Hello everyone,
Here is a recent post from a yahoo group.
"Apparently the people from MTV have a martial arts reality project they are cooking up and need martialartists. Males and females between the ages of 18-25years of age. The show is called "Final Fu" those selected for the show compete against each other in not only sparring, but forms and weapons as well and also other "Tasks" similar to FearFactor or other Reality Shows. For more information go to www.finalfu.com or call 310 907-2681 to audition for the show."
With all the different forms of martial arts out there, it'll be interesting to see how they put this together. Personally, I don't care much for reality shows, but this one might be interesting.

Roth Kinda, but knowing MTV, they'll ******** it up some how Yeah, it'll become the new big brother. Just a piece of crap, which won't fair well for alot of martial art schools, and depending on how somepeople do, dfferetn martial art's will get more students just because some MTV guy is doing well.

Also, from what I hear from the topic blurb there, it sounds like they think the only aspect of martial arts is competition.
WRONG.

Lol, I could think of one reason to watch it, just to get pissed off even more right before a tourny, push yourself to do better and show that you and your dojo(dojang...etc etc) don't follow to Mtv piece of crap way.

Not a bad idea at all And if the people they pick are any good there is always the chance of picking up a new technique

MakiNerush Not a bad idea at all And if the people they pick are any good there is always the chance of picking up a new technique I'd say the chance is about as good as a split pot when someone holds a 2 and a 7 compared to pocket rockets.(poker analagy) They are probably going to go more for the showy type martial artist rather then the actual martial artists. Infact, this is basically a gian ripe off from UFC ultimate fighter(in my opinion, I'd have to see the show to clarify)

Its not just about learning from them, its about entertainment. If your just watching something to learn from it, go to the discovery channel.
