Kashmira loved shopping. It was one of the best things to do in the world, and often when she was playing she would pretend that she owned her own special store, made of all her art things, and made people pay huge amounts of money for them because they were lucky items.
But.
Yeah, it was a huge 'but.' It was one of those that you knew would lead to something you would rather not hear. Well, at least Kash wouldn't want to hear. Kash had no luck whatsoever with technology stores. The moment she walked into one something seemed to pop or fizzle or make an annoying shrieking sound as if it were dying. And this is why she was now sitting in the middle of the kid's play area outside the Best Buy store at the mall.
There were large vinyl covered shapes scattered in the brightly carpeted area, and she was sitting on one of them, reading a book that she had just bought. It was called The Wee Free Men, by Terry Pratchett, and she absolutely loved it.

Caleb had been in the mall maybe twenty minutes and already his patience was wearing thin. For a normally laid back and happy man all it had taken was a few too many post holiday shoppers and a pair of children to drive him to near madness. All the man wanted now was coffee and maybe five minutes to regain some sanity and think of a better game plane than just wandering the mall aimlessly until he found a suitable store.
Morgan was oblivious to his uncles frustration, everything here was huge and shiny and there were a million places to go. Spotting the bright and fun looking children are he pointed excitedly " I wanna go."
Skylar followed the direction of the pointing finger and nodded in agreement " Pleeeeeeeeeeease?"
Caleb eyed the area in question and sent the gods of parenting a silent thank you as he nodded and herded the pair towards the carpeted area. Finally a chance for a quick break and it looked like the kids might get to play with someone too.

Kash glanced up from her book as she noticed two kids entering the play area, then broke into a grin. They were SO cute! She placed her bookmark in her book and slipped it into the pouch purse she kept hanging around her waist before hopping off of the play block and heading for the two.
"Hi!" she said, her furry, scaly tail waving happily. "I'm Kashmira!" She wasn't one for watching people before talking to them, especially when they were little kids. She didn't even really notice their uncle, she was enchanted by the twins.
She had never met another set of twins before!

Morgan grinned at Kashmira and bounced from foot to foot " Hi I'm Morgan, m'hats green" he informed her, pointing with tiny fingers to the top of his head. He wasn't sure why the colour of his hat was important but his father always told people his name and then he's hat colour so clearly everyone needed to know. " His hat's blue" he continued and motioned toward his brother.
Skylar tried to sway his tail in time with the girl's with limited success. " I'm Skylar, he motioned vaguely towards Caleb " An dad". Curious about the girl's tail he shuffled closer and reached forward wanting to feel it.

"My hat's red," Kash said agreeably, tugging on the red newsboy hat. She had no idea what the importance was with hat colors, but when in Rome, she figured. Her tail came around to let him feel, obligingly. "And I have a twin sister, too, so we've got that in common!"
The fur was silky and soft, not quite as soft as a bunny's, but softer than a dog's. The scales were smooth for the most part, and bumpy. "So Morgan is the one with the green hat, and Skylar has the blue hat," she said, more to memorize which was which than to agree with them. "Okay!"

Morgan admired the red hat for a moment before looking around for the mentioned other sibling " Where'd she go?" Losing someone was a bad thing, his father got all red faced and growly when he and Skylar went hiding.
Skylar grinned and as his fingers slid through the soft fur and then over the scales. " It's nice, like a blanket with ends." Ever the mimic he brought his own fur topped tail as forward as he could. Noting with a bit of sadness the lack of nice green scales like Kashmira had. he didn't know what they were for but they were certainly pretty.

She patted his tail obligingly, grinning as she sat down in front of them. "Oh, Rhye's in that shop over there with our Mama," she told them. "I can't go in, though, because the stuff in there doesn't like me very much. It always breaks." But now she was quite happy she wasn't able to go in there. These two were so adorable!
"Do you two know how to play tag?" she asked.

Morgan was curious about how you go stuff that didn't like you to break. Before he could ask though the girl mentioned the word tag and he lit up like a Christmas tree . He nodded quickly " Yep we like tag." It was his second favorite inside game after hiding.
Skylar fiddled with the ring in his left ear and he nodded as well " I like tag" He linked best when they were in the kitchen the floor let them side and catch each other.
From over where he watched Caleb briefly heard the word tag and smiled. That should be interesting, the twins loved to play it even if unlike most children they seemed to have a limited amount of energy. They'd be good for a round or two and then they'd be practically asleep from exhaustion. He'd nab one of those cute mall supplied strollers and just wheel them around if that happened.

"Okay! Let's play!" she said. "Who wants to be it?" she asked, looking at them thoughtfully. "I know," she said. "I'll be it!" She hopped to her feet, half again as tall as they were, almost. "Unless one of you wants to be?"

Both twins shook their and and grinned before splitting in opposite directions.
Morgan broke to the left away from the now huge girl and darted towards a purple circle that he could barely see over. If she went after Sky he'd hide behind. if not he's just have to keep running.
Skylar darted right was careful to keep his tail from dragging too much lest it get the itchy red burn carpets gave sometimes.

"Ooooh, two ways!" Kash said cheerfully, looking playfully thoughtful. "Now who do I do after, Morgan or Skylar?" she asked, her tail flicking back and forth. "I pick..." She started to turn towards Skylar's direction, then whirled, chasing after Morgan. "Morgan!"

Morgan paused to look over his shoulder only to see Kashmira headed right towards him. He squeaked and ran past the purple ball, small feet and short leg pumping as fast as they could.
Not wanting to get accidentally run into Skylar stopped when he saw Morgan getting chased. He turned around and began to move in something between a walk and jog after them. He wasn't really chasing them becuase he wasn't It but he just didn't wanna get in the way and get tagged either.

Kash was grinning as she got closer, only to trip over her own feet as she leaned forward to try and tag him. She twisted mid-air, turning so she wouldn't land on either of them.
"Ouch."

Morgan stopped at the exclamation and turned to look at the girl " You ok? Need a band-aid?" Band-aids especially ones with pictures on them made things that hurt better or so experience had taught him. Having fallen more than once himself in his short life he knew it wasn't fun.
Skylar inched forward silently also watching Kash uncertain of what to do.

She sat up, grinning as they got closer. "Yeah, I'm fine," she said. "I'm used to it." Then she touched the closest one, shamelessly taking advantage of their concern. "You're it!"
