i invited lots of people tonight but two already said they don't post in guilds. i'm totally understanding of that. guilds are not for everybody. but why can't i seem to find people who like posting in guilds and being active guildies? maybe i just have bad luck at this kind of thing...

It can be really hard to find an active guild that you like the look of.
The only reason I don't is because I don't really want to have totrawl through the guild registary looking for a good guild.

It's probably just bad luck. That and, when there's nothing to say, it's hard to say stuff.

Oh, how I love to read those words.

Maybe people don't like being confined to such a small area to talk in, or just feel intimidated when they join because we are all going on with inside jokes and jolly business and they can't really get a word in.

I agree. I've had more than one perosn complain about the thickness of our inside jokes.

i've heard them too... for a while it was all people here who knew each other in person though, so it did make it difficult. but now should be different a bit since we don't see each other every day anymore.

That's not the only cause of it though. I mean I never knew Wingo before TLS and we have plenty of inside jokes. Also, despite the distance, our jokes still prevail.

I was one of the few who made the effort to post when I first joined. I can say from the other side it was a bit intimidating at first, but you lot are a likeable enough bunch after a while razz

Ah, I remember the days when the guilds were active. I was once a very active member of The Slytherin's Guild, before the horrible speechless plague settled in. Maybe it has something to do with the lack of AWESOME BOOK SERIES that crazes fans together? *scratches skull*

I've been apart of this guild since Shadow-Elven Mage invited me. -^^- I miss her muchly. *hug*

What has happened to TI? I haven't had a domination war with her for a while. I miss her wit. Because guilds have such a small user group (relatively) it doesn't take many of the more active ones to drop out and make the guild dead. This particular one seems to have lost most of its top posters such as myself, mooby, jeoc, TI, hyper, etc. Some of us return, others never do. Life and commitments tend to get in the way as you get older. Its been several years since I first joined. I used to have plenty of time to post, but nowadays I have next to none. I've moved out of home, moved interstate and back, going to uni, holding down a steady job and it leaves me with little time to catch up with old friends. I've missed the people here, and that is why I am making the effort to try and catch up with everyone again. If only more people would, we could have the old guild back.

Blossom, is it possible to send out a PM to all of the old members saying "We miss you and want you back?"

I know that for me, the workload of 2 full-time jobs plus an overly addicting hobby, which is my main source of sanity and social interactions, take up most of my time.

Mooby is in med school.

TI is in AUSTRALIAN med school.

I know! Wouldn't it be great to be in Australian Med School? Australian doctors in training... I could live there.

I have moved out of my parent's house at last, which will be new to Shadow. I live on my own now and work at a Little Caesars full time, lol. The reason why I'm not on all the time is because my parents have my laptop at their house, so I either have to wait another two weeks to use it, or borrow my friend's. ^^;
