Nazih moved a little slowly as he walked. His feet were tried as he was too he was more of emotionally tired than anything but he wanted to wander away from the beach and his adoptive mother for a bit. Once more wandering paws were getting the best of him. He had the urge to get out and thats what he was going. Escaping his thoughts too, the ones that he wanted to get out of his head more than anything. It felt good for him to get ot he really liked it out here. Wandering around.
But with his feet aching the way tehy were he felt like he needed to sit down and rest for a bit. He shook out his coat then wandered over to a rock a nice sized one and flopped down on it streching out the most he could. A smile growing on his maw as he could feel the sun coming down from inbetween the fliter of a tree above him. It made him smile a purr started to escape his throat.

Chinedu was out traveling. His father had felt it better for him to go out and meet others. He was on a quest of his own and left his only son behind saying it was too dangerous. At the same time, he'd told Chinedu to go out and find his own path.
Everyone had to do it sometime and his mane was coming in. No need to keep him at home. He had claws and teeth and had been taught how to use them. He prowls around, not really sure of what to do with himself or even what he's looking for.
He's just out for a stroll. He's heading toward the smell of salt and the allure of the ocean when he happens upon a rock. At first he doesn't notice gray on gray but slowly makes out the from of a male lion.
He sniffs slightly then steps forward to make himself known. "... Hey..." He greets quietly.

Nazih'Matata streched out just a little more. His tail flopping around on the rock that he was laying on. Making a very small thump, Thump, Thump sound. He smiled softly licking his lips, the feeling of the sun beating down on his gray colored pelt. It felt so good. A soft purr escaping his throat. But then something mingled with the saltly air around him.
He knew it was another lion. But he wasn't that sure if it was really important for him to get up. He laid there for a moment, relaxing, thinking about what he was doing. But then the voice made him have to get up. He lifted his head a little groggy then shifted so he was sitting up then looked over at the other male. It was the same age at him. "Hello." He awnsered back looked down at the male, then nodding. "Who are you?" He asked a little gruffly, but he was very much un-threating.

Chinedu was surprised to see another adolescent. It made him feel better about the weird shape his incoming mane had taken. He gave a shy paw at the dirt. He had come up to the lion who might have been sleeping and interrupted him. He had a reason to be gruff.
"Chinedu. You may call me Nedu if it suits you better." He responded in a light and friendly tone. "What is your name?" The mostly white lion was heavily muscled and large for his age. He'd spent most of his life training and it clearly showed in his girth but he was also sleek, his legs held the majority of his power making him fast and agile.

Nazih'Matata looked over the male from where he was sitting, his ears twitching at the wind that was blowing softly. His tail flicking behind him slightly as he sat where he was, he was wondering what the other male wanted. However at the other's friendly tone he relaxed slightly figuring the other male didn't want any trouble.
"Hello Nedu." He nodded flicking his 'mane' out of his eyes. "My name is Nazih'Matata... I've never seen you around here Nedu." He stood up stretching slightly as he did before jumping down off of the rock. He was pretty well built for his age, he spent a lot of his time running, romping around. When he wasn't with his family he was exercising. "What brings you around here?" He asked arching a small brow at the other male,, his tone, also now light and friendly.

He was glad to see the other becoming friendly. He was worried that he had bothered him. "I'm new to this area." He responded and found himself eying the male with interest. He was a strong one. Maybe they could go hunting together! "My father told me to go find my own way for a while then return to the troupe I'm from. So I wanted to see the ocean so started toward the smell. Am I going the right way?"

Nazih flicked his tail behind him before smiling at the male. "Ah, your not the first around lately that are new." He chuckled softly. "I've seen a few out here that are also new, getting lost." He laughed before smiling.
"Ah yes you are, I come from there, thats where I've been living with my adoptive family." He grinned flicking his hair out of his eyes. He liked the forest, not as much as some places that he had been too.

