Yes, I'm going to do the impossible. I'm going to learn FreeBird (including the solo) and then I'm going to perform it for all the world to see, or at least everyone on youtube, and at school.

Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd

(This is the solo)

I need help, and tips.

STARTING NOW!

My performance will be near April in that area. For those of you saying, "THAT'S A REALLY LONG TIME NUB!111!11!!!!11!!" Yeah yeah, go suck a d**k. This song is actually hard, not like Sweet Home Alabama. This song will punch you in the throat, in the crotch, and it'll rip your head off and s**t in it. Seriously, this song is difficult.

HELP ME.

DAY .5

LUM'S LOG:

I'm slightly nervous, and questioning morale. I'm not sure if I can do this, but I have to try. A few seconds ago, I heard something, but it's just my sister. I'll need to practice everyday, and work hard. This song is challenging, but I think I'm up for the challenge. I'll report progress day by day, with news.

I really can't say much since I'm not a guitarist.
I suppose practice and then record yourself every few weeks to hear and review.
April is still a bit from now and I'm here to show you I do notice things.

From what I saw of the video, the music is just a bunch of little parts played repeatedly in quick succession, rather similar in some ways to the way you play bagpipes. A hint for that would be to learn one little part until you can play it at a fair speed, then learn the next little part, then try and play them together. When you get that down, learn the next part, and add it on to the other two, and keep going like that.

Day XXX

LUM'S LOG.

Progress has increased, success throughout the song is now at 100 Percent for rhythm parts, 90% for the solo, and approximately 50& for the lead throughout the song. Although I won't be playing that, it'll be rhythm, my bandmate will be playing the lead throughout the verse and chorus. He'll then accompany me the solo as it requires two guitarists to make way through the solo.

Due to equipment shortage, I am unable to record any audio or video files, I fear that this may be for a few more months.

Thank you to all who have given me help, it's much appreciated.
