He furrowed his brows.

From what he could recall Pele was suppose to arrive just before sundown and spend the rest of the evening with him and, with hours long passed, there stood the massive God simply sitting in place upon the rocks. Part of him remained his typical self- laid back, calm and worry free while the other half of him was begining to become somewhat frantic and thinking the wost. What if something- no, someone had totally hell munched her or got into a gnarly fight with her? Although that was highly unlikely as were many of the other circumstances that toiled through his mind, Juuku bit down upon his lower lip and curled his fluffy, strange otter tail around his body.

"Deeeep breaths, dude," he exhaled, already begining to pace nervously in circles upon the worn sea rocks. Hoovering, draconic wings fidgeted above his body as his ears seemed to simply flatten against his skull. "Maybe she totally just ran into another wahine or- or maybe she's just.... DUDE SHE'S TOTALLY WAITING FOR ME!"

A sudden laugh escaped from his chest as the god shook his head. Was that it? Juuku wasn't quite inept with being able to remember but it seemed logical didn't it? If Pele hadn't come by now then it was he whom had forgotten that he was suppose to meet her!

But that was far from the case.

Frantically the lumbering God leapt down from the toppled sea rocks and began scowering the sands. Keen eyes narrowed slightly as his tongue poked from out of his maw, a serious expression for a great oaf who was sifting through the sands.

"Get the gift, find Pele. Wicked! I just gotta... get the gift. But where did I put it?"

Already running circles within the sands as his mind was far lost to cluttered thoughts and excitement, the God suddenly sat down upon his haunches and knitted his brows.

"Soooooo, if I was a gift where would I put me?"

Although not the sharpest, Juuku certianly wasn't going to leave anytime soon without a gift. Of all places and times he needed a miracle- well, he needed TWO miracles. One to find the gift and one to explain to Pele that he forgot.

This was going to be a long night.

Posca let out a long sigh, her usually empty eyes scanning over the blue horizon. The blue was reflected in them, swirling around like the rainbows off of a puddle of oil. It was unusual for her to come to the ocean... Usually she prefered things that were green. Trees and flowers... But this was nice too. Everything was so blue... And she could not decay water! Sure, the small puddles around her quickly turned green and stagnant, but the ocean moved too quickly and violently for her to ruin in. It was flawless...

She stepped out into the waves, her paws sinking into the wet sand. Her toes wiggled, and she smiled wider while her wings twitched gently, swaying in the calm wind. Another step out, and still the water was beautiful around her. Clear and vibrant... The goddess had not been this happy in quite some time. Her chest felt heavy as she gazed out over the water. It was truely breathtaking.

So caught up in the view was she that she didn't even notice the other god further down the beach...

There wasn't much time for thinking, Juuku thought. If he still wanted to remain on good terms with the Goddess he'd have to put his toes to the nose. If there was a place which he could find something that was not only shiny but also appealing it would be the ocean. Perhaps a pearl would be enough to say 'I'm sorry for forgetting that I was suppose to come meet you and I hope you're still my lover'? It was a bit of a stretch. The Goddess of Volcanoes, like her domain suggested, had a fiery temper and seemed to hold a grudge for a while. Like the time Juuku had accidentally misplaced her necklace-

He shook his head. That certainly, of all things, didn't need to be remembered.

But although Pele was a fiery, spirited individual, Juuku was still hopelessly head over paws for her. He may not be the brightest, the sharpest or the most smooth of Gods but he did his best! With one step forward there were several more that often set him back just a bit yet determination and a deep rooted crush seemed to keep him on his toes. Besides, she couldn't stay mad at him forever could she? Who couldn't love a large, clumsy, fluffy, loveable oaf?

As a newfound hope seemed to suddenly kindle inside of him, the God rose to all fours and suddenly leapt towards the water, plunging down beneath the subtle waves as he began his search anew. Rocks were abundant and he had tried to present the Goddess with one before and that didn't go so well. A fish or crustacean certainly wouldn't last long and truth be told Juuku would probably eat it before he could even give it to her. Sinking lower within the depths of the ocean, the God began gliding about as his wings gave a gentle propulsion forward.

"Shiny thiiiiings, aw- dude, that would be SO perfect. Some of the really shiny things that were just down a ways, 'cha? She would so dig that!"

With the distance being something that he could have simply walked to, Juuku's mind was set. He had earlier recalled the flat, round shiny objects that were discarded along with those very pretty rocks- the shiny and nearly clear colorful ones which seemed perfect, especially for an apology present. As his thick. fluffy tail acted like a rutter and steered him in the right direction, Juuku ears perked upward as a strange sensation seemed to course within the shifting pull of the waves.

Someone was here.

