Kojiro smiled to himself as he gazed at the sky. Judging by it, it would be some time before the sun rose. Plenty of time to get a head start toward his next destination. He had just finished his meditation and was packing up his things. Not like he had much to begin with. In his younger years he was taught only to carry the necessities, that anything else he needed could be bought, traded for or earned.

Currently he was gathering his things together to put in a wind bubble that he would surround by a water bubble to keep them safe as he traveled. There was only one thing missing, rope.

He gazed at his assembled possessions, few though they were they still needed tied together. Some food, a blanket, pillow, cup, bowl and utensils, along with a few scrolls and books in a waterproof leather satchel.

"This is....a..dilemma...indeed." His voice, deep and soft, was often spoken in a slow pace that was often mistaken to mean it Kojiro was dull. In truth it was the opposite for he thought before he spoke.

Akoi was laying on the sand by the beach, his tail soaking in the water as he laid against a rock. "she's late, sis is probably not coming now that she has a boyfriend." He sighed and blew a bubble, then popped it. It was then that he looked over and noticed that someone else was nearby, with a bunch of random stuff. Being the curious fish that he was, he couldn't help but take a closer look so he swam over. "interesting place to get ready for a trip."

So he sat down, gazing at his possessions as thoughts and ideas flashed in his mind one by one, only to be discarded. It was obvious he needed rope or something akin to it, so that he may tie his things together. But it seemed nothing of the sort was around. It was possible to keep the items together by the use of his wind ability but he couldn't keep them together for his entire journey.

As he contemplated what to do, he formed a water ball in his hands, rolling it from one hand to the next calmly. From one to two balls it split, where he rolled them in one hand like medicine balls. This he kept up till he felt his ears twitch.

Someone was nearby he could tell by the sound of splashing water. A creature of the water it seemed. Softly he smiled to himself. His big ears weren't just for looks. Without turning around softly he spoke, "Good Morn to you, ....water creature. By... what.. name... do i... call... this sudden... companion... of the predawn?"
PostPosted: Fri Jan 02, 2009 5:08 pm

Seagulls drifted along in the air, gliding lazily in the predawn glow. Nothing was visible but ocean, sky, and rosy light to the groups of birds. A few stragglers began speeding up, squawking in surprise. A burst of wings, and a shadow descended on the otherwise peaceful landscape, and the group of gulls retreated hastily, beating wings and raucous calls trailing behind.

"Auugh!! Slow down, Krissy!!" Came a shrill, fright--filled voice, exploding across the sky. As the shape came into view-- a masked ferret clutching to a winged, haloed, raccoon-- the cry grew louder.

Krissy nodded briskly, acknowledging her brother's request, but kept going rather than stopping, or even slowing her pace. Instead she called down to the ferret clutching her ankles, "If I slowed down, it would be most impractical. Your weight would become unbearable, and we would both plummet." Her voice sounded even and calm, despite the fact that she was shouting into the wind. She wheeled around, avoiding another startled gull, and beat her wings strongly.

'Bu-Buuuutt-" the ferret's sentence turned into a scream, only to be cut off by the sharp turn.

The angel-raccoon sighed softly, slowly only a couple paces, to say with an oddly comforting edge to her usually flat, unemotional voice, "Martin.... Trust me." With an odd noise that sounded like something in between a gag and a squeal-- the closest thing to a laugh she could muster-- she sped up once more.

The shadow of the two slid over the floating shell.

Out of the corner of her eye, Krissy caught sight of the odd shape in the middle of the ocean. She slowed involuntarily, wanting a better view of the odd shape.

"Krissy what are you-"

The end of the question never got past Martin's mouth as the momentum of Krissy's flight was lost, and the pair began to fall.

[sorry if it's too long ^~^;; Also, is the seashell on the beach, or in the ocean? I'll edit it if I need to... ^~^; ]

"My name is Akoi. I..." No sooner than he could finnish his sentance, he looked over and saw some thing coming towards him. He turned and watched as to objects seemed to fall out of the sky.

(I think we're on the beach Falina but I'm not too sure. i can do either one with my boy.)

He nodded once to himself as the water creature gave his name. "A...suiting...name....for a....water...being...Akoi....How...nice." Again he nodded, then slowly turned seeing the scene that was unfolding before him. "I...believe...you...have...company...Akoi..." He said as he turned back around to his packing dilemma.

It seemed to Kojiro he would have traveling companions. The young racoon girl, her brother and possibly the young Akoi as well. He hadn't expected it but it would be welcome to have some company.

(we are on a road by the beach. so akoi is on the beach and kojiro is on the road with no rope btw lol)

(yay... now we know where we are... )

Akoi looked over again and sighed. "I suppose I'll have to help them now, won't I. Otherwise my sister will flip." He swam over a little bit and looked over the crashed pair and poked them. "Hey, are you two... alive?" He tried to sound as if he cared but he didn't really care too deeply about much. He could pretty much tell his sister now wasn't coming to pick him up so he had nothing better to do except for hanging around these odd creatures. He was never much one for socializing, but it was something to do at least.

[ rofl ]

Krissy's eyes flew open as soon as the water creature began to approach. She was up and brandishing her weapon before he could react.
"Wise tactic," she spat, swinging the broadsword dangerously towards Akoi, "attack us whilst we recover from a fall." She lunged, eyes calm as ever, "Possible outcomes could be an ambush and thus successful fight," she paused, "or," the inhuman--sounding words were spat maliciously, and she added with an insane grin, "your targets awake, and you are dead." She brought the sword down.

