If anyone has played this game, it would be wonderful if you could list the Pokemon found in the Pokedex of this game and where they were found, thank you.

Here are the legendaries (one chance-if they faint, you'll have to trade to get them) you can obtain in Diamond/Pearl (Sinnoh pokedex-without trading): Uxie-psychic lv50-Lake Acuity Cavern after Spear Pillar event Mesprit-psychic lv50-Lake Verity Cavern after Spear Pillar event-after seeing it, Mesprit will run off. Use the poketch app "Marking Map" to track it down. Mesprit will run away on the first turn when you encounter it, so use a pokemon with higher speed to inflict a status condition on it the first time you encounter it. After that, you can do one of three things: whittle its hp down through multiple encounters with a low lv pokemon that knows quick attack, use a pokemon with high attack, is faster than Mesprit, and knows false swipe, or have a pokemon that can use the move mean look or block and is faster than Mesprit (make sure you are stocked up on items for catching legendaries before using mean look or block because this will start a fight with Mesprit) Azelf-psychic lv50-Lake Valor Cavern after Spear Pillar Event

Dialga-steel/dragon lv47-Spear Pillar (Diamond only) *Note: if Dialga flees during the battle, you can rebattle it after entering the hall of fame Palkia-water/dragon lv47-Spear Pillar (Pearl only) *Note: If Palkia flees during battle, you can rebattle it after entering the hall of fame **Note on Dialga and Palkia: In order to get the national pokedex, you'll need to see Palkia (Diamond) or Dialga(Pearl) by going to Celestic Town (after Spear Pillar event) and talking to Cynthia's grandmother-she'll show you a book with a picture of the pokemon you need to see
Catching a legendary pokemon tips: 1. Use a pokemon that is within 10lv of the pokemon you are trying to catch 2. Use a pokemon that can use a regularly effective (no damage multiplier based on opponent's type) move and a not very effective move 3. Use a pokemon that the opposing pokemon's attacking moves are not very effective or doesn't affect your pokemon 4. Bring LOTS of ultra balls and healing items 5. SAVE BEFORE ENCOUNTERING

Here are the legendary pokemon you can catch after obtaining the national pokedex: Heatran-fire/steel lv70-Stark Mountain Interior Room 3 (after speaking to Buck in Survival Area after visiting Stark Mountain) Regigigas-normal lv70-Snowpoint Temple B5 *Note: In order to face off, you'll need Regirock, Registeel, and Regice in your party. To get them, bring them over from Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald and catch them in Pal Park (Route 221) Giratina-ghost/dragon lv70-Turnback Cave Cresselia-psychic lv50-Fullmoon Island (after seeing it, Cresselia will flee and use the same method that you used to find and catch Mesprit) *Note: Talk to the sailor who takes you to Iron Island after obtaining the national pokedex to gain access to Fullmoon Island

The 3 Regis can be obtained by doing the following (all steps): 1. Catch a Relicanth (rare-underwater) and obtain/catch a Wailord (Route 129 or train a Wailmer (use either a Good or Super Rod(I cant remember which) on any ocean route) to lvl 40) 2. Go to Pacifidlog Town and make sure you have pokemon that can use Surf, Dig(you will most likely need it), and Dive. 3. Put Wailord and Relicanth in your party. 4. Go to the dive spot west of Pacifidlog (it might take a few tries because there are currents). Use Dive at that spot and follow the underwater trail. Resurface in front of the writing on the wall. 5. Go to the back of the room and open the wall by using dig right in front of the writing. Go into the next room and put Wailord in the first slot in your party and Relicanth in the last slot. Walk to the center of the room. When you get the cavern to rumble, you can then get the Regis.
*Note: You will need to have completed the Sootopolis City event in order to catch them.

And this is for all three Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Now, what makes me wonder is, if the answer to that question was so simple, then how come gamefaqs always goes for the illegal route?
To me, that sounds fair and square to me. I know where relincanth is (Near sootopolis city usually, but appears after a few clamperl and that electric water type) and I normally fish Wailmer once I have the super rod and I have to train my pokemon to a higher level before taking on the elite four or something. Sometimes just for fun or... no, wait, usually I would train my pokemon by catching wailmer when attempting to take on the psychic twins. Solrock and Lunatone are level 40+ Both are psychic rock pokemon and the best thing that kills them is water types. So a wailmer and a relincanth would be perfect against those two, except one problem, no dive until after twins are beaten.
Oh well, that's okay, two wailmer is just as nice. Teach them both surf and you have it made. And if you just so happened to have trained a mudkip (which I didn't for my new ruby file I trained torchic) Then you really have it good.

Ooooooops. Relicanth is supposed to be in the first slot and Wailord is supposed to be in the last, according to my guide.

Time to catch the Regis. First on the list is Regice. Regice can be found in the Island Cave which is found on Route 105 (Surf down from Mr. Briney's cottage; on the left side). Enter the cave and check the writing on the wall. I've already translated it for you-"STOP AND WAIT. WAIT FOR TIME TO PASS TWICE." After reading the message, just stand there and wait for about 2 minutes (menu cannot be up). A doorway should appear which leads to Regice's chamber. Regice is an Ice type that knows these moves: Icy Wind, Curse, Superpower, and Ancientpower. Regice's ability is Clear Body, which prevents stat loss.

Now that you've captured Regice, it's time to catch Regirock. Regirock can be found in the Desert Ruins (found on Route 111 in the southern sandstorm area). Before you head off, get a pokemon that knows Strength. Once you find the ruins, enter the cave, and read the writing, (translated as "RIGHT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN. THEN, USE STRENGTH.") go two steps right, then two steps down and use Strength. Regirock's moves are: Rock Throw, Curse, Superpower, and Ancientpower. Regirock's ability is Clear Body.

Once you've caught Regirock, the last on the list is Registeel. Registeel can be found in the Ancient Tomb (Route 120-go left and up from the girl that gives you berries). Before you go, get a pokemon that knows Fly. The writing here says "WITH NEW TIME, HOPE AND LOVE, AIM TO THE SKY IN THE MIDDLE." Go to the center of the room and use Fly. Registeel has the Clear Body ability and knows: Metal Claw, Curse, Superpower, and Ancientpower.

Now, what Pokeballs do you recommend capturing these three? Have you actually done this?
And I also wonder now about Latios and Latias. How to capture them.

I would recommend Ultra Balls-at least 40 per legendary. I have caught all three. Also, I forgot to mention that in Emerald, the way you open the chambers is different. I can't post the details yet because I started a new game.
Latias can be found in Sapphire and Emerald* after you enter the Hall of Fame. Latios can be found in Ruby and Emerald* after you enter the Hall of Fame.
*Note: In Emerald, you can pick either Latias or Latios by watching the TV and selecting "RED" for Latias and "BLUE" for Latios.
**Note: After watching the TV in any of the three versions, you can randomly run into the pokemon on different routes (Routes 111, 117, 110, 132, 133, 134, 129, 130, 127, 128, 126, 125, 124, 123, 122, 121, 118, 119, and 120). Latias and Latios are traveling pokemon, like Mesprit and Cresselia. Keep track of their movements in the three versions by using your pokedex. You can use the same strategy for them. Latias and Latios are both Dragon and Psychic types with the Levitate ability (Ground type moves cannot hit them).