Hoovering in place, the God tilted his head as he peered above towars the surface. A few feet away he could barely make out the distorted reflection of someone above while the waves seemed to carry a new feeling of happiness and relaxation within them. Juuku pursed his lips as his curiosity, as well as his short attention span, got the better of him.

Who was this dude or dudette that was late night crashin' on the beach? Excitement seemed to stir within him as began to surface slowly, head first. His messy, white mop top of mane surfaced first followed by his eyes and nose as he drifted a bit closer. Regardless of the time of day, there was totally nothing like crashin' the beach or hangin with the local grommets. But, slowly, he was realizing this was no small grommet or typical beach bum. This was-

"WOAH! Dudette- you've got some serious wings... just like me!" Juuku exclaimed, much like an estatic cub whose manners were more often forgotten as curiosity took over. As his head surfaced up from the water he chuckled deeply, fangs glistening as the water droplets rolled from off of their tips. "Sweeeeet."

Not thinking much, Juuku drifted slightly closer as a broad, goofy grin stretched across his maw while detatched wings rose from out of the ocean.

"Soooooo, what brings you out to the EAC, dudette? Can't say I've seen you here before. Crashin' and then cruisin' or bunkin' for the night?" Oh. Wait- he was forgetting something, wasn't he? He chuckled sheepishly.

"Beg your pardon, dudette. Totally forgot the intro; Names Juuku! And you, dudette?"

The goddess had walked further into the waters, ignorant to the other's presence. Her fur became slick and wet, though there was an odd glisten to it, as if it were coated in something thicker than water, some oily substance that reflected the light in odd ways.

The white mane seemed almost to be a part of the water, at first... But then the rest of him surface, and she found herself stepping back slowly, startled. Her black eyes blinked at him slowly, her mouth gapping open slightly.

"Oh... Well, um..." She continued to blink at him with slight confusion as he spoke. She'd never heard anyone talk like him before. Then, when he asked for her name- or at least she thought, anyway, she smiled. "My name is Posca... It is a pleasure to meet you, young sir..." Her voice was soft and had a motherly tone.

"If I may ask... Well, you are quite obviously a God, do you control these waters?"

Attention was clearly there as his mouth gaped open slightly while his head tilted in an intrigued fasion. He was silently intaking all that she was speaking of but it seemed that the odd glistening of her fur adorned with some unknown substance to the rather large brute seemed so mystifying. His own fur was thick and repelled water easily but never did his carry such a lustor. The pools of blue embedded within his face continued to helplessly stare in awe; he enormous black wings, to her strange tail and even her orbs of endless voids of black only seemed to stir his eager curiosity. Dude, he totally hadn't seen a Goddess like this! The questions only continued to swarm his head and sorting them was more than a challenge yet, at the same time, he had to remember his manners. Surf always seemed to forget the simple steps when his excitement got the better of him which, sadly, seemed to happen at every meet and greet.

"Priiiiiimo, Posca," he chuckled, adorning her name with something he could remember and a bit of a sufer flare as he did with all he came across, "its toooootally an honor, dudette, most excellent fer suuuuure!" A broad grin only stretched farther across his maw while the small, hoovering, draconic wings on either side of his head wriggled with emphasis for his stoked nature. Juuku remained a drift, floating in place while his thick, otter-like tail swayed gently with the motion of the wakes. It would seem that the waves themselves were churning with their own happiness as the Gods emotions unknowingly played into the motion of the ocean.

Catching wind of the dudette speaking again, Juuku rounded his mouth in an 'o' shape for a moment. Before he could answer there was something bodacious, something really nice about her tone. Why? Juu wasn't sure. Either he was trippin' or there was something strangely and bewildered with a sense of familiarity but inside it made him only more happy. He closed his eyes as the thought process continued, head again tilting as he chuckled with a relaxed and very non-chalant reply. "No need for formal jargon, dudette! You're kosher and Ohana, 'cha?" Pursing his lips momentarily, he continued to her poised question.

"I wouldn't say controooool persay, Primo Posca, I'd say more like creating surfari's and some toooootally gnarlatious surf. But its not over all the water, ya'know? Just the Surf, dudette. There's a few other dudes and dudettes that handle the glassy mistress but 'm definitely over the boss waves and those radical green room set ups."

It seemed a repeatative and circle answer but in the mind of Surf it totally made sense. Granted that his unusual slang and diction was more than a challenge for anyone to fully comprehend it was, in a way, the best suited lingo for him to fully express his passion for the surf. There was something about the waves that were not only adrenaline coursing, reckless rushing and heart pumping- the waves also seemed so relaxing and soothing! Juuku would be so content just by sitting on the beach and listening to them for hours. The sand and surf flowed endlessly through his veins; it was a part of him that would never leave nor could ever be forgotten. His domain completed him and made him who he was; a beach bummin, wave chasing, cowabunga yellin' fiend of the sea.

