Was it the familiar 2-d fighters fighting other familiar 2-d fighters? Was it non-stop combos from hardcore menices? Was it the pretty girls kicking butt? Was it the well done anime chars such as Haruhi Suzumiha, Anime-Techno, DBZ chars, etc? Was it the feel you get when you smash down on a combination of buttons and then active a special you've never seen before? Was it learning your own combo for the very first time and using them on the AI? Was it playing online with a friend and the adrenaline you get when winning?

I am on a crusade to help bring this guild back to life. If you're not apart of the crusade, then you really shouldn't be in this guild in the first place now are you?

I Am A Retired Mugen Player. When I Was Into Back Then, It Was Just Simply To Test My Skills With Different Types Of Games I Didn't Feel Like Spending Quarters On. I Was Also Working On My "Unmasked Hiryu", But Stopped Because I Was Pretty Bored With It. I Released It, It Was Alright, But Meh. I Can Probably Post It Here Later If I Find The Character File Somewhere, Well The New Version With A Portrait.

hello m8tes! did u miss me?

(back in 2005)
the first time i fell in love with mugen was when i was so obsessive with mortal kombat. When i was searching for a game that resembled the game itself i saw a video in youtube about mugen and it was sub zero vs scorpion. I was amazed at seeing the fight because of the custom combos, great animations, and the cinematic stage that was within the entire video. I then searched google and found the no limit patch and dl'd it. ever so excited i was, i searched the net for a bunch of characters and also found out there was more than just adding mk characters and next thing u know i started downloading sf, anime, kof, and other characters and just went crazy over the next few months playing the game.

(2006)
as a whole year passed by i entered junior high school and also discovered gaiaonline which at the time was very popular in my school. as soon as i discovered gaia i started to collect plenty of gold, customize my avi, and i joined a couple of guilds. as this was all happening my mugen roster grew at a rapid rate, ranging in about 3,000 characters. after all those characters i now started to get rares like vincent valentine, cid (which at the time was rare), safer sephiroth, and nearly all the kh characters. after all this i started to think, "hey, i wonder if gaia has a mugen guild" and next thing u know i found the mugen fighters guild

(2007)
as another year has passed, i became the second vice captain of the guild for supporting it and keeping it alive along with the help of marth670, pieman, timus, and many others. the guild was becoming a success as we got so many members in and the forums were active. because of this, we had enough donations to create subforums, and now everything looked nice and organized. Though as the guild was starting to progress, it was now becoming inactive again. why? i don't know. probably because people just came in here just to download our stuff then leave which probably was the outcome or maybe people got bored of mugen and after all of this, one of our crew members left the game completely, marth.

(200 cool
its been an entire year, marth left, inactivity issues, and next thing u no my mugen got corrupted. as time went by i nearly went to gaia 1-3 times every two months just because all my friends were now inactive and i had no internet for an entire 7 months so i was completely left out of everything that was happening in this guild. up to this point now i was thinking, "what's the point? if my mugen gets corrupt again then i'll have to add the characters manually again" and to be honest, i had 7,000 characters and that was just hell getting everything together again. so now i nearly didn't touch the game anymore because of this

(2009-present)
with 2008 ending, i've nearly stopped playing the game, was it because of the fear of breaking it again? no. was it because of collecting all the characters i needed? no. was this because i got bored of the game? well, not exactly. so what was the real reason? I got a new macbook. as many of you may have known, mugen never made it to the mac, and therefore limited me to play it on crossover or restart my computer and play it on my windows partition. so now i was nearly cut off from playing it. now as a retired mugenist i must say the last few years were great. i had tons of fun with mugen. but now as a mac game porter i just lost interest. so now i shall end it with this, "just like power rangers, the game gets old after awhile" -marth670

i will still stay active though to help out the guild
