Rocher sat by himself beside a snowbank that vaguely reminded him of a huge dollop of whipped cream. Or maybe marshmallow filling for some gigantic cookie. Either way, it made him a bit peckish. He reached out with a paw and absentmindedly scratched random patterns in the snow. He wasn't entirely sure why he was out here by himself; perhaps he sought a break from the noise and commotion of the clearing where the many namrah tended to gather, greeting each other and making friends, something he had yet to do. Yes, perhaps he just wanted a little peace and quiet. Maybe he needed time to collect his thoughts and figure out what he could do differently to be more.....charismatic.

Bazooka had wondered off away from the other new Namrah and headed out in the snow. What a pretty day. The snow was fresh, soft and looked pretty. He danced along in it until he saw the other male. "Hello, friend? Is this snow bank yours?"

Rocher gave a start and looked over at the male that had seemingly come from nowhere, blinking partially in surprise and partially at the other's bright colors. Looking from the male to the snowbank marked with his scratchings, he did his best to smile in a friendly way. "No, I don't believe so. It is all yours if you wish to play in it."

"Really? Well, that's nice of ya. I always wanted my own snowbank. It can be fun until it melts. Melting is rather sad isn't it? Although, if you were trapped melting could be good. I'm Bazooka, by the way." He talked rather fast. His mind worked fast so his mouth tried to keep up.

Rocher continued to sit there and blink at the other's happy chatter. "I suppose.....if you're trapped in the snowbank...." He smiled again as the other seemed to be catching his breath. "My name is Rocher. Nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you Rocher. So, what are you doing right now? Want to do something? I'm not sure what but I'm sure we can think of something." He had already forgotten all about the snowbank.

Something to do? Rocher pondered for a moment, his brain still absorbing the rest of Bazooka's chatter. "Well, there IS a lot of snow here......" He picked his brain, trying to remember what one did when surrounded by snow. "We could build snow sculptures. Or go sledding. Well, we'd have to find something to sled on for that.....or we could find a pond and try to skate, though if the ice is thin it could be dangerous."

Bazooka nodded as he listened. "Yes, I see. All of those sound fun. How about we try them all starting with the snow stuff.?" He then looked back at the snow he was standing on.
Bazooka put his front paws in the snow and began to build it up. He didn't how to make anything but snowmen so that's what he was doing.

Happy that his pessimism seemed to be overlooked, Rocher nodded in agreement and looked at the pile of snow in front of him as though it were a formidable opponent. What would he sculpt? He looked over at Bazooka's growing snowman, and a thought grasped him. He dug a hole in the snow until he found a rock about the size of his paw, and covered it in snow like an overgrown snowball. Then he set it down carefully and began to pile snow around it in a roughly spherical shape.

Bazooka smiled at Rocher as the other began to build as well. Bazooka now had the three circles. "Ah, now I need something." He said as he looked at it. Bazooka then bounded off for a moment. He came back with two sticks and some rocks. He put the sticks in the sides for arms and began to use the rocks as eyes, mouth and nose.

Rocher paused and admired his handiwork, which looked pretty much like a plain, round ball of snow with a rock somewhere in the middle. "Hmm...." he mused as he watched Bazooka run off and return with decorations for his creation. "I too need something." He trotted over to a large branch where icicles dangled in a neat little row like teeth. He swatted with his paw and broke nearly all of them off, then he picked up as many as he could and returned to his ball of snow. Once there, he began breaking the icicles into small pieces and sprinkling them onto the ball.

Bazooka looked over Rocher's creation. He tilted his head from side to side. He wasn't sure what the other male was making, but so far it was neat. "I like it." He commented as he went back to his own.

"Why thank you." Rocher said with a gracious bow. "It's a white Rocher chocolate; there's an almond in the middle, surrounded by cream, then a thin wafer dipped in white stuff, and finally sprinkled with coconut flakes. They're delicious."

For a moment Bazooka thought that was crazy. Not that Rocher built a snow candy, but that he would eat his own kind. Then Bazooka figured it was just a candy not a relative. "I see. Mine is a snowman. Normal, but is he?" Bazooka's eyebrows waggled as he put more rocks on the snowman's face.

Rocher smiled as Bazooka waggled his eyebrows. "I dunno; is he?" He watched Bazooka put more rocks on the 'snowman' and wondered what was so special about it. Not that he thought his snow candy was better (though he thought it was rather good) but he wondered if there was some sort of surprise to it and he waited to see if it was true.
