On your way out of the exam room an employee hands you three Pokeballs. "Please continue to arena 2 in the park across the street. Your opponent will be Bugsy of Azalea. Thank you for participating in our test and good luck."

As you arrive at your designated arena you hear the last trainers score. "Not bad at all. 55. I recommend you practice up a little. You were a bit slow and battling more should help you to improve. Feel free to drop by the gym any time and challenge me. I look forward to it." One of Bugsy's students leads you forward into the arena. It might be your imagination but the grass almost looks taller in this arena than the others surrounding it.

A boy in grass green Khakis calls out from the other side of the Arena. "I'm Bugsy from Azalea town. I specialize in bug Pokemon and I'm looking forward to our match. When you're ready toss out your first Pokemon and we'll begin."

"Playing to my likes won't help your score. Much. Beedrill Go!" The ball hit the ground and immediately burst open. A Beedrill floated in the air back and forth looking unimpressed with its opponent. "Fury attack! Now!" Beedrill darted quickly forward ready to smash Metapod.

Bedrill who had backed away was covered in the sticky attack. It struggled to stay afloat with the goo sticking to its wings before being forced to land. It kept flapping its wings in an effort to clean them off. "Beedrill get into the air and use Fury cutter." Beedrill madly flapped its wings trying to get airborne again but the string shot was still sticking to it.

A hairline fracture that appeared during the initial onslaught could be seen glowing on the back of Metapod. Bugsy took notice immediately 'It might be evolving.' He thought to himself as the crack began growing and movement could be seen inside.

((OoC: Metapod is evolving. Once it evolves to Butterfree it will know confusion but not any other moves that Butterfree would learn in the future.))

Beedrill struggled to get the last of the glop off its wings. Just as it was getting off the ground it was struck by the psychic attack. Its body twitched as it was battered by the waves. Bugsy returned Beedrill before the attack was finished. "That was amazing. If you can keep that up all fight I'll have no choice but to give you a perfect score."

"Heracross Go!" he yelled flinging out his next pokemon. "Go ahead and switch yours so we can continue. I'm going to have to take it up a step if I'm going to keep up with you."

'This could be tricky' Bugsy thought to himself. The types were in favor of Murkrow slightly. "Okay Heracross. Brace yourself and stand by. I have a plan."

It wasn't what he planned but he could work with it. "Heracross, Bulk up. Looks like we have a standoff." Heracross tensed its muscles on the ground waiting for Murcrow to make its attack.

Heracross leaned forward bracing itself against the wind. Bugsy gritted his teeth. This wasn't going well. He would have to make some action of his own. "Heracross we have to get closer. Leap up and pin them with Areial Ace." Heracrosses wing covers flipped open is it leap into the air trying to grapple Murkrow.
