Orgy is/was (their status is uncertain) an industrial pop/rock band from California that a lot of you will probably remember--their cover of Blue Monday got a huge amount of radio and MTV play in '98 and '99 and probably was the main reason "Candyass" went platinum.
Their first two albums are where it's at. "Punk Statik Paranoia" was a pile of steaming nu-s**t, and if that's the direction they were gonna keep going in, I'm glad the band's on extended hiatus.

Fiction (Dreams In Digital) is a catchy song, but I kinda got out of the Industrial-(insert genre here) thing.

*shrugs* I'm kinda rediscovering it after years of neglect.

Orgy has been a big favorite of mine since Candyass came out. I love and have all their albums, but I disliked Punk Statik Paranoia a whole lot, only two or three good tracks came from that album.

By the way, have you looked into Amir and Ryan's "side" project, Julien-K at all? If so, any good?

I think I did, I know they are my friends on myspace, back before I even knew who the hell they were. I've heard they were good, but I couldn't tell you off the top of my head.

Apparently, they have their band's first full-length coming out this year. I'll have to look into it...
Also, have you tried Zeromancer? They have a very similar sound to Orgy, I'd easily recommend them. I ask 'cause I made a thread for them already and Hollow was the only one to sound off, yet it seems like they'd be right up your alley.

I don't remember if I've listened to them, but I'll probably check them out the again if I had. Though, I really enjoyed Orgy for their dark almost gothic feel to them, and I enjoyed Jays voice. Godhead also have a similar sound in my opinion.

Oh, well there's plenty of that to be found in Zeromancer's catalog. I prefer them over Orgy, they seem more consistent to me. Anything from "Clone Your Lover," especially the title track, is good. Godhead has a strong NIN flavor to me, and I'm not terribly fond of that band.

Do comment in the thread if you find yourself enamored of them. Always enjoy recruiting new 'mancer fans.
I might get "2000 Years of Human Error" if I can find it for cheap, but I've only really liked half the songs on there.
