more with her, for traveling with his sister could be lonely on occasion.
"A pleasure to meet you Dole." Asadaki told her, all too pleased to call her by the name she liked. It seemed a shame that she had found no one to call her that, for both names seemed perfectly lovely to him. "You may call me Asa, if you like. My friends..." when he had friends, aside from his siter anyway, "they all call me Asa. My sister as well." He explained, also looking around to see if she had anyone else around. There didn't seem to be.
"I don't mind at all. I'm traveling with my sister. We're traveling the world you could say..." Asadaki explained. He decided not to add on the additional baggage which came with that, being that they could never return home lest his sister be sacrificed in the name of a God he no longer believed in. "What about you Dole? What brings you out here?"

“OH! You have a sister?” Dole smiled, “that must be nice! I have a family too, but I haven’t seen them in a while.” Actually, it hadn’t been that long ago since she had left them, but she wasn’t really one to measure time appropriately. Anything more than a day was a ridiculously long amount of time in her mind, especially when it was spent waiting or being away from people she loved. She had been away from her home even longer than a day.
It was nothing short of an eternity for her.
“Traveling the whole world?” she hummed thoughtfully, “but isn’t it really, really big? How on earth will you see all of it?!” She was excited at the thought. All those new places- there had to be hyenas in some of them. Maybe way more than were in the area she stayed. Her little corner of the world was very quiet.
“I think my family got tired of me,” she said, though soon laughed, “no, I’m kidding. I just thought it was time to strike out on my own, you know? I’ve been an adult for a while now but I stayed with my family to help them and stuff. But they can take care of themselves, so I figured I might as well travel. Like you, I guess! Though I hadn’t thought about traveling the whole world before. Just… what’s around here.”

"Yes, it's wonderful." Asadaki admitted fondly thinking of her. He had always loved his sister... and the thought of being parted from her... a fear that still haunted him to this day. But he didn't have to worry about that anymore. He had her, and everything was alright now.
"Yes, the world is very big. I don't know if I'll see all of it before I die... but I hope I will." He said happily, knowing that the longer he could convince his sister to travel with him around the world, the longer it would be before she asked him to do the unthinkable. "I want to see as much as I can, so I never stop moving... because there's so much to see. I want to go everywhere and see everything."
He grinned at her, glad that her family hadn't kicked her out... because he knew that he would never be welcome home again. Not after what he and his sister had done. He had failed them... all of them. "Well, there's a lot to see out there. Maybe you should think about seeing the world." He suggested helpfully. That had always been his dream after all... that and keeping his sister from harm. If anything happened to Biku... then he was pretty sure he would give up.
But they were safe now. No one would ever be able to hurt them again.

Seeing the whole world before dying, it seemed like such an impossible task. Dole wasn’t sure she would even see all the packs and prides in the area before dying- not with the way her feet worked. Likely, she would fall into a crater or have a tree collapse on top of her long before she managed to see much of anything.
Or she’d spend so much time face-first in the mud she’s simply miss all the really interesting things about the world.
“That a good way to think about things,” she hummed, “keep on moving till you see it all! I wish I could live like that. I just don’t think I could really pull it off, you know? I’m kind of… clumsy.” Wasn’t hard to admit. He’d see it sooner or later himself. Smiling, she shrugged her shoulders the best a hyena could. So it wasn’t something she felt she could pull off. You never really know unless you try, right? “Maybe I will see the world! But first I just want to see more Hyenas.”
Because apparently they were the only two on the planet. Pus his sister. And her family. But she didn’t know if they were still around.

"Yes... I think so too. The more places and things I see... the more I can't help but believe this world is incredible." Asa admitted in a kind way. Because he did like the world, with the exception of a few bad parts in it. But the vast majority seemed good and kind to him. After all, there were kind hyenas like her in it, now weren't there? Unlike some of the crueler ones he had met.
"There are more hyenas, I swear." He chuckled a little, "My sister and I lived in a whole pack, actually." He mentioned, "Though I wouldn't advise seeking them out... not everyone is so kind as I am, though I find that most creatures have good intentions." And he did mean that, for certain. He was a gentleman, after all.
"And clumsy? I don't think so. Besides, sometimes having the heart to do what you say you will is all that you need to keep going. I don't know much about the world, but I've discovered much simply by walking in it... and I hope to keep doing so." Because stopping meant that he would have to explain certain things to his sister that he would really rather not explain.

Dole didn’t like the idea of unfriendly hyenas. They were all supposed to live happily with one another and have fun conversations like the one she was having with him. What good came from being a grumpy puss about everything? Didn’t make sense to the white lady, her outlook on life much too bright to comprehend the woes of beaten souls. She’d never really had any hard moments to dampen her cheerful disposition.
Not that she hadn’t had to deal with crap, of course, but none of it ever seemed bad enough in her mind to let ruin her life.
She grinned. “Oh, I am clumsy! I walk into trees on a regular basis. But I think that’s because I spend too much time thinking about things and not enough time paying attention to the path ahead of me. Not like you. You sound like a guy who knows how to walk! Maybe I should take lessons. Do you want to walk together for a little while?”

Asa didn't like unfriendly hyenas much either. They posed too much of a danger for Biku as far as he was concerned. He hadn't met many of that type... but he knew very well that they were around. And he certainly didn't like to think that they would hurt this girl. She seemed very friendly.
He hated it when innocents didn't get in the way. They didn't deserve what the evil had to offer... and as far as Asa was concerned, he would have to do his best to stand in the way if he could.
"Well... I will do my best to teach you then. I would be happy to accompany you for a walk." Asa said with a nod, polite and friendly as always to those he felt deserved it. "Come... I don't know the area well, but I will do my best for you."