And he'd never trade it for anything.

Stepping back from his deviation, the God grinned. "What about you, Poscaaaa? I totally tried to guess but I couldn't put my toes to the noes on what your domain is, dudette."

The older goddess just continued to stare, her normally empty eyes going a bit more blank as she tried to understand what in the world he was talking about. She was a contrast to him, old and worn, and she really had no idea what these 'hip' words were. Still, after a few moments she managed to... vaugely understand what he was saying, and she cleared her throat.

"I... see." She shifted a bit until she was sitting on a patch of shallower sand, so that the waves coming in did not crash on her face. They seemed to get more and more lively, around him. It was endearing, in a way. Posca always enjoyed watching cubs and other younger folks, their energy amazed her.

"My domain is Decay. I control things rotting. I'm afraid it is not as... beautiful and glamorous as your's, but it is my duty to tend to it." She smiles softly, nodding. She did not seem sad about the fact. She had learned to accept it a long time ago, though seeing a flower die because of her did make her heart twinge...

"At any rate, it is a great pleasure to meet you, Juuku. I hope you do not mind me watching your work... It is very beautiful, the waves."

As the goddess seemed to settle within the water, the God tempered the waves just a bit so neither his excitement or the water wouldn't cause a mix up or stir unecessary splashes. Although his curiosity and thrill was still heightened, he tilted his head slightly with glee while an optimistic spark seemed to kindle.

"Aw, but Posca, it doesn't matter if its bodaciously beautiful or totally gross- a duty is a duty. Gotta be proud of what you do ya'know? We've all got a purpose and its toootally like... you're just as important as say the sun god, 'cha? Its gotta happen or that funky system totally gets thrown out of whack," the God mused, a deep chuckle emitting from his chest. "Dudette, could you imagine a world without decay? I'd be raaaank! You're most definitely needed just as much as the moon, wind, fish and elements are, fer suuuuure."

Bobbing slightly in the water as the waves gently rolled toward the shore, Juuku shook his head. Mind? Oh no- he didn't mind at all! He may influence the waves and create that radical motion which played a role with the ecosystem and gnarly components but it wasn't his. Why would he keep this for himself? Aw, dude! Everyone needed a bit of R and R and face time with the waves! It would totally solve most of lifes problems and uproars, Juuku was convinced.

"Primooooo Posca," he laughed, shaking his head with a warm smile. "I don't mind at all dudette! The waves are for anyone and everyoooone to enjoy- totally can't keep 'em for myself or what would the ocean be? Just a glassy surface- dudette, I think not. Ocean needs its motion."

Content as ever, the God slowly shifted his position and began to float on his back; wings sprawled outward within the water while his tail continued to sway with ease and keep him in place. His head perked up slightly at her comment, leaving him a bit tickled. "Aw, I believe the credit goes to the Goddess of the Ocean- she totally keeps this place spotless. But thanks, dudette! Its my hobby. I'm a tooootal junkie for the surf."

With reasoning that he had talked enough, Juuku still had questions.

"So Poscaaaaa," he beamed, curiosity infectiously stirring a continous smile. "If ya don't mind me asking, what brings you down this way?"

Posca nodded slightly, smiling gently. It was getting a bit easier to understand him now, though she still had to pause and mull over his words occasionally.

She nodded in reply occasionally, obviously interested. A few times her eyes flickered out over the water, but they soon returned back to him as he spoke. "Thank you..." She said softly, bobbing her head gratefully. "Most people are... put off by my domain, and it is defenitly refreshing when I meet people that accept it."

"Hmm..." Her wings fluttered, water beading off of them like a duck's. "To be honest, dear one... I am not sure. You see, I am not bonded to one place, such as you. I am constantly wandering, constantly traveling. I like it that way though, I get to see many, many things... Like the ocean here. I would not be able to see the wonders of the world, otherwise... I merely came because it... fascinated me. The water is not as tainted by my presence... It always stays beautiful..."

"Put off by your domain?" His brows knitted as he was somewhat surprised. Unfortunately the world didn't replicate his own sense of curiosity and child-like awe, perhaps that was good thing in some cases, Juuku found it strange. "Pshaaaw, dudette! Then those dudes and dudettes certainly aren't takin' the time to get to know you! I totally met the Goddess of Fear once- I was kinda confused but she was toootally chill and really sweet. If they can't accept it then they don't understand it, ya'know?"

