I suppose only God knows. There are mentions of " beasts", "monsters", and "leviathen", but no specific mentions of dinosaurs or dragons. The flood didn't screw anything up, it completely wiped out everything alive on Earth, save what was on the ark. Noah and his family started out new.

There could be a mention, in Job mostly. The 'behemoth' and 'leviathon'.

And remember, monkeys aren't mentioned specifically, but they were there too.

and the crationists crazy idea for this week is that the world was
1/3 water, 1/3 light contents(the contents todfay was mostly iunderwater and thats where the dinosuars and a flooting forest was) and 1/3 heavy content where the garden of eden was and along with humans, mamals, birds, flowering plants, then in the flood (about 1 year) distroyed it and crated polor ice caps to make the world it was today.

If you see the book of Job, the speech that God gave kind of refers to dinosaurs.

You do realize creationism is only the belief that a supreme being (God) created everything..right? No one knos much of what Earth was like. And the flood lasted for 40 days and 40 mights. That's not even close toa year.

Since this is a Christian guild, the Bible goes undisputed here. I don't mean that you can't disagree with it, I'm simply saying I don't want anyone flaming the Bible here.

I know I can't speak for windswept, but that seemed to me like a rather degrading comment. Perhaps it could be phrased differently?

Ehh.. Good point. I'm agreeing with you, [eclipsed]. Perhaps, if kanervdss doesn't want to rephrase it, he could simply provide an explanation for why he phrased it as he did.

On behalf of kanervdss, unless he deicides to speak for himself later; what he said, is not necessarily a) against the bible and b) flaming the bible.

It could be a, rather bad attempt, at criticising the bible. Furthermore, there is nowhere in the bible that explicitly states "Genesis is literal." As such, such a creation story is not a basis of the Christian religion. One could very well believe in SET and Evolutionary Theory and still be considered a Christian; until such a time when the bible does explicitly state "Genesis is literal and should be taken thus."

Furthermore, Creationism is not necessarily solely a Christian ideal. Creationism is a theory that is grouped in with the other Young Earth/Intelligent Design theories - which merely state that: the earth may be young (young earth theory) and that the earth may have been created by some higher power (intellignet design).

when i was little my dad told me (I think he was kidding) that he thinks God placed the bones in the earth so that we would ask questions.

God told noah to bring 2 of every animal, so I would think that if they were there at that time, then noah had them on the big boat; in that case perhapse they died off like any other animal. but if people saw them then you would think that there would be stories about them.

my personal theroy is that they lived for a vary short time (when God made the world he made thing full grown, he had to or every thing would have died) so by the time God made any changes like the flood and seperating people from eachother, the big lizards were already long gone for whatever reason.

My personal theory is that I'll get into Heaven, and be able to ask God Himself about dinosaurs. Oh, yeah, my theory rocks.

My theory is...

I have the sticky notes program on my computer and I am happy.

/ADD...

Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) made dionosaurs, then killed them two and a half seconds before making making a Peanut Butter and Jelly Monster (PB&JM) in a freak accident, while trying to make a peanut butter and pickle sandwich, causing a massive leak in the Hoover Dam, essentially creating all life as we know it now, as well as this massively long run-on sentence, that I will purposely not add a period to at the end of
