User Image Standing at the crest of a hill, Jonquil felt like the possibilities were endless. Possibilities for what? Well, for everything.

Snow drifted lazily from the skies, spiraling downward in leisurely patterns. Though some days he might have chased them and amused himself, he'd woken in a somewhat introspective mood, not one that lent itself to flights of fancy. Not to say he wasn't entirely open to them, just that he was in a more peaceful mood that day. Still, from his perch overlooking what seemed like an endless expanse of land, it was tempting to push his contemplative mood aside and tumble down the hill.

Lifting a hoof delicately, he snorted, watching his breath form a vapory cloud in front of him. No, the fall was much too elongated, and he didn't want to be bruised after a tumble.

There was only so much he could do on his own, however. He'd spent the morning wandering nature, observing the brilliant architecture of the forest, sampling freshly fallen snow. He'd allowed his mind to wander and hadn't quite gotten it back; his own fault, but soon enough he would be among family and friends, and conversation would come easily. They'd grown used to his wandering nature by now, and few asked questions. Once in a while he took company along with him, and he was beginning to think that, despite how much he had enjoyed his time to himself, it might have better suited him to have someone else along.

After all, he could be enjoying a quick and friendly romp in the snow now if he had.

Tossing his head, braids whipping around his face, he began his descent down the hill, lifting his legs high above the snow to carve a path through it. Initially, he meant the move to be practical, but soon he found himself putting a flounce into his step, a smile curving his lips. Before he realized it, he was having fun, prancing his way down the hill with his tail swinging merrily behind him.
