I didn't see the special confidential episode revealing who the eleventh doctor is because I live in Australia. I've been trying to find it all over the internet but no one's updated the sites this fast and I'm DESPERATE to know who it is!!! Someone who lives in the UK and saw confidential who knows for sure who the definite eleventh doctor is PLEEEEEEASE tell me ASAP!!!!!!!

He's not as cute as David Tennant but he is quite a good actor and I can see how he could work as the doctor. I'm still dubious though.

I'm not really happy but it could have been lots, lots worse Thats how people always feel when it's first announced, it's how I was with David and Chris but trust me you'll warm to him eventually, I have, I rekon he'll be fantastic and I'm looking forward to it. Although, I can see why the ladies are a bit dissapointed what with him not being as much eye candy as Mr. Tennant

He's not the new David Tennant, so he can play the Doctor in whatever way suits him best. And yeah, it could have been so much worse. (Joan Rivers, anyone?)

I don't think people should judge yet.
So far, we have NEVER had a Doctor that did not bring something unique and wonderful to the man we love. This guy is young, yes; so was Peter Davison. But this makes it all the more fantastic, as it shows the vast ranges of a man the Doctor can be.
And to be honest, who here thinks they could play the Doctor better? Matt Smith is probably great. Give him a chance peoples. People said Tennant would be crap too.

Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat have done a fine job so far, so I'm prepared to trust in their judgement. I will, of course, have to see Doctor 11 in action before I'm entirely convinced. I was pretty sure it was going to be Paterson Joseph, who would have been a very good choice, but when they started talking about the youngest actor, that kinda fell by the wayside.
I've just finished reading "The Writer's Tale", and I've come away with a whole new level of respect for the people working on the show. I trust you - don't let us down now...
