Enzo had worried that he was and the student had come and gone already. The ex-priest had awoken late (or so he thought) and was in a hurry to arrive to his classroom where he would teach his very first student. The man had taken a while to get used to his surroundings before he began to check any rosters for children that needed guidance in the way of Spirituality. He managed to snag one student and couldn't help but notice that the child had a teacher in the same field. For a moment the ex-priest worried that the teachings might conflict.
No guts no glory.
As it turned, however, out his alarm clock was set for the the wrong time and he had gotten there much too early. So now the man was reclined against his chair and was idly napping and waiting.

O U R A D V E N T U R E
Slythor walked alongside his father. It was the first time his father had taken an interest in what the classes were like. Well, he was a parent he`d like to see what they were teaching his son. After all, he wouldn't want his son being taught to do bad things like kill people. No, that wasn't right, even if they were weak and hopeless. He sighed softly as he walked in. "Mr.Enzo?" He called out quietly. He hoped he was not walking into the wrong room. "I'm Slythor, for my spirituality class?" He asked calmly.
Zephyr watched his child walk, thinking about how small the boy was when he first got him. He never thought he'd have these thoughts at his age. After all, he was still quite a young person. He sighed softly. Maybe it was just work making him feel old. It seemed his employers had decided to increase the amount of kids he was to see. Ah well. He would pray to the Lord for strength, and all would be well. He walked into the room with his son, looking around curiously.

Enzo started lightly out of his nap and blinked as he dazedly looked around for a moment looking sheepish once the realization had dawned upon him that had been caught napping on the job as it were. He quickly stood up and gave a small formal bow, "Ah! There you are," the ex-priest said cheerfully as he moved forward. The man still wore his robes even though he had long ago left his church.
"I am indeed Enzo Brandt and welcome to class," he said calmly, "I assume you are the guardian?" The question was directed at Zephyr.
((Forgive that I am using the wrong mule for this but it seems I briefly forgot the password and now got locked out of the account trying to get into it. XD))

Slythor nearly snorted at the sight of seeing the teacher sleeping. No teacher should be sleeping on the job. He felt as if he had lost respect for the teacher, but he wasn't gpong to say that. He was too good to point and laugh. "Thank you for welcoming me." He stated simply. "How'll we start?"
Zephyr nodded calmly. "I don't plan to interferre. I'm just curious to see what my son is taught. If needed, I'll just find a seat where I wont be of any trouble. You can pretend I'm not here if you like." He stated simply, not wanting to be a bother to the man. As a guardian he had no right to be invading this lesson, but his curiously was a fault of his, he admitted it.

It didn't help that the ex-priest didn't look or seem impressive or powerful enough to teach anything dealing in the matter of the Spiritual Arts. All the same he was the one in charge of the classroom. The ex-priest nodded to the Guardian with a smile, "Feel free to get comfortable and observe. You can even sit in my seat, if you like." He didn't seem to mind giving up his former perch as he now had a job to do.
He looked upon Slythor and chuckled a bit, "We shall begin your lesson with a quick review. What do you know of the Spiritual Arts?"

"Uhm... they're awesome and take effort to do?" Slythor asked. If he knew anything about the subject then he would be lying. He knew nothing about the subject and he hated to admit it so. However this was a fact he could not simply brush off and so he allowed himself to show a fault this time.
Zephyr took s seat in the corner to the room, watching his child in a almost anxious manner.

Enzo nodded slightly as he chuckled, "Indeed this is true, and so we shall establish where your skills lie. What element do you feel most comfortable with? Where I come from there are four basic elements which branch off into yet other more complex once. The four each beginner learns are: Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind."

"Well,, I like Earth..." Slythor commented. He always loved the thought of throwing huge boulders, ripping the world in two and God knows what else. That would be fun! He could block any attacks with stones, and fling them at people. He could move the earth to make a quick escape if need be. That would be awesome. He could be like superman.

"If that is what you feel suits you best, then we shall go with it," he said with a firm nod, "now, repeat after me: Guardians of the Earth, I sign myself over to you." the line seemed corny and weird to have to say but Enzo seemed to be very serious about this line of direction.
"Be aware you are only saying this phrase to awaken the spirits of the Earth to your presence and becoming as 'family'," he explained quietly, "as the words are said you may feel a small tingle or some other minor effect but it is not harmful."

The boy stifled a laugh. Was he serious about this? "Ok. Fine. Guardians of the Earth, I sign myself over to you." He stamped his hoof once. It felt funny. He missed Blue. He had to leave the bird overnight at the vet today. Someone had decided it was a good idea to fire a pea-shooter at him. Stupid little kids.
"What now?" He asked quietly, feeling unimaginably stupid from saying something only said in little kid shows.

He nodded a bit. The man was very much aware of how silly it sounded but it needed to be said in order to raise the awareness of the spirits. Enzo waved for the boy to follow him, "Now, we go outside. We could practice some magic in here but there is too much in the way between us and the earth within this building." The ex-priest said with a quiet sigh.
Enzo opened the door and wandered out of it, since he must lead the way. He of course awaited Slythor and his guardian (in case he wanted to also come and witness).
