It was the end of a rainy morning, and Dru was out looking for breakfast. Crow had left before he'd awoken.. so he guessed his mentor was already out hunting for himself. Sighing heavily, since he hated to be alone, Dru began the slow stalk around the stream. If all else failed he could catch some fish to eat.

(( xD Always after the rain...poor Starla. )) Shuttering, Starla stumbled along through the mucky woods, slipping and sliding on the newly made mud from the rain. It was a wonderous feat that she was standing at all, seeing as her body was shaking about so horribly. Her ears were flat on her head, pressing against her skull, as her violet eyes picked out the wetest spots around her and tried to work away from them. Desperately she tried to find somewhere dry, only to come upon a stream instead. She let out a sharp breath through clentched teeth, almost falling backward in a attempt to get away from the sudden appearance of the small stream.

Dru's ears lifted at the sudden sound, glancing towards its source. Maybe it was Crow, coming to help him hunt after all...?
"... Crow?" He dropped his nose low to the ground, sniffing as he slowly made his way towards the sound. His head snapped up, ears standing straight. "..You're not Crow..."

Starla snapped her head around to see Dru, jumping backward. Her feet slid in the mud and she slipped about, trying to regain her balance and look threatening at the same time. However, her main worry was NOT falling. She did not want to get wet...she couldn't get wet again today. Finally standing still, her limbs should slightly with anxiety. She grimaced at the other wolf, not up to growling at the moment.

Dru blinked, watching the 'dance' of the water avoider with slight amusement.
"...Hi." He took a few more steps and sat, tail curling around his feet. He tilted his head, one ear flopping forward. "Are you.. okay?" She looked awefully funny like that, was the mud that bad?

Starla glared at him. Did it LOOK like she was ok?! With all this water everywhere! She shook her head, taking a careful step back, making sure her paw wouldn't slip. What was with this young male...what was with EVERYONE? Everyone always harassed her about the water...it was their own fault they weren't aware how dangerous it was!

Dru winced at the glare he received, ears flicking backwards slightly. "I suppose that was a no.. hm??" He stood up, creeping closer. "Do you need some help getting out of the muddy places?"

Starla watched him suspiciously. Yet, she wanted to jump. Slowly she asked, "Y-you know somewhere dry?" Her voice quivered pleadingly, though she tried to keep it sharp and uncaring. But oh how she wanted to be away from the water. She'd do anything to get away.

Dru nodded, offering a wolf-grin. He looked around the bank where they stood, plotting a course through the dry patches on the ground.
"Stay put," He trotted through the mud into the grassy area, grabbing a mouth full of dried out patches and returned to Starla. He then laid them in a path beside her- returning to the grass to get more until there was a dry bridge created. "... there. Follow me."

Starla watched him go off with mistrust, only to see him return with grass. Wha the...? What was he doing? She stared at him as he began to lay out the dray grasses in a path and finally finished so that she could walk along them without getting wet. At this point her eyes were wide with awe, her stiff attitude momentarily gone. She walked slowly along the path, testing it out and then almost smiled as she followed him, feeling as if a weight had been lifted off her back.

[ *adds Dru's adult pic up* XDD.. i didnt know he grew ;D ]
Dru navigated through the grass, making sure there were no wet area's where water might have gathered after the storm. He took them to the higher ground, where the rocks began to collect. This was near his mentors den, so it was all dry except a few puddles were water collected for drinking here and there in the rocks.
"I think this is a good place," Dru stopped and turned around. "It's pretty dry all around here. Is this better?"

(( =O He's smexy. *throw's in Starla's true pic* xD )) Starla followed him, feeling more at ease then she had in days. For some reason it had been very wet this week, causing her nerves to be shot almost 24-7. Why this wolf was going to such great lengths to help her, she didn't know, but she was relieved he did. Seeing the rocks, she bounded upon onto them and flopped down onto a dry stop, letting out a long breath she didn't know she had been holding. Lifting her head slightly, she turned her violet gaze onto the male, smiling just a little, "Y-yes...oh..yes...thank you..."

[ XD!! ty, she's pretteh! so many stripes 0.0 ]
Dru walked over to join her, sitting a few feet to offer her a comfortable amount of space. The rocks were warm from the sun soaking into them, so he flopped down as well.
"No problem, you seemed really unhappy back there." He rolled a little, peering at her from where he was laying. "You don't like to be wet or muddy, hmm?"

Starla's ears fell back in slight irratation at the question. Wasn't it obvious she disliked it? She let out a breath through her nose, trying her best to be civil and nice...especially since he had helped her out, "Yes...I don't like water." She hoped she wouldn't be questioned further, but that was probably not going to happen. Everyone asked her in detail about it...why should he be different?

Dru rolled onto his back, tucking his feet against his tummy. "It doesn't bother me that much- I met my first friend at the stream." Seeing how she was getting irritated again, Dru changed the subject. "Have you ever seen the white rain? It's not much like rain really.. more like.. the clouds falling.. and it's cold."
