Naya yawned lazily, paws dragging as she walked slowly through the tall grass. She was tired, that was certain, and lonely. She hadn't run into a soul all day, and she'd gotten used to having company, even if it was only for an hour or so. She sighed, ears twitching a little bit at the sudden sound of rustling nearby. Her eyes shot in that direction, both worried and anxious at the same time. The cheetah femme hoped whoever it was wasn't hostile, and if she was lucky the wouldn't mind some company for a while. She moved so her whole body was facing the source of the noise, then took a seat. Naya watched the spot carefully, her head tilting a little, tail swaying gently behind her. With a sigh she frowned a little, since nothing came out immediately, so she thought she might be able to coax it out into the open, in case whatever it was was shy. "Hello?" she called, her voice as gentle as she could make it.

Naya's smile widened when an orange leopard's head popped out from the very spot she heard the rustling. He seemed interesting, she noted, when he answered her call the way he did. "Not exactly," she answered with a giggle. "But I'm glad I'm not going crazy. I was more scared that there wasn't anything there, actually." He sounded a little bored, which made her frown a little, but she figured she could get him to cheer up. And if not...well, it was still company, whether there was a pleasant conversation involved or not. "I'm Naya, by the way. Did I interrupt you from doing something? Sorry, if I did.."

"Oh..uhm...thanks," she answered him shyly, though with a smile. She wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but she was too busy being happy about having found company to really care all that much. "And that's good to know." Her smile came back, but seems the time alone left her at a loss for words. She really had no idea what subject to start a conversation with, so an awkward silence followed. The femme cleared her throat, eyes examining the leopard curiously. "So were you just out relaxing?" she finally asked, a little frustrated that her mind had gone blank. She didn't let it show though, and she kept on smiling.

The wink confused her, but only slightly. "I know how that feels," came her reply, thinking back to those days that her family frustrated her. She'd go off for a good part of the day, sometimes even two, just so she wouldn't go insane. "Everybody needs their time alone." She was pretty tired of being alone though, so that last bit came out as almost a sigh. She thought about his question, then shrugged. "A bit of both, actually. I was half-looking for company too," she answered, smiling sweetly at him. "So what's your name? I'm not sure I caught it.."

A charmer, she figured, her sanity slowly coming back to her. She wasn't used to it, but she'd be lying if she said that she didn't like it. It wasn't everyday that someone found her attractive, or at least was so open about it. Her smile only widened. "Ah, it's Naya. Nice to meet you, and um...thanks...again." Naya wasn't sure how to reply, as she wasn't to being complimented so much. Usually a simple thank you was enough, but it was one after the other with this one, so it was a bit...different. "You're pretty handsome yourself.." she said, almost awkwardly, though still with a genuine smile.

"I hardly ever say it, to be honest," she said with a soft laugh of her own. "But then I'm not complimented on my looks all that much either, so I thought I should return the favor." Naya shifted a little where she sat, just to get a bit more comfortable. She was also trying to think of what to talk about next, since their current topic seemed to have come to a halt. While she sat in thought, she yawned a little bit, only noticing just then that she was more than a little tired from her walk. "Ah, sorry," she apologized, smiling sheepishly at her new company. "I guess I'm a little more tired than I thought. Do you know a good place to rest around here?" she asked, looking around for some sort of shelter. "I'm not comfortable sleeping out in the open.."

A tree wasn't entirely safe, but with company it wouldn't be all that bad. That is, if he was willing to stick around. She hoped he was, anyway. "Well, it's better than nothing," she said with a smile. "I wouldn't feel all that safe though, if I were there alone. Would you mind hanging around with me for a little bit when we get there?" She wouldn't usually ask, actually, but she really didn't want be alone, so she would avoid it for as long as she could. And he seemed nice enough, so there was a chance that he'd agree to stay.
