In an attempt to jumpstart this guild, I thought that there would be nothing better than to get a lively discussion going. Since everyone has an opinion on politics, lets talk!
I saw something hilarious when I went to see Avenue Q with Malomy. There is a song called "Only for Now" or something like that. Well... They listed things that were only for now such as being jobless and other things in their lives. Then, they got to the funny stuff. They said "George Bush" and then sang "is only for now." I died laughing. The entire auditorium went up in applause and they had to wait until we stopped to continue. It was great! xd
Gas prices: I have the worst fear that the gas prices will spike again after Obama comes into office. My reasoning is that I am afraid that the Bush administration is working to drop gas prices (since they have such stock in it). Then when Obama is in office, they might raise the prices again to make it look like Obama is the failure.
I heard this weird thing that Obama might be the anti-Christ. This is why: Nostradamus said that he would come wearing a blue turbin. Blue=democrat and turbins are associated with Muslims. The Mayans said that the world would end in 2012 also. All of this combined makes for a conspiracy. ninja

I wish I had a solid opinion on things. I never watch the news enough to even know what's going on though, and there are reasons for that. I can't read newspapers too much because I get distracted by something else, the same reason why I can't view it on my computer. The TV is also always taken up and occupied with some retarded-a** show on VH1 or MTV.
However, if Obama -is- the anti-christ, I'm sure a savior will turn up sooner or later. If the Christian God pulls all his people off the planet, I'm gonna be pissed for ditching all the non-believers simply for not believing in him.

Speaking of the end of the world, the movie "The Knowing" is actually really good. biggrin
I have been trying to find a job for about two months now, but everyone is laying off people because of the recession. stressed

Yeah. My brother's probably gonna be laid off here soon, and Dew, who hasn't been around here lately and I can't remember her username for the life of me, keeps getting kicked out of places because everywhere she lives is freaking condemned right afterwards. It's almost hilarious. Poor Stephy.
Also, this is Zom. I changed my username to incorporate Diablos. I was getting sick of Zom. :[

And on that note, I've finally got the internet back and I'll be sure to drop my say in daily like before lol.
In any case...
No offense Chibi, but politics suck... lol everything is based on politics, and who knows what will actually come of it anyway... I say we just do away with the government all together! rofl

Anarchy? That wouldn't be very good either. There would be a free for all. There has to be some system of government to keep peace in society. However, I think that we could all agree that there is too much corruption and bias in the political process.

Guild leader... yes.... National leader... I don't think that is such a good idea. This is my problem; I have tons of ideas about the way that things should be done, but I lack the initiative to do anything about it. When it gets down to it, I am pretty lazy. Then again, if I ruled the world, maybe people would start relaxing a bit more. I mean, everyone is rushing so much and getting so uptight over trivial things.

I found out on Mythbusters that drivers who drive stressed and angry use about 1/3 more gas than calm drivers. (I watch that show entirely too much.) By the way, it seems like gas prices have risen about 30 cents in the past week. I don't like this trend. xp I guess I should be sure to drive much more calmly.

But if you think about it, there is a paradox going on. Stress makes your gas millage go down. High gas prices make you stressed out. So, by increased gas prices, the fuel cost to you rises at a rate greater than that of the gas stations.

Exactly, I mean it's all inter-connected, but most of the time the connections are hard to make out, etc etc. Oh speaking of paradoxical inter-connected things... have you seen that show "the fringe"? It's a lot like the x-files. 3nodding
