Okay heres mine....not very long though....
My sister and I had always been trouble-makers, which is why our mother always wanted us to play outside, where we couldn’t break anything. But much to her dismay, there were always a few days where it would rain, leaving us no choice but to play inside. Today was such a day and my mother had restricted us to the living-room. We didn’t listen; we played hide- and-seek all over the house, and even got into our fathers study where we moved around his books. We knew we would get in trouble for it later, but we didn’t care. It was while we were in fathers study that we heard a weird noise.
It sounded like tapping on glass, so we looked out the window, but there was nothing there. We could still hear it of course and the sound was coming from inside the room. We looked around and noticed the noise was coming from behind some of the books behind father’s desk. We moved the books and there, in a glass jar, sat a beautiful fairy. She was pale and glowed slightly; her purple garments were so beautiful as did her wings. She gestured for them to open the jar, but just at that moment they heard their father returning from home. With one sad glance at the fairy they put her back on the shelf and hid her behind the books again. She was just going to have to wait for another day.

I like the idea! I am definitley going to enter!
not exactly long...
Like little footsteps, the rain pounded upon the window, like little pebbles it thrashed against the glass that held it back. Tara longed to yell at it, it was supposed to be snowing! February, and not a singly flake of snow. No one else seemed bothered by it, and that enraged her even more. With no hope for snow, i would never come!
(tired and music playing, can't think. write more later)

Cool idea! Let's see...
Okay, these are the main characters from my 2007 NaNoWriMo novel Breach.
Roan sat in the middle of the couch, his knees drawn up to his chest, listening to the pounding of the rain upon the roof. Every now and then, a gust of wind would hit the side of the house with a muffled whoomph, sending the rain tickity-ticking against the windows. Gnawing at his lip, he stared at the TV without seeing it, waiting, hoping, praying.
He didn't mind the rain, or the wind, but the weather report had called for strong thunderstorms in the area, and there was nothing he hated more than thunder.
He raised his head, his heart pounding, and strained to hear above the drumming rain. Was that a rumble?
"Ishaan?" He glanced toward the open doorway of Ishaan's study.
"It's the train," Ishaan replied without breaking the rhythm of his typing.
"Are you sure?" Roan asked, unfolding himself and rising from the couch. Ishaan's typing ceased and Roan heard him sigh.
"I've been living here my whole life. It's the train." No sooner had Ishaan spoken than the thin, high wail of the train whistle cut through the steady roar of the rain overhead. "See?" Ishaan said, and he returned to his computer.
With a sigh, Roan turned and picked up the TV remote. He started to turn the TV off, but a narrow black readerboard strip had appeared at the bottom of the screen, white letters scrolling by.
"Severe weather advisory," Roan read aloud. "Forecasts predict severe thunderstorms throughout the Livaryn Basin--Ishaan, where are we?"
"The Livaryn Basin," Ishaan replied with what sounded suspiciously like a chuckle.
"Well, s**t," Roan muttered under his breath and he turned the TV off. "And don't laugh at me," he added, stepping over into Ishaan's doorway. "I can't help it if I was traumatized as a child."
"I don't think you ever told me about that," Ishaan said, the blue-white light from his computer screen washing the tan from his rugged face. "What happened?"
"My brother and I were playing on the roof of our apartment building. I was six, I think, and lightning struck the fire escape not ten feet from where we were standing. We were pelted by bits of smoking brick and it took three days for the ringing in my ears to go away. It was horrifying."
"You shouldn't have been on the roof in inclement weather," Ishaan pointed out, his lips twisting into a half smile as his dark blue eyes shifted to Roan. "Just relax, okay. Go start dinner, or something. The storm will be over be--"
Flash!
Roan ducked, a short scream escaping his throat as he clapped his hands over his ears and tried to block out the sharp, chest-rattling peal of thunder that followed. Only when he was sure that it was over did he raise his head. He jumped, startled to find Ishaan standing beside him.
"You were saying?" Roan asked. Ishaan gave him a soft smile and shook his head, reaching up to brush Roan's messy blond hair back out of his eyes.
"C'mon," Ishaan said, grabbing Roan by the shoulders and turning him around. Roan allowed himself to be pushed out into the living room, but he still groaned.
"I don't feel like cooking, Ishaan--"
"No, no, I though of something else," Ishaan said, steering Roan around the couch and into the bathroom. "You need a hot, relaxing bath." He let go of Roan and stepped over to the large tub, turning the knobs until steaming water was pouring out of the faucet.
"I don't need a bath," Roan protested. "I need earplugs...or a sound-proof room." Ishaan left the water running and returned to Roan, trailing his long fingers down the middle of Roan's chest before grabbing the bottom of Roan's T-shirt.
"Here, let me help you out of those clothes," Ishaan said, slowly pulling the shirt up over Roan's head. As the shirt hit the floor, Roan shook his hair back out of his face and grinned at Ishaan.
"You're enjoying this, aren't--"
Flash! CRACK!
Roan screamed and threw himself at Ishaan, wrapping his arms around the taller man as he hid his face against Ishaan's shoulder. Large, warm hands slid across Roan's back, strong arms enveloping him as he stood, trembling and trying to catch his breath.
"It's okay," Ishaan whispered, resting his cheek against the side of Roan's head. "I've got you." For several moments, they gust stood there, holding each other, and then Ishaan raised his head. "Oops," he said, and disentangled himself from Roan so he could turn off the water before the tub overflowed. When he turned back, Roan reached up, cupped Ishaan's face in his hands, and pulled him down for a slow, deep kiss.
"I love you so much," Roan said, and then he slid his hands down to the front of Ishaan's shirt, his nimble fingers making quick work of the buttons.
"What are you doing?" Ishaan asked, arching one eyebrow as he pretended not to know exactly what Roan was doing. Roan grinned.
"It's a big tub," Roan said, "and until this storm has passed, I'm not letting you out of my arms."

for this week's topic;
My brother's walls were covered in Marvel stickers. My mother and father's room was convered in pictures of me and my brother and sister. My sister's room was covered in Barbie crap. But mine was different. My wonderful room was covered from ceiling to floor in Orlando Bloom fan girl crap (lol no not in real life xd ). I had 13 close up posters on the walls, along with about 33 on the ceiling for when i went to sleep. You couldn't go any where in my room without seeing his face. My door (on the inside) was covered in pictures of him in numerous movies, (lord of the rings, pirates, ect. ) and the outside had a sign, "The Orlando Bloom's biggest fan girl's room; ENTER AND DIE", and there was not a single movie that he was in that I hadn't seen about 10 times... just for the sake of seeing his face.
How's that for obsessive?

Emma Lee hated school. She hated it because she wasn't allowed to get on Gaia Online during school hours. Every day, she'd wake up at 3:00am just so she could be on Gaia before school. After school, she did all of her chores in 30 minutes then hurry and get on. Her dream carreer was to own Gaia. She had about half a billion gold, and spent all her money on Gaia Cash. Her room was covered in Gaia posters, bedspreads, pillows, toys, clothes, and any other thing you could imagine. She didn't care about her social life and only got good grades so she could work in Gaia. In school, all she talked about was Gaia. "Do you have an account on gaiaonline.com?" "I entered a bumping contest and won 100k." The only books she read were about Gaia. She did whatever Gaia told her to. Turns out, she bought Gaia Online with 1,000,000 Gaia Cash when she was 15.
No, that is not my life. And how's THAT for obsessive??? twisted
