It was mid-afternoon when Riot made his trip to 'the teahouse' in search of a new teapot. His old one had finally broken when a careless customer had bumped into his desk and knocked it off. So, now he was in search of one, and probably a whole new teaset to go along. His old set had slowly been falling apart over the years. Well, time for a new one.
As the tall black neko approached the shop, he started feeling somewhat nervous. He'd heard quite a lot of talk from girls in his store about the owner of this place and his utterly godly good looks (not that fangirls didn't exaggerate but still). So, when he'd asked where this place was so he could get a new tea set, they'd started giggling and squealing like crazy, particularly at the thought of the proprietor (well, and of him meeting Riot but the neko wasn't exactly the most confident in his looks and didn't often notice when squealing was partly intended for him).
Oh well, time to go in. Hopefully he'd be able to get this done and get out of there without embarrassing himself.

Talhevar stood behind the counter, scooping strawberry chai leaves into a tin for a young woman. She was blushing visibly as he idly chatted and laughed with her. He was often curious about why these girls seemed so interested in him speaking Japanese. It was just a language like any other!

Riot quietly entered and looked around, trying to be as unobtrusive as possible. He managed to observe the owner out of the corner of his eye and could easily agree, this guy was gorgeous. However, he'd come here for a reason and he should probably concentrate on that. Anyway, the owner was busy with a customer right then so he felt a little safer about not being noticed too much. Why he didn't want to be noticed? He wasn't quite sure of that anymore.

There were various pots, some more modern where the tea leaves were separated from the water, and the average where you just plopped it all in together. They were all clay and hand-painted, so the signs said, but they didn't quite say who had made them; no brand or anything. The current customer left, and Talhevar wandered out into the shop to help the others. He approached the only other non-human in the shop.
"Can I help you?"

Riot looked at him and nearly jumped (luckily, he didn't because that would probably result in some very nice things brekaing). However, his ears and tail did fluff up just a bit.
"Oh, um, sorry. Just trying to find a new tea set. It's been a while since I've looked for one." he replied sheepishly. A very veeeeeeery long while indeed.

Talhevar gave a soft chuckle. Aww, poofy cat-man was poofy. How sweet.
"Well, do you prefer leaves in your tea or not?" he asked, caressing the handle of one of the three pots that seemed to be made of glass.

"Ah, um leaves usually, but I'm not particularly picky." the darker one answered, his fur slowly un-poofing as he got over his surprise.

"Good, good," Tal nodded, "Glass or clay?" He lifted the glass pot and caressed the handle again, staring intently. It was in his nature to be seductive, and he enjoyed it even more when he had apparently just surprised a poofy cat man.

"Glass." The words were soft, assured for a change. He had a bit of a fondness for blooming tea on occasion. It was pretty and amused him. Even if his brother did complain about it a lot - then again, he complained about the tealeaves too.

"Would you like to try some samples?" Tal asked, putting the teapot down and lifting a small tin, taking out a little blooming tea ball and waving it under Riot's nose. He lifted a small glass cup with a twisted handle and offered it to Riot.
"Is this your style?"

"S-sure?" he asked, blinking a bit. He always felt so odd shopping, particularly for himself. He wasn't that picky, for the most part, so deciding what to get was somewhat hard.
"I-I guess. I'm not particularly style conscious." the neko admitted with a slight blush. This was sooooo embarrassing.

Tal didn't think it was embarrassing. Nothing really embarrassed the man any more.
"Feel free to browse."
He took the pot and cups up to the front desk and waited.

Riot nodded and looked through the teapots on his own for a while. After a bit, he finally found a few kinds of tea that were suited to his tastes. So, heading up to the front counter, he hoped to pay for what he'd picked out and just head home. At least then he'd be able to calm down and relax for a while.

Tal scooped the tea and wrapped the pot and cups at his own leisurely pace.

The neko blinked a few times at that. "Uh...um...Riot, sorry." he blushed a bit. Wow, way to go Ri', forget your own name for a little while. He was very lucky that Wincott wasn't there.