It seemed so simple! There was no need to be rushing into things and judging someone by their domain or what have you. Perhaps grommets, dudes, dudettes and the rest of 'em could find some sort of unity and spirit if they took the time to figure things out rather than running off with some bad ju-ju. The God tilted his head slightly, exhaling with a sense of upmost chill factor; there was a part of him that enjoyed being kept to the seas as, for a dude, the world was certainly a confusing place.

Juuku pursed his lips. Although he was content with being tied to the sea there was a part of him that still enjoyed romping around the mainland. Granted that the prickly sensation of grass upon his paws wasn't enjoyed, he still found it exhilarating to venture into the mainland and see what there was. Besides, from his ventures he had certainly discovered those strange, tangy but sweet, fleshy food that hung from trees! Even though land didn't captivate him as much as the sea, the food that laid in wait within the mainland had won over his stomach. But he had wandered several times- meandering up toward the volcanic ridge where Pele often lingered and even out towards that nifty place- Pride Rock was it? Duuude, so much gnarlatiously awesome things!

"Ooooh, I gotcha," Juuku followed along, nodding his head as his maw gaped open with a broad, goofy grin. "But I'm suuuuure you see tons of cool places, 'cha? I've seen a few but I totally can't ditch out on the ocean mistress," he laughed. "Besides, that scorching heat and sea of grass is toootally not fun to deal with."

As the movement of the waves caused his body to undulate with a replicated fashion, the God hummed softly to himself a simple tune as his wings tucked closer to his body. "See? That's the sweet thing about water- it has a very chiiiiiill way of reacting to whatever mixes with it. Not in a mondo harsh way but it can co-exist with it, ya'know? And whatever mixes with it, the water seems to always keep that really beautiful appearance. Whatever comes in contact with it the water does its thing and coo coo cha-chuu, it still keeps on rockin' and rollin'."

With a slight lean upward, the weight of the God caused his body to sink bottom down. Once again, Juuku continued to bob upright within the water while he gave a simple chuckle.

"Totally like life, 'cha dudette? Whenever something fronts you, ya' just gotta adapt," he mused, a relaxed sigh escaping from his chest. "Its awesoooooome."

She couldn't help but be amused by the young god's words. She supposed grass could be quite troublesome to someone that was used to water... She had never thought of it that way though.

"It is most people's way to fear things they don't understand. I do not blame them. Most mortals have never seen a god, so when they do it can be quite frightening... I do my best to reassure them though. I do not wish to hurt anyone, to be honest... Ah, the little one... I have met her too. Have you spoken to her lately? I hope she managed to break that curse..." The last part was said mostly to herself, falling pensive for a moment... Then she shook her head and looked back to him, smiling again.

"That is very wise of you to say, dear... It is true though... There is nothing to do by adapt. Though sometimes that it harder to do than to admit..." Her short glossy fur swayed in the water, though it was mostly too short to move a lot.

She sighs contently and sinks deeper into the water, letting the cool liquid pass over her back and neck, soothing her.

"Seriously," Juuku replied as a small frown tugged at his lips.

He couldn't blame mortals for becoming frightened or rather apprehensive when it came to encountering them- Juuku himself had some very unusual encounters but, then again, he didn't rest of point the blame in the direction of the mortals; if anything it would be alarming to realize there were rather larger lions who were anything but ordinary! And besides, some of those Gods and Goddesses out there could appear pretty intimidating or fierce- definitely not a good mix for a mortal to come across them, become totally confused and come off with the wrong idea of what Gods and Goddess's were, 'cha?

His ears seemed to perk slightly, head tilting to the side. "Ah, Kit? Can't say I have dudette- our meeting was brief though I hope she's okay. Don't exactly know what she was facin' head on but the dudette seemed a little blue. I hope she's stayin' afloat." In the chance run in he had with the little Goddess, Juuku hadn't deciphered much about what exactly she was facing. To him, the little Goddess was interesting as well as totally cool. Who knew Fear could be so ridiculously gnarly?

Juuku's bumbling mind seemed to ooze back with attention as he grinned and nodded his head. "Nothin's really easy, ya'know? Just gotta keep on swimmin and sooner or later you'll tooootally ride that wave back to shore. It all adds up to somethin' in the end," he commented, giving another nod of his head while a tapered mess of white mane wisped about.

Relaxation seemed to stir within him and, subconciously, the God slowly sank beneath the surface momentarily as he exhaled deeply. For being a God who constantly remained in a rather chill and laid back demeanor he felt as if he was experiencing a deeper level of R and R. He couldn't describe it except for one word.

"Sweeeeeet," he sighed, slowly rising up from beneath the waves as he gave a lopsided grin. "This is tooooootally what I live for. What about you Primo Poscaaaa? How do you unwind from a totally bummer day?"