[ Akoi can dodge, right?! >_> I'm not going killing anyones' pets here, people!]

Akoi was used to being attacked as his little brother Errinth chose to do it out of nowhere quite often. He dodged fairly easily. "Listen. I don't fight, it takes waaay too much effort, so you can go ahead and take a chill pill already. Actually, I just came over to see if you would need any help considering most drown after being tossed out of the air into the water. But if you're fine then that's less work for me." He shrugs and turns as if to swim away.

Kojiro's ears twitched at the sounds of fighting and he turned fully to watch. Partially it was interesting to watch while otherwise it was a waste of time. What was done fighting could twice easily be accomplished talking. Thus an idea came to mind.

"While I understand you are a young adult, currently you raccoon girl are behaving the likes of a child. What you accomplish with a sword can easily be accomplished with your mouth in the likes of words and nigh teeth in case you didn't get my point." It wasn't often Kojiro didn't pause in his speech to think but he had plenty enough time to form this small speech while the two were, well not quite arguing but interacting not so positively so to speak.

Having finished his words, quickly Kojiro changed tact, "Could...I..trouble..any..of...you...for some...rope?" And he was back to his usual slow though intelligent speech.

(omg! kojiro speek's in normal pace for once. lol. )

Krissy gave a slight twitch at the panda's words, and paced up to him, a scarily calm expression on her face.
"That... of a child?" The corners of her mouth twitched up slightly. "You really believe you can lay that judging hand on someone?" She raised her sword up, the tip supporting Kojiro's chin. She tilted her head. "Your point... What point?.. In this world, in the world I live, little can be accomplish with words alone. Dog eat dog. Fight or die." Her smile had by then widened. "But perhaps in the cushioned world that you might live in, this principle is unknown."

A worried expression formed on Martin's face. He rose, and murmured to Akoi, "I'm so sorry--my sister manages to start up a fight everywhere she goes," he paused, sighed, and added, "I just attempt to clean up the mess." He turned his head to Krissy and the worried expression furled his brow once more.

{{i filled in the blank for you Falina, Kojiro is a panda. Lady}}

Akoi shrugged and looked at Martin sympathetically. "I've got a younger brother who's got a sword too big for him and likes to atta...."

Before he could finnish his sentence Errinth, leaped out of seemingly nowhere and flashed his big sword. "I can hear an attack from miles away! Hey, you chick, You think you're all that, then let's have a go!"

Akoi sighed and rolled his eyes. "This might be trouble. He has absolutely no tackt. He only just got old enough to start being able to use that sword of his also." He turned to Kojiro. "You know, I think I saw some rope down the beach a bit. I could swim up and get it for you."

(Lol, he just lets his little brother pick fights. He just doesn't care like that. Errinth's a cat by the way, in case anybody is wondering.)

Kojiro didn't say anything as Krissy supported his chin with her sword. By her actions alone she proved she was a child. Raising his hand, slowly he moved her sword down to the ground pushing it a little into it causing it to stick. He was not afraid of her sword believing that his good karma would save him as well as those that he believed in.

"Young Lady..in your world perhaps there is this 'dog eat dog' concept..but imagine for but a moment, have you never wanted to just sit and listen as the wind as it caresses your face, watch the sakura blossoms fall on a cool spring day, sip some warm wine as the sun bids goodnight to all letting the stars come out to have their turn? Have you never wanted to just put down your sword and relax?" Gently he reached up and stroked one side of her face, "It saddens me when beautiful girls such as yourselves and handsome men have to bloody their hands and clothes for a cause though while noble, can be settled with less death but instead laughter and joy." He gazed into her eyes with such deep intensity that it can only be described as staring into one's soul, seeing all of ones secrets good and bad. Nothing nor no one could hide from that gaze even if they wanted to. A gaze that lasted only a moment and forever it seemed.

Slowly he turned to Akoi and shut his eyes as a soft breeze rolled in off the water. A breeze filled with the bite of cold air, the scent of salt and water and a scrap of mystery. "Yes...Akoi..that...would...be...lovely...thank..you."

(Even though he's gay Kojiro does appricate all kinds of beauty.)

"Feh..." Krissy muttered, dislodging her sword from the ground violently. Why must I always get stuck with the damn pacifists?... She wondered in a rare flash of emotion. This nonsense about wine and sakura blossoms, and all in that infuriatingly calm voice--and that stare. That god-damned stare! Her lips curled up in a snarl, but she said nothing. The thick-witted scum can't even talk properly, she thought to herself, and then the anger washed itself from her eyes. She was back to her regular, emotionless self. Well, I shall simply have to challenge someone to a match back at the dojo, the thought cheered her up somewhat. The idea of smashing a head or two in seemed appealing enough. She heaved a sigh and kicked the dust.

[O_o Funny that Kojiro's talking about her being immature, when she's the calmest, most mature of her family. (at least in their youth days... Now Doro's mellowed quite a bit.)]

Akoi swam off to get the rope and came back, throwing it onto the shore. It was rare that he would help someone out but it seemed that his curiousity was besting the desire to stay out of things. "Well, it seems like nothing exciting happened. Too bad, it could have made for something interesting at least. I hope the rope is useful to you."
