ok i know the PS3 is lacking in this category....ok seriously lacking. But i was curious to see if anyone has gotten their hands on whats out there now. Im looking for something that can cure my Final Fantasy itch...and i know that nothing will cure it, but i guess im mainly looking for something to just hold it off. Ive been looking at Valkyria Chronicles, but im a lil hesitant. Reminds me of Fire Emblem a bit too much. Ive thought about Desgaia 3, but i dont like strategy rpg all that much...
so i ask...is there anything that anyone would suggest??? also any other games that you think that i absolutely much play??? im looking to buy a game this week, so dont keep me in suspense guys!

i have valkyria chronicles. i was thinking of playing it next. it is a strategy rpg, but it's not grid based, it kinda takes a different route. i hear that it does involve a great deal of strategy though.
honestly, the reason i'm holding off playing it at this point is i know there will be dlc later and i most likely won't go back to it after finishing it. hopefully there will be a trophy patch, but i'm not holding my breath. i just don't want to get through the game and then trophies come out because i'm fairly certain i won't be playing through it twice.
i guess there's always eternal sonata, i heard it was decent, definitely more along the lines of final fantasy than VC or D3. also, it's not a jrpg, but i've heard nothing but good things about fallout 3. it might be a good choice if you liked oblivion.
pretty much, we'll all be holding off until we can get our hands on white knight chronicles and final fantasy xiii/versus whenever they make an appearance.

If you're into the whole open-world RPG-thing, Fallout 3 is a great choice. I own and love the game. It's like Oblivion with some twists. There are some things that I wish they had from Oblivion, but there are more things that are great that aren't in Oblivion. It's an all-around fun game and if you're into that kind of thing, I'd highly recommend it.

Lucifer Moloch If you're into the whole open-world RPG-thing, Fallout 3 is a great choice. Correct Fallout 3 is the best RPG I have ever played in my entire life. The graphics might be bad on the PS3 but not buying Fallout 3 just for the graphics make you a total failure. For me, gameplay is the most important and Fallout 3's gameplay is crazy ownage. Get it or get bored.
