Season Announcements:Rules: - No two people can pick the same driver for the same race. - Only race picks go in this thread as of June 18, 2009. - We will use EST to make sure everything is done right. (Eastern Standard Time) - No mules - Once you've made your pick, you cannot change it, otherwise you will be penalized. - If your driver/driver's team takes a penalty for the race weekend, you will share in that penalty. - If you think you lost points unfairly for something your driver did away from the race track, let me know and we will figure something out. - Post your picks in the thread so everyone can see them. - You can pick the same driver as many times as you would like throughout the season. -Driver selection will be on a first come first serve basis. - Don't forget to post the race you selected your driver for to ensure that there's no confusion. - The unlucky dog pick will be given to the person with the worst finish in the previous race. Pick time for the unlucky dog person will be anytime from 12:00 am eastern time on monday, to the regular pick time of 9:00 pm eastern time on tuesday when everyone else will be allowed to pick. - Be a good sport. - Boogity boogity boogity! Lets go racin' boys!!! -Alright, in order to encourage more people to join. The winner of each race will recieve 2000 Gold for each win. On top of that, we will pay 6000 to whoever gets the lowest average finish out of their picks in the All-Star and Bud Shootout. - I want to wish everyone a great and strong season, we had a great one last year and we should look forward to a great one this year! - Once you make your first pick of the season, you will be added into our points system and tallied up with everyone else throught out the season. wahmbulance NOTE: Pick times start on Tuesday at 9pm to ensure that they are time appropriate and end the day before the race. So if the race is on sunday, you have until saturday to make your pick, and if the race is saturday, then you must make your pick by friday.Triple Homicide Automatic Picks During the season, everyone is entitled to one automatic pick during the regular season after they have made picks in no less than 5 races. Automatic picks will be given should someone either forget to make a pick, or be too busy during a week to come make their pick. Guidelines: - If you use an automatic pick, your pick will be last regardless of the unlucky dog rule. - Anyone using an automatic pick will get the highest placed driver in NASCAR Cup Series points who has not been picked by someone in the NAMG Cup Series. - If more than one person uses an automatic pick in the same week, the person highest in NAMG points who uses an automatic pick will get the highest placed driver in NASCAR Cup Series points who has not been picked. The second highest placed person in NAMG points who uses an automatic pick will get the second highest placed driver in NASCAR Cup Series points who has not been picked. This will continue until all eligible NAMG competitors have their automatic picks completed. - Only one automatic pick will be given per season during the first 26 races. - Automatic picks will NOT be allowed during the final 10 race chase. What if something happens to my main account and I cant use it to make a pick? I redid one of my old mules to use as backup. I know other players have mules that they have used. Any questions or ideas, let me know. wahmbulance We are doing the all star just like we did last year. You pick one driver for the open and 3 for the main. Whoever has the lowest avg. will win the gold. You CAN pick the same driver as someone else although you cannot pick the same 4 drivers as someone else.

Discussions of the weekly races and what happened.
As of: DAYTONA(Bud Shootout)
Paul Menard started on pole and wound up 12th, a great start to the season, these drivers learned a lot for the 500 next week. Kevin Harvick wins with a late last lap pass.
As of: DAYTONA
Matt Kenseth gives Roush his first DAYTONA 500, after Truex Jr. won the pole. The big wreck was triggered by Dale Jr and Brian Vickers getting together going down the backstretch and into turn 3.
As of: California
A great race that endedMatt Kenseth and Jeff Gordon fighting and with Matt Kenseth being only the 4th driver ever to win the first 2 races of the season. Only 1 caution was waved for a driver affiliated incident when Kevin Harvick wrecked. All other cautions were from rain.
As of: Las Vegas
Kyle Busch gets the win in his hometown after winning the pole but starting 39th. This race was plagued by engine difficulties most from Roush with 3 of the 5 cars blowing up. Also the record was broken for the most cautions in a Las Vegas race.
As of: Atlanta
A great start to the 2009 season by Kurt Busch has finally resulted in a victory. Kurt dominated this race leading the most laps. Besides a light scrape in the wall off turn 2, he ran a flawless race with great pit stops.
As of: Bristol
Kyle Busch will win for the first time at the same track. Through 13 wins, he had no multiple wins at a single track. A great race with different drivers up front.

Jimmie Johnson Shuns Denny Hamlin from his first victory in one year this race. Hamlin led the most laps and ended up second for the second week in a row.

Penalties[Triple Homicide] To all... I've been talking to Dark Minion and we've agreed that someone needs to take charge of rule infractions and penalties, and I'm going to take on that responsibility. The reason I think we need someone to police this is partly because of the talk over rule changes, ideas to make up rules as we go, confusion, and the recent debocal with Queen Melethia Dagon's pick for the Coke 600. Anyway, for the Coke 600, Queen Melethia Dagon chose a driver for the race who was already chosen by Pearlgirl9. Once she found out after the race, these are the posts I saw in the pool thread. Queen Melethia Dagon scream WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME MY PICK WAS INVALID! I COULD HAVE MADE A DIFFRENT PICK! I go for one week pulling for Jimmie....only to find out today that I ******** up!? Not fair guys. I slip up and no one tells me that I did. Queen Melethia Dagon Soultrain We mentioned it on Wednesday. Didn't you check the thread? Anyway... Kurokage Sanada83 I think that for at least this season if anyone picks the same driver as someone else and they don't change it by raceday, then they get docked half the points of where the driver finishes. For this weekend though i think we should make an exception because i don't think Queen Melethia dagon realized we did the monday thing so if the pick isn't changed by sunday i think a 25 point penalty is appropriate. It sounds like we'll let you have the pick, just with a penalty. That's better than nothing.
I'm more mad at myself than anything else.Penalty: 1- Zero points for picking the same driver as Pearlgirl5. 2- 50 point penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. The fact that "not much happens here besides what happens Sunday-Tuesday" is no excuse for not checking to make sure your pick is legal. I remind everyone that this is meant to be a friendly competition, and running one's mouth inspite of the rules laid out at the beginning of the season is just not nice, and unfair to everyone else. Special treatment shouldn't be expected, however I in no way mean to make anyone feel bad. I just want the rules to be followed to prevent any confusion and feelings of malice towards each other. Finally, the rules are posted on the first page of this thread. All you have to do is read them. I know this probably sounds cold, but I think we really do need some stablity with rules.