Chinedu smiled back, his white fur shading pink with light embarrassment. "Oh good... An adoptive family? That sounds almost like what I have." He dared to approach close enough to get a sniff of the other male's scent. It was clear he was a tad shy but knew how to assert himself if need be. "Would you mind taking me to the ocean? I've never seen it and I'd hate to get lost... well more lost then I am." He chuckled in a friendly way.
He took a step back and sat down in the shade. The sun often burned the skin under his pale fur. "Or would you like to go hunting? I don't know the good places to hunt here."

Nazih yawned slightly trying to fend off the sleepyness that was till over him. It wasn't one where he would fall asleep as he was walking however it was enough to make him feel like maybe trying to go to sleep and acting like he was instead of getting interrupted, but at the same time company wasn't that bad. He stood up completely and then jumped off of the rock landing firmly on all four paws. "Well, its an interesting one and I really only talk to my adoptive mother but its still nice." He then smiled softly.
"I don't mind at all." Then he shook his head to the next question. "I just went hunting not that long ago. Not really up for the run anyway." He used to love running but now he didn't even really want to bother with it... "If you really want to I could help you hunt some, other wise the ocean sounds nice right now." He grinned at the other male, plus he was supposed to be heading back soon some time. He loved living on the ocean, he would have to say he got his full of wandering around and living from place to place.

Chinedu tilted his head. "Really? I talk to everyone in my family..." He trotted to the other adolescent side and flicked his tail. "There's two cheetahs, a wild dog, a lot of hyenas and me and my dad." He said counting them off mentally before sniffing at the ground slightly.
"That's alright! I don't mind. I bet I could find something. I just really want to see the ocean. Lead the way!" He could probably find it with his nose but this was a lot better, he loved company. "So is the ocean full of monsters like they say? Sharks and stuff?"

Nazih shrugged to the males question, he flicked his hair out of his eyes then chuckled softly. "I talk to him, but just not as much, is what I meant." He shook out his coat once more making sure that the dust was off before chuckling at the male. "That sounds like a very interesting family. It really does. I never really heard anything like that. I've heard of prides and families of lions but nothing like that. It must get interesting." He chuckled again before looking around.
"Well keep up." He grinned at the other male before he started walking toward the area that he now knew all too well. The place that he lived with his adoptive mother and his other 'family'. "Full of monsters?" He mused to himself thinking, he had heard of things like that. "I think there is." He made a small face for a moment. "I would love to find out but I heard they they are really deep in the ocean, to far for lions to swim..."

"Oh..." He responded then gave a small grin. "I don't know if 'interesting' is the right word for it. I've heard of prides of lions but I've never seen any. I heard they're huge! I've always kind of wanted to see one. We're lead by Taban, he's one of the cheetahs."
He looks up and quickly catches up with Nazih, looking at everything with a bit of wonder. "Oh? I wonder what they're like... How far is too far for a lion to swim?"

Nazih'Matata looked at the other male and chuckled softly. To him the pride that he had did sound very interesting and led by a cheetah. He knew that he had heard of them but he really had never seen them up close. He never got to meet one. "Well, they are." He said with a nod. "When I was little and part of my old pride I remember it being really big." He chuckled softly there were a lot of lions in that one, a lot of cubs that he played with. He also remembered a lot of family wandering around there.
"I wonder too.." He laughed before looking at the male his more cubbish side coming out a bit. "Umm... I really don't know. My mom always told me not to go past where the waves start to get really rough." That was pretty far out. Well atleast to him. He really never went more that neck high. He hated getting salt water getting stuck in his nose or down his throat.

He glanced over at the other male, very interested. "You were? Why did you leave it?" He asked as he padded along side him, lifting his head to feel the wind in his mane every once in a while. It smelled so clean and all the sounds were so beautiful.
He locks his eyes upon Matata's again. His soft pink eyes glimmering with amazement. "You've been in it? What is it like?" He couldn't help the questions that rose out of him. He always wanted more information. Even more to try it himself. He was an endless question, always wanting to know.
