Spirit: In the late 1970s, Corwin Jacob Mealey was a lauded yachtsman and old money heir who spent most of his time sailing around South America, instructing his crew of near-criminals to go ashore at night and raid the small villages that lay along the tiny jungle rivers they sailed by day. Only one person on the boat, Judith Myers, Corwin's former nanny and sometime lover, had anything resembling a conscience, and as long as she kept quiet about their dirty dealings, Corwin permitted her to spend his money on thoroughly humanitarian causes in his name.
When Corwin was murdered by modern day pirates, most of the world remembered him as an honest environmentalist, killed in his prime.

None really, at least not yet.
Favorite clothing
Much as his spirit preferred, Jonah likes well-made, "rich-looking" clothing. What his guardian can provide, however, are too-large t-shirts, drawstring beach shorts, and other wonders of the Blue Light Special.
Personality
Jonah might not remember anything of his past directly, but he knows he's better than you, and resents the fact that he's somehow way more cute and useless than he deems he should be. To put it simply, he's a b***h, but he's a b***h with an ego, so if you're full of compliments and perhaps delicious snacks, he'll probably tolerate you.

The West Indian Manatee (Trichechus manatus) is the largest surviving member of the aquatic mammal order Sirenia. It is a species distinct from the Amazonian Manatee, T. inunguis, and the West African Manatee, T. senegalensis. Based on genetic and morphological studies, the West Indian Manatee is currently divided into two sub-species, the Florida Manatee (T. m. latirostris) and the Antillean Manatee or Caribbean Manatee (T. m. manatus).
Like other manatees, the West Indian Manatee has adapted fully to an aquatic life style, having no hind limbs. Pelage cover is sparsely distributed across the body, which many play a role in reducing the build-up of algae on the skin. The average West Indian Manatee is approximately 3 meters long, and weighs between 400 and 600 kg, with females generally larger than males. The largest individuals can weigh up to 1,500 kg. The Manatee's color is gray or brown.
The Florida manatee, (Trichechus manatus latirostris) a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, is the largest of all sirenians. Florida manatees inhabit the most northern limit of sirenian habitat. They are found in fresh water rivers, in estuaries, and in the coastal waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Females usually have their first calf when they are about 4 years old. Normally they only have one calf every 2-5 years, but there are rare occurrences of twins. The family unit consists of mother and calf, which remain together for up to 2 years. Males aggregate in mating herds around a female when she is ready to conceive, but contribute no parental care to the calf. Florida manatees may live to be greater than 60 years old in the wild. The biggest single threat to Florida manatees is death from collisions with recreational watercraft.
These animals are surprisingly agile in water, and individuals have been seen doing rolls, somersaults, and even swimming upside-down. Manatees are not territorial and do not have complex predator avoidance behavior, as they have evolved in areas without natural predators.
The West Indian Manatee is an opportunistic feeder, with large adults feasting on nearly 9 to 30 kg(20 to 65 pounds) of sea grasses and plant leaves daily. Because manatees feed on abrasive plants, their molars are often worn down and are continually replaced throughout life. They are also known to eat invertebrates and fish.

Corwin was every inch the overly confident playboy, and while he was aboard his yacht, he enjoyed donning low-slung seersucker pants and... that's about it. On land, he dressed for the occasion. The places he frequented mostly called for business-casual suits, and when forced to visit relatives, he usually wore chinos and some sort of designer t-shirt. The only pair of jeans he owned once he grew old enough to buy his own clothing was given to him as a joke gift and remained unworn until the day he died.
