The peaceful, cold night, was a mockery in his face. How can there be so much calm when he had that burning fire of rage flaring inside him.
That damned cat demon had been there earlier, bothering him, mocking him. Whats worse is that it was during one of the angel's curse attacks, so Maxx could do nothing but listen to the annoying little b*****d chime in little comments that made the dark angel depressed and angry at the same time. It left before the attack was over, and his attempts to find the mangy thing were in vain.

Without an outlet for his anger, he continued to have the urge to set some nice place on fire and watch all the people inside scramble to get out. Which is a little unusual for him, most of the time he'd burn down a place that was empty.

No, maybe he won't burn something down. Maybe he'll just...

Just...

Go bother Gabriel?

Maybe if he got him angry enough, a fight would break out between them.
That would put Maxxium in a better mood, or at least, vent his questionable frustration.

The dark angel walked down the road till he came to the orphanage and stood across the street, he leaned against the wall of an alley and stood there glaring at where the office was. He sent a wave of his aura towards the orphanage, but not with enough force to alert any of the other supernatural beings inside the orphanage. No, he just wanted to... 'talk' to Gabriel.

Yeah sure it wasn't his fault that Roland had got him riled up, but what did Maxxium care?

"Come here you ******** b*****d. I need a face to bash in." He muttered with a low growl in his throat.

The door opened and there stood the naga Reyna, being it was late, she wore a sari and face scarf instead of her habit. Her eyes were wide, looking at Maxxium in bewilderment. He was here for Gabriel, but Gabriel had left this place long ago. It had been a very long time since Maxx has "visited". She said nothing, this was not her business. She just cleared her throat, and offered him to come inside with a sweep of her hand. "I will take you to the headmasster's office." She said politely, closing the door behind him and walking then to show him the way. They passed door among door, walking through the hall that had the appearance of a fine school. She led him to the office marked "Headmaster" and knocked politely waiting for Amadahy to answer.

She looked up from behind the desk, dark circles beneath her eyes from lack of sleep. Since Gabriel had been taken, she had been a mess but still managed to keep the school going no matter what. She hadn’t cried though, her face barely breaking from its stoic look but if it did it was only for Edana and William’s young son who had been returned with Alicia’s pard. She sighed softly, just sitting in the desk to be near him tonight and when there was a knock on the door she jumped slightly. “Come in Reyna.” She said softly projecting the words with her mind. She sat up a bit straighter sensing the other presence with him and wondered vaguely where she had felt this familiar yet vague aura. It puzzled her mind until he walked into the door and she remembered that time long ago when she had returned to the orphanage and Iona had been reborn. “Maxx.” She said softly, her green eyes hardening against her emotions that she had begun to keep hidden. “What can I do for you?” Her swords were strapped at her sides and she barely took them off anymore.

When he saw the familiar nun woman that had always greeted him at the door, the dark angel approached. He walked past her and let her guide him to Gabriel's Office, but he didn't feel the archangel on the other side. It was confirmed that his brethren wasn't in there when he opened the door and walked in. Maxxium's head canted in silent question at... whatsherface, being there instead. When she addressed him as 'Maxx' he frowned and crossed his arms, pointedly looking around.

"Don't call me that." He snapped, after he was done observing the room, he returned his gaze to... um... what-ever-her-name-was. "Where is he?" He said in a demanding tone.

She forced herself to ignore his hostility. She forced herself to not draw her swords and lay them into his flesh. “I will do what I please.” She said calmly, her green eyes flashing. She had been itching to do something other than sitting behind this desk all day and playing with Edana and Will’s son. She loved them dearly but it was wearisome on her soul, on her spirit. She stood up from the chair, stepping around it to close the distance between them. “I wish I knew.” Her eyes grew sad momentarily before flashing again in warning. “Even then, I would not tell you.” She sighed then, setting a hip lightly upon the other side of the desk. She debated telling him what happened and decided against it. Maxxium was a loose cannon and she didn’t know how he would react. “So is there anything else?” She raised an eyebrow in question, sarcasm lightly lacing her words.

The red angel's eyes narrowed at ...whats-her-face, and he stared at her for a few moments, then looked away. "You wish you knew? What did something happen to that good-for-nothing-jackass?" Maxxium looked around the office again, then back at her to see her reaction. "Or did he just get bored of you and left?"

Her eyes flashed dangerously as he finished speaking. “Were you born stupid or was there a series of events in your life that just made you this way?” She uncrossed her arms, narrowing her eyes slightly. She pushed herself off the desk and crowded his personal space. She met his gaze without wavering and spoke slowly as if she was talking to an idiot. “Gabriel is not like you Max.” A slight emphasis on the last word. She felt her anger just boiling, pissed at her inability to do squat besides keep the school running. She did not know where Adiana and Ceritas were, did not know how to find them and dared not ask Iona for another favor. She didn’t ask Alicia, not wanting to bring back unhappy memories and unwilling to take the girl anywhere now that she had a child to care for. She knew William would flip if she did and so she held back, wanting to kill someone with her helplessness. She glared at him again. “The last time I saw him, he was hanging in chains.” Some quick flinch of pain glimmered in her eyes and was mirrored in her face, but it was briefly and she took a deep breath, taking a step away from him even as her green eyes rehardened. She said nothing else, taking in his reaction to what she said now.
