*I will not scare her or anything like that. I will not go out of my way to make her happy. I will let her be and if she comes to me I will not be harsh but I am not going to go to her again.* Putting it in blunt terms just what she felt.

Savith nodded. It was enough, for now. And so, the glider turned to recline against the pool's edge again, turning his eyes to the sky and letting that familiar little frown danceto his features as his own darker thoughts came back to him.

Glad that was over Autumn looked up at the streking sky as night was starting to push its way in. *So who is she?* Her mind was peeked now by the mysterious female. Waiting for his grumpy responce.

Odd, how the shaper knew just what was on his mind. He'd known other shapers like that. The frown deepened, and he allowed only a single thought to drift free before sealing his mind away again. **Lifemate,** was the word, but it cared a weight far greater than merely a bonding of lives. In that heartbeat of contact, in that single word, was bound up a minagery of memory, feeling, and thought that it was impossible to pick out any thing amid the symphony. It simply had to be taken all together and at once that this elfess held more than heart, life, and mind.

It was almost to much for her mind to take in. The bond so much deeper then anything she ever knew. Her mind reeled for just a moment but as he shut it quickly she recovered swiftly. *She must have some tight grip on your throat.* The send not prying or looking for information. Just stating what she felt.

The statement earned a sneer pairs with a near growl, as Savith turned his head to give Autumn an icy narrow-eeyed glare. **Don't,** was all his mind was able to come up with. The word was red and black around the edges, anger fuelling it. At his side, a hand balled into a fist. Breath was taken in a snake-hiss of sound through slightly bared teeth.

His reaction made her blink and pull away. *I... I'm sorry.* She wondered bout this female. Yes she wanted to know more but didn't dare push him any further.

Savith's sneer was slow to fade, as was his aggitation now, but he pulled it away from the shaper, turning it in on himself. As he turned his eyes from her, they alighted upon his things on the pool's edge. The sneer faded, replaced by a darkly thoughtful quirk of his brow. He brought a hand up, and his shiny, brightmetal dagger rocketed from its sheath and into his hand, even as the other came up from the water and wound itself up in a thick lock of hair at the side of his head.

Gasping Autumn was unsure what he was going to do. *My Chief what are you doing?* Her voice conserned. Her body became tense and ready to fight the knife away as best she could if need be.

Savith sneered again, not in the mood for any more questions. The knife came up and in a flash of brightmetal, the offending lock was shorn from his head and flung with a thought away from him and out to sea until his mind could no longer keep a hold of the clump of strains. As it sailed away, he reached for another lock, and repeated the process. Again and again until the sides were chopped super short near his scalp while the top was uneven and fell in random length chunks. Rouch cut done, he tossed teh dagger onto his things and dunked under to rinse off the clippings, and held his breath to stay under, feeling the weightlessness without the strain, enjoying the mind silence, and all but willing himself to believe he was back in Blue Mountain, bathing in the Grotto's pool his father had shaped, home from a very long and taxing hunting season, and was cleaning up before heading to nest and mate.

Stunned was her face as she watched him remove his hair. Then he went under. She just sat and watched and waited for him to come up. Never touching his mind but leaving hers open to him should he want to say something.

Savith stays under as long as he can, until in his daydream, his mind moved to reach for his mate's. Joy might feel it, the openning of mind to send to another, only for it to be forcibly jerked closed, body jerking as violently as he sat himself up straight out of the water, and panted heavily.

Almost not wanting to but needing to be sure her mind reaches out to his. *My Chief. Are... Are you alright?*

Savith's mind openned to reply, but silence came forth as the first thought that formed shattered within his mind as he knew it would have been a lie to his core. No, no he wasn't fine, but, **I will be,** he stated, the thought clearly a shared continuation of his own silent conversation. His head felt lighter. The wind brushed his ears and the back of his neck. He shuddered lightly at the sensation, bringing a hand up to run through what was left of his once nearly knee-length locks.

*Do you need the healer?* She wasn't convinced he would be fine anytime soon. Yes in time but for now she wondered. Watching him feel his head and neck she smiled slightly. *It's all gone. You must feel lighter and naked without it.* Her mind trying hard to bring a better mood back.

**Lighter,** he repeted, shaking his head a the question of a healer.

She reached a hand out but pulled it back. He was still different from her. She still saw the High One that saved her from death. To good for her touch and so her hand came to rest on her own thigh and she looked at nothing. *Just wait till the cold comes and frosts your ears for you.*

Savith snorts,**That's what my cloak is for.**

His mood seemed spoiled and Autumn didn't wnt to end up fighting with him again. With a light sigh she stood. *I will leave you to your thoughts My Chief. I hope they are better company at the moment.*

**Probably not, but have a good evening, Shaper,** Savith replied, pushing himself up to float out of the wate rto dry adn dress.

Giving him a backwrd glance Autumn just sent the feeling of being there should he have need of her. A slight consern floated along with the send that she tried to cover but still it tngled with the send. That done she walked off. Her red hair like fire in the evening light.

Savith didn't reply. He merely pushed the water from himself, pulled on his flight suit and flew straight up for some hang time.

Autumn made her way off slowly. Such an odd day this was. First Blaze ran off now Savith seemed angry about something from his past and
