The Cerexi Facility lies outside of Aekea, in the sandy desert regions. Located somewhat close, but still isolated enough from both the DemonHound Facility and also the E-Mice and somewhat between them [DemonHound being closer to Barton, and E-mcie to Aekea] the ground here has been noted to contain specemins of bones of Cerexi.
It is here, in a clsoed-off area, work is done to recover the bones, to allow them new life. This small patch is staff only, or very few allowed by Mintaka to delve in there.
Most people either are in the reception hall, the living quarters for those who need to stay - or want - and the outdoor region most of the Cerexi wander. The indoors is large enough to allow adult Cerexi in, but most prefer to be outdoors. The living quartrs, too, can accomidate the adults easily - this design was kept in mind due to the sometiems harsh weather conditions - heat and rain, as well as the occasional dust storms that tend to come by. The cerexi have a pretty large range of space outdoors to wander, but it is still somewhat contained, for the protection of both the naturla wildlife beyond and the Cerexi.
The Indoors
Indoors is a very subtle, natural place, despite the building being made fo steel and concrete. It's a very open design, with many windows and views out, with two wings extending off each side. When one goes left form entering, they will reach the closed research and development wing, which is staff only unless invited. The right leads to the living quarters, and people are allowed to take a room. Those wishing permanent residence need only mention so and arrangements will be made.
The decor is kept simple, but natural, disguising the construction of the building, and giving a very cozy and warm feeling. The skylights above help allow many plants to thrive indoors, and the furniture is a very comfortable weave of natural matierials and wood. Seating is arranged in groups, and a larger open area for indoor play.
The Outdoors
Aside a covered patio for the people to rest under - and a few Cerexi adults too - the rest of the outdoors aside the barrier is untouched, natural rocky, earthy desert here. The Cerexi enjoy it greatly, and a decent size Oasis near the compound also exists to play in. Since there's no fear of drowning, it's perfectly fine. The water, as well, is filtered for drinking, being the closest water source we have. Occasional shrubs and other desert flora to grow here, but they are sparse to say the least.
