The sound of heavy hooves on the road broke the early morning silence. The morning birds had only begun to sing back and forth to one another, darting from branch to branch and waddling along the mist covered ground in search of worms that had taken advantage of the damp topsoil during the night. Pulling from the fog came the form of a massive dappled warhorse- gray as the fog but as stern as any stone. Trinkits of all sorts rang out from the draiped cloak over the steed, the rider sat bareback, holding to the mane of the horse rather than any kind of harness. Gabriel was dressed more formally than normal and had a bit more of a stern expression. Gillian sat backwards between the horse's neck and his guardian's lap, dozing quietly in Gabriel's arm. He had been dressed accordingly as well- thicker clothing for the weather.
"I am sorry, my child...", he said quietly, looking down with a soft but regretable smile.

Yukito was gathering plants into pots to bring inside, the ones that wouldn't survive winter outside. It had been a long job that he had been slowly working on of late but he realized that the ground was getting harder and he was running out of time. He only had a couple more to repot luckily and bring inside of the mansion where they would be warm and safe.
The sound of hoof beats drew his attention away from the task at hand and he looked up at the one that was coming towards the mansion. It took him a moment to recognize him then his eyes went wide, it was Gil's protector. He brushed his hands off on his pants and moved to see what was going on, a curious expression on his face.

The elf looked up slowly, smiling to the young boy attending to the flowers- most of which he had planted and cared for himself. Good thing they had someone addressing the situation of leaving them out. Strange to meet him here at such an hour.
The steed came to a stop, stomping a heavy hoof in the ground as it did so. Gabriel gave a polite bow of his head. "Young Master Yukito... just the young gentlemen I washoping to see."
Gillian stirred with a yawn, carefully tilting his head back and parting his lazy eyes.

Yukito gave him a smile, "Its good to see you again." He said then tilted his head to the side, "You were looking for me?" He asked then a look of worry came onto his face, "Ah, Gil isn't sick again is he?" His tail started to flick back and forth. His potions were inside but he could easily run up to the clinic and get them if they were needed.

"No no no..." Gabriel shook his head slowly, "I... my presence is required by my homeland. A great war is about to envoke and my efforts could be greatly appreciated... my family did belong to a line of strategist back in the day. I will try to keep my visit short, but a warring realm is no place for a child... I would be most grateful if you would care for him.... or direct me to someone who can. I am not firmilar with this realm."

Yukito nodded his head after hearing all that he had said agreeing with him completely, "Ahh. Yes, I would be glad to look after Gil for you." He said with a smile, how hard could it be? He had looked after children before at home and made friends with a lot of the younger ones here so he should be fine. As for his mother she would understand after he explained it all to her her was sure so he didn't really worry on that. He was more worried for Gil's father having to go somewhere so dangerous.

"I wish there was another way, but I am an old one- and very few that can read some of the ancient texts... I will return as soon as I am able. It shant be long." He lifted Gillian up, the boy's face becoming very sad quickly- he wasn't stupid in the least, every word was understood. "Now now... you must be strong. Remember what I taught you, son. I will return and-" He poked the boy's nose playfully, "If you're goodI I shall even return with a little gift for you. My homeland is a wonderious place, A favor will be indebted for my services.
Gillian nodded slightly. Clinging to Gabriel.
The elf smiled, patting the boy on his head before handing him down to Yukito. "The both of you are welcome into the manner if need be. All that Gillian can need is there."

Yukito took Gil from the man, hugging him close and gave a smile, "Thank you and I will take good care of him until you get back. You needn't worry." He figured that the man would no doubt want to keep his thoughts on his work ahead instead of worrying on Gil's saftey... not that a parent wouldn't worry none the less but Yukito hoped to help and assure him the most that he could even though he was still a child himself.

Gillian whimpered a bit, buring his face into Yuki's shoulder, hiding his face for the moment. He'd never been without his guardian for more than a few days. It was a bit difficult to think of being without him for a while.
Gabriel handed down a small bag, "His... spare clothing. I will bring something to you in return as well, young master." He smiled, bowing his head a bit, "Again, I thank you."
He rounded the stallion about and spoke a strange elfin word. The creature neighed and galloped off, kicking up earth behind its heavy hooves.
Gillian peeked out waving a small hand after his 'father'.

Yukito liftedhis hand to take the bag his hand and tail holding Gil to his chest and he nodded his head, "Thank you." He told the man watching him as he rode off then looked down at Gil, "Would you like to go inside? Aylee doesn't mind everyone going in and out and we can find some breakfast then sit in one of the livingrooms. Its much warmer inside." He told the smaller Sin'aeis boy with a smile.
He waited for Gabriel to be out of site before he turned to head inside. He didn't want to risk Gillian getting a cold.
