I thought D had brown or black hair?

Am I just confusing him with another character or am I really just crazy?

I'm sorry, I've seen nothing to do with Vampire Hunter D in years, but I remembered recently that I watched it a long time ago...

D does have a blackish brown hair color, however some of Amano's pictures of him has is blond or white. but none the less it's blackish brown.

I'm sorry, I've seen nothing to do with Vampire Hunter D in years, but I remembered recently that I watched it a long time ago...

His hair color should look like his father's in his youthful appearance. However, in the novels it seems D is slowly aging and with the passage of time through the series of books, he does seem to grow older and his hair is the one to start graying and even turning white and scruffy like an old man's hair. D unfortunately will eventually get old, but he's aging extremely slow. What most humans might not notice. Though there are some art pieces that Amano did that give D blond and even orange tones to his hair. Maybe he colors his hair as it turns white and he doesn't like his age showing?

I think most of Amano's pics have d with dark hair. However his artwork always reminds me of an unfinished sketch. Of course Amano has also done other things besides D and Final Fantasy. Such as Arslan-Senki and others.

i know, its confusing. the books describes him as pale with black hair but the author always paints him with white blond hair...Maybe it changes? XD

Didn't that old guy in Demon Deathchase/Bloodlust say that?

From the human perspective of looks he doesn't look much older by the second novel when Lina first heard his voice it was rusty and seemed like he was older and aged. And don't forget Granny Viper, she's a Dunpeal too and she is well aging and getting old and haggard after a few hundred years. Course D is not a typical Dunpeal and he has tasted the blood of many other creatures during his battles. Maybe he is becoming like his older brother Alucard, more Vampire like as he goes on. Alucard /Adrian Farenheights Tepes(Castlevania) was also a dhampir/dunpeal but he eventually evolved into a full fledged Vampire. I like to call those Vampiel. (A Dhampir that became a Vampire)

I was browsing around Wikipedia and found this:

D's age is unknown (although in the novel "Pale Fallen Angels" parts I and II, it is made known that he is at least 5,000 years old).
