On your way out of the exam room an employee hands you three Pokeballs. "Please continue to arena 5 in the park across the street. Your opponent will be Brock of Pewter City. Thank you for participating in our test and good luck." Your Pokemon are: DiglettPonytaTangelaAs you arrive at your designated arena you hear the last trainers score. "35 out of 75, a lackluster performance. When you had the advantage your moves were strong and decisive but when pressured your will crumbled and you lost your focus. You must work hard to fight even when the odds are against you. Good luck." The last trainer looks slightly rattled as they leave the arena. As Brock's assistant leads you in you notice a gigantic hole has been burrowed into the arena. A tanned man dressed in earth tones calls to you across the Gym. "I'm Brock from Peweter city. Leader of the Pewter City Gym. I hope you got my question right on the Exam. Let me know when you're ready to begin."

Miomoko walked out of the Exam room, thinking she had done alright. She probably could have studied a bit more, but she didn't think she had failed. She was greeted by someone who gave her three pokeballs, "Thank you." Miomoko replied to everything. Then she bgan to run to Arena 5, and in almost no time she was there.
Miomoko could hear someone's score, and it wasn't the best score. At the same time, she heard a little bit of advice from what the last trainer had done wrong. Then another employee came over and escorted Mio into the arena. It was an amazing looking arena, so unique. She was glad to fight Brock, someone she definitely knew about considering he was from her home region.
Miomoko quickly checked out what pokemon she had, and then looked over at Brock, and said in a confident voice, "I'm ready to start."

"Lets begin then. We'll start off with something less solid. Omanyte, Lets go!" he called out as he tossed his first Pokemon forward. The spiral shelled Pokemon burst from its ball and peeked out from beneath its shell. It looked a little edgy and ready to duck back into its shell at a moments notice.

Miomoko nodded at the choice of Pokemon, "Alright." She said as she pulled out the pokeball that contained the Diglett she had been given for the challenge. "I choose Diglett." She finished as she threw out the pokeball, releasing the Diglett. Miomoko only wished Kian was here to at least watch, but she stayed focused, and made sure she wasn't going to get distracted by such thoughts.

((OoC: Are you sure. Remember Omanyte is part water. And Diglet is weak against those attacks. I'll let you take back one move if you like. I would recommend using one of your other Pokemon. Were you a little confused. You don't have to use the Pokemon in the order you were given them.))

((I wasn't confused just forgot Omanyte was part water >< I'll re-do that though, thanks for the tip and allowing me the edit =]))

Brock nodded. "Good choice. But the battle isn't over yet. Rollout!" Omanyte pulled its body into its shell and rolled forward towards Tangela building speed.
((OoC: Hit or miss Omanyte will keep rolling making itself a tricky target.))

Miomoko noticed Omanyte was a very fast when it began rolling, "Dodge Tangela!"
Tangela stood there, all of it's vines moving around, which usually distracted or annoyed the opponent. It heard it's command, and attempted to run out of the way. Even if Tangela got hit, it wasn't too worried, it was sure that Omanyte would be slowed down by all of it's vines on contact.

Omanyte didn't have a chance to get to full speed and became tangled in the vines before it could even reach Tangela. Brock Nodded. "Pretty good. Omanyte, Protect!" Omanite panicked and pulled itself into its shell to protect itself from immediate damage..

Miomoko noticed that to protect itself the Omanyte had hidden inside of his shell, and she wondered if maybe while it was in it's shell, tangela could some how get it's vines in their and drain some of the energy, so she tried a minor attack, "Tangela! Try Absorb!"
