Rod ran swiftly over the snow. Really, he hated the winter holidays. Reaqlly, many called him a scrooge. Those holiday loving people had never been nearly decapitated by a flying sleigh. and for some reason it always seemed to DIVE TOWARDS HIM every single christmas eve. Well, it wouldn't get him THIS time! He was going to be in a friendly house or a cave or something before midnight! He would keep running until he found it.

Aiday sat on a tree branch, looking at the icicles that hung below. She exhaled a small cloud of breath before shivering. She wasn't a real fan of cold, or snow, or wind, and that's all that seemed to be around these days. She had a nice warm room back at home, but that got boring after a while, so she had come looking for some interesting rocks. She had yet to find any though.

Rod had no real feelings about the cold. Or the heat. Or anything, really. Except those damn sleigh bells...
For a moment, he thought he heard them. He looked up as he ran, searching the sky. Nope. False alar... While he was looking up, he ran into a tree. Wham. "Oww..." he said, trying to pull himself together. His head and neck hurt like crazy, and he could swear that he saw stars.

Aiday's eyes narrowed and focused as she saw something, it looked orange, running towards her. And as it got closer, she could tell that it appeared to be some sort of namir, though not one she had ever met before. He kept coming nearer, and nearer, and he wasn't slowing as he neared the tree. "Hey! You're gonna ru-" she lightly yelped as she was nocked out of the tree, and shot the male an irritated glance.

There were stars, sparkly... No, wait... Those were icicles. Sharp and icy. Right above him. He quickly crawled out of the way before they fell. Something else had fallen out of the tree... He shook his head to clear it. It was another namir, and it was not happy. "Uh... sorry about that..." he says, dizzy and sore. Great. If he ran like this, he'd hit something again. And again. And he couldn't see any sort of shelter from the low flying sleigh of doom.

"You better be..." Aiday snapped back. Now she was sore, and wet, and cold. Oh how she was begining to hate this season. She folded down her ears and looked over the male from her new spot, he didn't look like anything she had seen before. "Just... who are you?"

"Huh?" he shook his head again. The other Namir was not happy. He shook his head again. "Uhhh.... Me? I'm Rod.... uh.. You?"

"Rod is it? Well, I can certainly say that I've never seen anything like you... Just what are you? I beleive I'm safe to assume a pokemir of some sorts?" She stood up and casually leaned against the tree, ready to move out of the way if he attacked. She knew how much pokemir loved a good fight, or at least the pokemir she had met.

"Yeah, yeah I am.. I guess..." He had heard Pokemir used for him once or twice before. It fit. He had heard of them fighting, and he liked a good tangle now and then... But he really liked to run. He was good at it, too. Good endurance. He looked anxiously at the sky, in case that damned sleigh was coming or more icicles were going to fall on his head. Which was, by the way, beginning to clear. "Yeah. Whats you'r name, by the way? And what kind of 'Mir are you?" He asked. It was only fair, she knew his name and what he was, so he might as well know her name and what She was. She had very eye-dazzling markings. Checkered.

Aiday nodded as her assumptions were proved to be correct, she was generally pretty good with things like that. Her ear twitched lightly as she wondered what he was so anxious about, it was as if he was waiting for something, not as if she commented on it though. "I'm Aiday, just a normal 'mir... I ain't nothing special like you pokemirs tend to be. You a fire one?" It was only natural for her to ask about his powers.

"Eh? Yeah. I am. I'm fine here in the cold." He blinked. Having met few other Namir due to his constant scramble away from the SLEIGH OF DOOM, Rod was surprised that such eye-catching markings would be on an ordinary namir. Certainly, Aiday was an interesting name. "uh... Hey..." he said awkwardly, wanting to get going, but so bored out of his furry skull anyway that he wanted to stay and talk to SOMEone who was outside on a snowy, Cold, Christmas eve. "Can you run? For a while at least?"

Aiday smirked lightly to herself, her ego being boosted ever so slightly as her assumptions continued to be true. The smirk vanished casually at his question, almost turning into a scowl of some sorts. "Of course I can run, never met anyone who couldn't"

"Well then..." said rod, shaking out his fur, which was covered lightly with melting snow, "Lets run." and with that, he sets off at a tentative sprint, still a little bit woozy from his head-on encounter with a tree. As he ran, the snow left on his coat melted, and regained its orang-y fluffyness and bounciness, keeping him cozier than he had been.

Aiday shrugged before running after him, assuming this to be something more entertaining than just standing around. A good sparring match would really be what she would have preferred, but this would do for now. "So, any reason why ya running?"
