I was cleaning my boy (every day he gets a new mysterious stain, from god knows where) and I didn't notice until the next day that I accidentally Magic-Erased a tiny dot to the side of his right eye. It took off a tiny splotch of three painted-on eyelashes and the blushing around the eye. How do I fix this?

Certainly I need pastels, oil-free, chalky and fine. Do I grind them up into powder and apply them with a brush? And paint the lashes on? But with what?

And he needs to be sanded - what grit of sandpaper do I buy? What colour? Does it matter?

Something like this happened to my doll recently--only she tried to jump to her death (>.<)

Well...you're probably going to have to take all of his faceup off--which you can do with Non-acetone nailpolish remover (clear is best) or just plain old rubbing alcohol.

After that you need to seal your dollie-dearest again with whatever spray you use (Mr. Super Clear, ect.).

The pastels you're looking for are called 'chalk' pastels--every craft store sells them. There are two ways to get the powder: just rub the brush against the pastel a bit or rub the chalk only a piece of paper and rub the brush in that.

The eyelashes can be painted on with either watercolors or acrylics. However, if you use acrylics they need to be thinned. I tried using plain old water, but didn't get good results, so try using acrylic thinner. I think Volks sells it (I can't think of the brand name). And use the SMALLEST BRUSH POSSIBLE (size 18 or higher). Otherwise it'll look like CRAP.

Sandpaper might not be needed depending on how much the nail polish remover/alcohol takes off (I've never needed to sand Seki!doll). But I suggest using 400-grain or finer. Or, once again, go to Volks' site and order the sanding cloth (which is just waterproof and gets around contours easier). AND DON'T PRESS HARD. You WILL scratch your doll's face and, as you can guess, that's not good.

I need to sand off a stain on his butt, not his face. Sorry for not specifying that. What grain should I use? It's only a light surface stain I'm sure... What grain and what kind of sandpaper? I asked my mother, the manager of a tool company (who can freely help herself to inventory) and she asked which kind. She says there's some for wood, some for metal, etc... Help?
